Patch’s eulogy

me and @u-n-l-i-g-h-t thought of this little idea where the scarpatch fam grew very close with lonely rick, and spent time with him up to the remainder of his days. Patch was the very first shoulder he leaned on, up until his last.

So here, have his eulogy to Lonely’s passing.

I want to be completely serious for a moment. I draw sad and angst art all the time, so not a lot of art can make me cry, but this made me bawl. This is such a beautiful tribute to the beautiful ideas that we’ve created together. I’m actually tearing up again while writing this because I’m so overcome with emotion right now. Right, I’m sorry I’ll stop being so sappy now. Lonely Rick is not alone anymore, he’s found company in the open arms of Patch, Scar and Bucky. Lonely is much older than a regular Rick, he’s about 75-80 and we imagine that their friendship is full, but short lived as he passes in Patch’s arms at the age of 85.

The Scarpatch family made him feel at peace in the last few years of his life, so he didn’t pass in any pain. He went in peace and love, and with the hope that he would meet his morty again on the other side.

Huh… Well, because I’m an absolute crazy person, there’s a lot to consider with this.

First off, let’s assume that when he portals into my room, he’s the cartoon version of Rick because, frankly, a real life human version doesn’t interest me. Why, you may ask? Because I have a cartoon fetish, apparently. Also, let’s assume that I’m not married, so I’m alone. Let us lastly assume that he’s alone; meaning, no Morty tag along. So, with all those assumptions in place — I’ll scream bloody murder, wonder if I’ve finally gone off the deep end, decide I don’t care and then ask him if he’s DTF. I suppose, then, the remainder of this hypothetical situation is up to Rick.
