Sequel to this. Jin Ling is kind of in a euini role and also kind of in an agott role in this au. Wei wuxian, naturally, is not very happy about this. Plus, Lan Sizhui once he has been recognized as both Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian’s apprentice.

it took me three days to work on this T_T
Witch hat atelier x mdzs au, featuring Wei wuxian, lan wangji, and their collective apprentices…knights moralis jiang cheng, and brim hat yiling patriarch…sometimes his resentful energy makes a brim appear on wwx’s hat even after his resurrection…
I've said it before but I'll say it again I refuse to believe anyone that likes turning themselves into the opposite gender as much as Naruto does is anything close to cis I cant prove it but I know in my heart that lad is gender fluid
I often see future HCs where Coco has her own atelier with Agott as her watchful eye
And don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore that idea, but something about Agott being the one teaching kids while Coco's the watchful eye tickles a spot in my brain just a teeny tiny bit more.
Agott passes the 5th test and decides that she'd like to take on 'problematic' kids similarly to how Qifrey did and Coco immediately becomes her watchful eye because she's a bit worried about Agott pushing the kids too hard since that's how Agott would've wanted to be treated as an apprentice.
Or another thing Coco could be worried about is whether Agott is ready to be fully committed to abandoning the path to becoming a librarian. Similarly to how Olruggio worries whether Qifrey would choose his apprentices over tracking down the brimcaps. Parallels and all that.
you were almost turned into a vampire, but before you could be fully turned, the vampire was staked. This left you with a vampire weakness, while still being human.
Spin the wheel to find out your weakness!
How much does this effect you?
Nothing changes
It's inconvenient but I can deal with jty
It will be hard to adjust but I'll figure it out
I don't know if I'll be able to live like this
Maybe I can find another vampire to finish the turning?
I might just kill myself

