Genuinely doesn't know what to make with it/how to deal with it
Honestly, since he IS rough around the edges, the care he feels for you might not be as evident. Unless you're willing to count him brusquely cursing how you're always getting yourself hurt or into trouble as 'care'
Interactions with you are contradictary in every sense of the word... He will help you fix something without asking while mumbling how annoying the task is (it's not at all)
Offers you tea after a long day and will FUME if you refuse
Says how bothersome you are and yet (surpise surprise) still chooses to hang out with you
Cid just doesn't want you thinking he's going soft on you cause you're special or something (you most definitely are)
It's 50/50 whether or not Cid makes the first move
A blunt man, but sweetly caring in his own way for the one he admires
Vincent Valentine
He clocks his crush pretty quickly. Not one to have romantic interests often, but when he does, it slowly consumes him
Vincent admires quietly and from afar. He is not one to wear his feelings on his sleeve.
However, there will be times he drops hints (albeit it unintentionally)
Constantly wandering around you, actively listening whenever you speak... You're one of the few people he'll bother talking with daily
Parts of his outwardly coldness softens when it comes to you. Very subtly, but it's there if you look hard enough
Vincent is also very protective of you... to an almost obvious degree. Whenever there is the SLIGHTEST hint you're in danger, low and behold, he's somehow there just in time to save you
BUT, the likelihood of him confessing are low (unless you do it first). Vincent just thinks he's not worthy enough for your love
Overall, he is a silent but devoted admirer
Genesis Rhapsodos
Genesis is practically enamoured with you, even before he officially realized it was a crush
Forces Encourages you to get into LOVELESS for his sake. He wants to talk about it with someone else other than Angeal and Sephiroth!
He is actually pretty bold with his advances. Genesis will genuinely just drop compliments like they're nothing. Are they corny? Yes. But good luck trying to get him to believe that
Even so, he practices how he'll profess his love to you whenever there's privacy. Also constantly reminisces on past interactions with you, and wishes to see you again as soon as possible
His infatuation with you is comparable to his obsession with LOVELESS (if that's even possible)
Definitely would make the first move... in the most over the top way possible
Genesis is overall a obsessed and flamboyant type of admirer
Zack Fair
Zack is textbook definition of a hopeless romantic
Lover boy at heart. Always has been and always will be. So expect that to translate into his interactions with you
Makes excuses to help you out with literally anything. Zack is #1 in acts of service
Will definitely flirt with you A LOT, like complimenting your looks and such, but sometimes it doesn't always land. He isn't as great at flirting as he might think he is
He still has his ways though... He doesn't get the reputation he has from nowhere!
Zack makes sure to always be respectful with you! He never wants you to feel uncomfortable around him. The greatest honor is if you feel safe around him
Depending on the circumstances, he will usually make the first move. It might come as soon as he sees you, or after a few weeks of bashfully bantering with you
But, in general, Zack is a very enthusiastic and kind admirer!

