hey weird question. I read The Twilight Effect and I really liked it. I read a lot of fanfic but it was my first MLP fic. Having trouble finding good stuff on the site, so do you have any recommendations of good Twilight/Sunset fics with a similar vibe as that one?

(this is probably going to be meaningless to you, but my favourite fics are Waiting for Tuesday by vanilla_pips, Oasis by pigeonstation, A Knight and Her Lady by Onhirel, Home by BimeyMooMimey, and Diary of a Lesbian Spider by ImNotAMarySue. Gotta love those fictional lesbians)

i think Long Road to Friendship by Albi in that list is the most formative sciset longfic to me; Fractured Sunlight by Oroboro also comes to mind. and there are a ton of shorter stories / oneshots i like too. if ur having trouble filtering on that site, try using this search query for twiset fics (or, older fics w scitwi before they added the scitwi tag), and this search query for sciset

Can i say something problematique for terminally online millenials and people born after that point: I think the seeming lack of ability or willingness to call one another and chat on the phone with friends unprompted or out of the blue contributes to whatever hellish loneliness everyone is talking about feeling these days. Say what you want about boomers and old people but those guys mostly knew how to keep in touch with each other. Idk man call a bitch today