Mother Base was surprisingly quiet today. Granted, you hadn't been on it for long—you just got here about a few days ago. But you had expected it to be, well, more chaotic.
You were recently recruited for Diamond Dogs, since you felt like the military was the only place where you truly belonged. Whispers of the one and only Big Boss running the place had spread around and fallen upon your ears. That was enough to draw you in. Big Boss... the man, the myth, the legend. The greatest solider of your time. Who wouldn't want a guy like that to lead you?
Anyways, here you were now, exploring the base, walking to nowhere in particular. You pass by different scenes and people, some of them training, some gossiping and relaxing on the job. Eventually, you unconsciously bring yourself to the local range, where your fellow comrades were practicing their aim.
The first thing your register is a tall man with gray hair, who was coaching the soliders at the range. His bright red scarf stood out to you the most, the item making you recall a certain friend you had long ago.
Adamska.
Or, as he was later known as, Major Ocelot.
You and him were both codebreakers for the NSA, and through that quickly became friends. Trading work with each other when needed, telling stories on break, and having each other's backs regardless of what happened. When Adamska proposed to you to defect to the Soviet Union with him, you didn't have to think twice. One trip later, you and him landed in the terrain of the Soviet's, with nothing but the clothes on your back and the bullets in your pockets.
To say that you were anxious to start over—in a whole new country no less—would be an understatement. But with your good friend by your side, you both managed.
Yet, somehow you guys got caught up in the mess that was known as being a spy. For the KGB and CIA. What a combo. Under their influence, you and him enroll into the GRU under Volgin's command.
Volgin... that vile disgusting bastard. Even the mere thought of him makes you shudder.
Every time you had to deal with him left you pissed off to astronomical levels. Being one of the few women apart of Adam's personal squad (that he oh so was graciously granted) meant that you had to deal with Volgin, and his not so discreet comments towards you, every damn day. That you couldn't do anything about.
Boy, were you happy when you got out of there.
But it was at the cost of Ocelot's squad disbanding due to events in August 1964 that you'd rather not think about. After that, all contact that you had with him before vanished. For all you know he could've died, although you highly doubt it. Adam was one stubborn man. But if he was alive... why hadn't he contacted you in all these years? There had been no letters. No news. Nothing. It's so long since you've last seen him, and reluctantly you were forced to accept that he simply became another friend lost to time.
So then why did the man standing here a few feet away, remind you so much of him?
He continues to the teach the soliders, occasionally quipping here and there. His gray hair and scarf danced with the wind, his gloves putting one man into proper firing position. As he does, the red scarf wielding man reprimands a different solider. Taking his gun in the process. Apparently he was 'taking too much inspiration from Hollywood'.
"You will learn how a real solider fights. You will forget everything Hollywood taught you." His voice drops, "And if I catch you doing something else... you'll know it."
He steps closer to the solider, invading his personal space (another quirk that reminds you of your lost friend). Unimpressed, he gestures towards the solider's decked out gun.
"Engravings... give you no tactical advantage whatsoever." He sighs, but you see an awfully familiar smile pull at the man's lips. "That was some fancy shooting. Pretty good."
You lean against the wall, the touch slightly warming your body under the summer sun. Pretty good... Now where have you heard that before?
He flicks his hand, seemingly to call an end to the lesson. "You are dismissed. Until tomorrow." The rest of the soliders walk out. Some of them stare at your place by the wall.
When the red scarf wielding man finally turns to look at you, he stops. And you get to properly see his face for the first time. Strong nose and cheekbones. Wrinkles that trace around his eyes. A faint stubble. Hanging around his neck was the red scarf, perfectly matching his leather gloves.
That damn red scarf. You fixate on it. It looks so much like Adam's. Everything from the way it was presented—tight enough to be secure, but loose enough to not build up sweat—to it's exact color, a dull red that you've come to associate with memories of the past. Vibrant but dimmed out with age, never in reach.
It hits you then.
The reason why he reminds you so much of Adam, or Ocelot, or whatever damned name your brain switches between, is because he is him.
He is Major Ocelot. He is Adam. Your Adam.
And he was here, actually within reach.

Words couldn't even begin to describe how you were feeling right now. You could find time to put letters to feelings later. But right now, you have a lot of catching up to do. And a lot to say to the bastard.
Ocelot looks you up and down, taking in your form. "What brings you to Diamond Dogs?"
"I could ask the same about you."
"I'm an S-3. An Operations Officer."
"That doesn't answer my question."
Ocelot crosses his arms, and you see the beginnings of annoyance grow on his face. "I'm here for the same reason you are. To serve Big Boss."
"Knowing you, you're probably serving some higher up agenda while you're at it, too."
"Not this time." He says smoothly.
Really? As if. "Sure." Sarcasm oozes through your voice. You know better.
Ocelot sighs, shifting his focus to the ground. "No need for the snark."
"Where have you been for the past two decades?" You struggle to keep your voice level.
"I've been..." He pauses, making eye contact with you again before turning his head away. That look on his face, it was rare. Was he... ashamed? "...busy."
"Busy." You repeat in disbelief. "You're going to need a better excuse than that. You practically cut all contact off with me! For years I wondered where you were!"
Waves crashing upon the base could be heard in the distance, oblivious to the growing arguement festering between reunited friends. Ocelot is quiet. Hints of a silent battle he's fighting seen in his eyes. Just what lay behind them? Part of you wants to believe it's shame. Shame for leaving you behind, without even a proper goodbye, when he knew he was one of your closest friends. Shame for never figuring out the deal between you two—because oh, you were no fool. Friends didn't act the way you did with each other. However, there was never a conversation about it. Never a point where you either of you asked the big question.
How do you really feel about me?
You speak up, your voice softer, but still holding years of turmoil. "...Well? What's the excuse?"
"I didn't want you caught up in my business. It was too dangerous." He tightens his grip on his sleeves.
"Too dangerous, huh?" You swallow, "Did you think I'm not capable? That I couldn't have handled it like everything else that came before?"
Ocelot clenches his jaw. "No. Not like that. You're extremely capable. Capable of way more things than what the battlefield provides."
The sudden praise makes you stop in your tracks, but he continues anyway, "But if you came with me and got wrapped up in my mess... I couldn't have forgiven myself. You were bound to get hurt, and you deserve better than that."
He turns his head, facing you properly. There was a certain gleam in his eyes, and words begin to spill out his mouth, seemingly out of control.
"And I was the reason why you led down the path you did. It was safer for you if you were away from me." Ocelot purses his lips. "You think it didn't hurt me too? Staying away from you like that?"
At a loss for words, you stare at him with your mouth agape. Any previous feelings of anger or resentment slowly sizzle away as he speaks. You were still hurt, gosh you were, but when he lays himself out like this? Arguably the most vulnerable he's ever been with you?
"You could have told me..." You whisper.
"It would have defeated the purpose." He frowns, and murmurs (moreso to himself than anyone else) "I care about you too much..."
You hum, a small sad smile pulling at your lips. "Looks like you've matured after all this time, huh?"
Adam huffs, "Guess I have." He smiles slightly too.
His previous words linger in your mind. I care about you too much. But was it the same way? Maybe it was finally time to figure out.
Glancing down, you murmur, "You care about me?"
"Of course I do."
You lock eyes with him again. A fire in your eyes that refuses to extinguish. "You know what I mean."
Adam sucks in a breath, regarding you with a very intense look. He notices that look, and the grip on his sleeves loosen. Many beats of silence pass. Suddenly, worry strikes in your heart. Damn it. You messed up. Why did you have to say that? Of course he didn't see you that way! You should have just been happy with seeing him again! Shit, why did you-
"I've always cared about you that way."
Relief washes over you, like waves on a shore. You can't help the grin that plasters over your face.
"About time you said it."

Hal felt so so guilty about it. Logically it was wrong. Emotionally he couldn't let you go
Regardless, when Otacon crushes, he crushes HARD, and he's ridiculously obvious about it (even if he thinks he's not)
Always hovering around you, asking about you, finding any excuse to be near you... If he's not working on Metal Gear Rex, then you better believe he'll show up out of nowhere right by your side
Not subtle at ALL. It gets to the point where even your comrades start pointing it out to you
"I swear that man is stuck to you like a magnet" Liquid would constantly comment, "Don't let it get in the way of his work!"
You're the ONLY one he yammers his interests to (or just talks comfortably with in general). It was cute, seeing him get so excited about the geeky stuff he was into. Hal cherishes those moments and keeps them close to his heart
Constantly dreams of you when he falls asleep. Days where he's sitting at his desk, too tired to get up, his eyes close under the hope that you'll appear in his mind once again

Due to this, most days he's VERY busy. He's got a Mafia to run for goodness sake!
And yet, he manages to make time for you. Quite a lot of time actually. Enough time in fact that he's taking you to all these fancy places, packed with beautiful scenery, under the guise that it's to "give you a break from the work"
But, as everyone else quickly notices, he's doing this only with YOU. The favoritism is clear as day
Gift giver by heart. Giorno uses his stand to make bouquets of flowers for you, gifts for when you accomplish a particularly hard mission
Giorno doesn't realize he's got a crush until Mista points out how suspicious his behavior is. That's when Giorno finally sits down with himself and reflect on how he's been treating you
Feels guilty about it. Here he is, top of the world due to Passione, and he's acting like a silly teenage boy in love. Not to mention that you were his subordinate, which was a whole nother issue
Giorno didn't get crushes easily, he's actually not had much romantic experience in general, which is why it took him so long to realize what his true feelings were
However, Giorno doesn't necessarily change anything. He still treats you the same. He can't bring himself to do otherwise
"I only get off my bike when I fall in love... or fall dead"

Here, he was able to spend time with his lover. Whenever he wanted to, as much as he wanted to
Loves to take care of you, but greatly appreciates when you return the favor
As years pass, Abbachio also opens up more and more (gradually, but it does come)
There is a lot of baggage from past. So when you're still willing to listen to him, and help him through it, even if he should be 'over it' by now, he knows he's found the one
Doesn't care about his changing appearance. To him, the wrinkles, sagging eyes, weaker body, it was all proof that he was able to survive, and make it out on the other end
Bruno
Similar to Abbachio, he didn't expect to live that long
Considering his job, Bruno was always prepared for every moment to be his last
So the possibility of being able to retire? With you by his side through thick and thin? It almost seemed impossible
Yet, it managed to happen. And he couldn't have been more overjoyed
Bruno was able to live a life with you that he hadn't allowed himself to even dream of
Expect precious moments with him. Despite years going on, Bruno will be as dotting and affectionate as he was when you two were young
Again, worrying about his appearance isn't a big factor. However, what he IS worried about, is dying before you
Bruno doesn't want to leave you behind... he knows it's perhaps unreasonable to think this way, but he can't help it
So from time to time, he will need reassurance in that department

At first, the idea of getting old, with a more fragile body, wasn't very appealing. That all changed when you came along
Suddenly, Ermes starts talking of how you two will be, ten, twenty, thirty years from now
Some of her predictions were right. Others not so much
Doing domestic tasks with one another everyday? Oh yeah sure! Of course! Beating the shit out of anyone who pissed you off? Maybe not...
Ermes will often have special days where you decide to go out to wherever you want! She pays for everything, and it's her way of showing up for you, even as you guys grow old
Death isn't something she's very worried about. She's very aware that the older she gets, the more likely the grim reaper will come knocking on her door
But frankly she doesn't care. Because she was able to spend all this time with you, and that's enough for Ermes
Jolyne
Thinking THAT far into the future wasn't something Joylne did alot
It was a bit troublesome to think about... especially with all the pressures that society puts on you as you get older
Kids, marriage, living together everyday with your partner for decades, all that crap. Jolyne just couldn't see herself doing any of it
When you became her partner though, she started questioning it a little more. Maybe it wasn't so bad as she originally thought (however, and she made this clear, she would still prefer NOT to have kids)
One of her favorite things to do with you as you guys get old, is to exercise! She takes her health very seriously, especially when it comes to her physique
Very proud of her muscles, even as they slightly go away with age. Appearance is also something she finds pretty superficial, BUT there are times she might get a bit insecure about her growing wrinkle or sagging skin
But at the end of the day, Jolyne realizes she's happy to age. After all, seeing you grow, both physically and mentally, was a sacred sight to behold
Caesar
Growing old is something Caesar thinks about OFTEN. Maybe too much for his own good
Dreams of doing it the traditional way, settling down with a lovely partner, starting a family, getting to see the kids grow alongside him etc
Starting a family is actually one of his major goals. So when Caesar starts getting steady with you, he makes sure you two are on the same page
If you think that as the years go by, Caesar loses his very over the top romantic side, you are very WRONG. In fact, he probably only gets worse
Sure, maybe he doesn't do ALL the things he used to do when he was younger, but his unyielding passion for you (and everything really) is still very much there
Loves taking you out on dates. In Caesar's mind there is no expiration for it. Not just to be sweet and spend time with you, but to also show his kids what a loving relationship (in his eyes) is
As a father, he definitely tries his best. He wants to set a good example for his kids. But he doesn't let them get in the way of his love for you
Admittedly, seeing the gray hairs, wrinkles, and aches in his body spread like a virus as he ages, worries him. Caesar LIKED how he looked. Can't a man be a bit superficial here and there?
But, he doesn't let it bother him too too much. After awhile, he actually grows into it
And he believes, if you can look as striking as you do at your age, then why can't he too?
I would love for you to start writing for FF7 too!!! Especially for Vincent and Cid!!

I will say tho, even tho im nearly done with FF7 (og), I think imma only write for it here and there 😓 I'll explain why in a sec
JJBA n MGS are pretty big franchises to write for already, with quite a lot of characters and plot to keep up with. I only started writing for them since;
1) i was already in the fandoms for a few months before, which meant i had more general knowledge to work with and not mess anything up
2) I am like, OBSESSED to an unhealthy degree with both
But with FF7, as much as im enjoying it, its not on the same fixation level as the other two i mentioned 😭😭 And also im still VERY new and fresh on its lore, characters etc, so i don't feel as confident writing for it
HOWEVER. If i do end up accepting reqs for FF7 in the future, I will probably only allow certain ones (like Cid, Vincent, maybe some others like Barret n Sepiroth, Rufus...), just cuz like, since it's something i feel less of a will to write for OUTSIDE of those specific characters.
i wanna prioritize JJBA n MGS for the most part, but I definitely dont mind occasionally writing for FF7 as well 🙏