thanks @theemmjay for submitting this poll idea!! Seriously it's such a cool concept I love it so much
The fact that children never return in Black Flag until Syndicate comes along, where Jacob and Evie started rescuing kids proves this even further….Connor you are a blessing.
TV Tropes have some interesting stuff for the AC series in general, check it out here!
[Why are there no children in the crowded cities of Jerusalem, Rome, or Istanbul? Because Altair and Ezio didn’t remember them. One of the tenants of the creed is not to harm the innocent, and children are innocent. Therefore the Assassins don’t perceive them as a threat and ignore them. Because of that, children don’t enter their long term memory and are not seen by the Animus. The only child that was shown was Ezio’s little brother, and he was seen because he was important to him. (text bolded) And in Connor’s game, children appear-because Connor is a caring Friend to All Living Things. Sure, the orphans are annoying to the player, but Connor who deeply cares about human injustice and suffering would have noticed them and remembered them, and therefore so does the Animus.(end bolding)]
final girl claudia auditore.......... she loses almost her entire family and the life she was supposed to lead and loses her home twice and the trauma and horror of all of this changes her from a precocious naive spoilt teenage girl to a hardened bloodied venomous grown woman who kills without hesitation and is entirely alienated from the polite genteel world she once knew
ac brotherhood going "look at rome, the borgias made it awful!" as if that city wasn't a fucking nightmare shithole for hundreds of years straight
OH IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED @kingohats
for me it’s more of the general vibe that rome gave off, rather than specific instances? also, to be clear, im talking about renaissance-era rome specifically. a short list of vibe-contributing factors, in no particular order:
rome was, objectively, the worst fucking place to build a city. in warmer months it was hot and humid and swampy. as a result, malaria + other diseases were absolutely fucking rampant. also, you know how modern day photos of the tiber river feature “anti-flood” architecture like walls and stone? those weren’t built until the 1800s!!! during the renaissance the river would frequently flood and destroy buildings + kill people, since big parts of the city were built on flood planes, because. idk. hubris?
renaissance rome was also weird because very few inhabitants were actually FROM rome. because a big part - arguably the MAIN part - of the city’s industry was Christianity, most of the people there were religious officials, or diplomats, or misc papal employees, or relatives of those groups etc. the patriotism most of these people felt for rome was fucking negligible, so when, say, a massive enemy army is marching on rome circa 1527, the people who CAN pay the massive army to go away DON’T. which is how you get one of the contributing factors for the 1527 sack of rome. 😔
side note: from the late 1400s to early 1500s, the sex industry in the city was MASSIVE. like, huge!!! there are varying accounts of how many people were a part of it, but roman sex workers absolutely benefited from all the visitors/tourists/etc to the city. i also want to be clear that i’m not including this as a negative aspect of renaissance rome. i actually think that the general vibe the city had as a result of the booming sex industry is just sooo interesting and fun to read about, especially contemporary rumors that’d spread about, like, scandalous orgies with members of the papal curia. speaking of which -
the city’s gossip mill was fucking bonkers off the charts. we know about a lot of the contemporary gossip from 1) local chroniclers and 2) letters that upper class visitors would write home to their friends/family or employers. b/c rome was the Center of Christendom™️, lots of distant rulers would pay big bucks for news about wtf was going on there. as a result you get professional letters that randomly go “by the way, people are saying so-and-so made a deal with the devil and fornicates with his niece” and you, the reader, are like “hey wait, what the fuck?” A lot of the most famous borgia rumors straight up came from just like, daily street gossip, which Some Historians then chose to believe as the gospel fucking truth. when i get my hands on them, i tell you…
hey have i mentioned the frequent bouts of violence the city would experience? because that’s definitely a big thing about living in rome! Which, okay, it’s not like the violence was constant. it’s not like the city was constantly a battlefield, or something. but it WAS known for being unpredictable, to the point where rich people would employ small “armies” of armed guards to protect their properties and escort them places. these guards were also super important at times where mass riots would break out. namely: EVERY SINGLE TIME THE POPE DIED AND THEY HAD TO ELECT A NEW ONE. 😭 the riots would generally stop right around when they HAD a new one, except for one last silly bout (namely b/c the romans wanted to keep the new pope on his toes).
rome also had a general eau de crime. which is to say, their crime rate was super fucking high. Oh my gosh, i tripped and this quote just fell out of my pocket, oops!
“Surveying the record books of the barber surgeons, required by law to report all wounds they treated, a historian has calculated that sixteenth-century Rome was far more dangerous than the cities of the United States today. Rome had ten serious woundings a day and about thirty-five homicides a year. Had it Rome’s per-capita rate, modern New York would see daily a thousand woundings and ten murders.” Cohen, Elizabeth S., and Thomas V. Cohen. Daily Life in Renaissance Italy, 2nd edition. ABC-CLIO, 2019 [x]
Last but not least: THERE WERE WAY TOO MANY BODIES IN THE TIBER RIVER. did you kill someone and need to hide the evidence? chuck that body in the river!!!! prime example being pope formosus, the pope whose corpse they 1) exhumed to put on trial and then 2) flung into the tiber river when it/he was found guilty.
my personal fave example though is actually Juan Borgia, the son of Rodrigo Borgia/Pope Alexander VI (or as i call him, borgia pope 2: electric boogaloo). long story short, juan was killed + his body was flung into the river. when a witness to the disposal came forward, people were briefly mad at him for not telling the police that he’d just saw someone dispose of a dead body. to which the witness was like, “hello? if i went to the police every time i saw someone toss a body in the tiber, i’d go to them every fucking night.” 💀

Okay so rule number 1 about Jetko is the inherent comedy of it all and then rule number 2 is the soul crushing tragic agony of it all
Can you imagine how different the Jet in Ba Sing Se plot would be if Jet, when realising Iroh is a firebender traveling with Zuko, who’s an obviously traumatised teenager with a giant burn mark, assumed Iroh was the one to burn him ??
Like think about it, it would give even more reason why Jet was so obsessed, even when he’s trying to get a fresh start (Ik canon Jet has his reasons too but I think Smellerbee and Longshot would be more willing to help Jet if they think Iroh is actually hurting someone)
what you learn from hobbies:
consistent practice opens up whole worlds of skill that you couldn't imagine
making mistakes in the process of learning is not only natural, it is also essential
activities that you enjoy can give you more energy back than you spent on them
wow everything is so expensive
my hands hurt
my back hurts
I thought I could count but apparently I can't.
If you pick a niche enough hobby, in a year or two you could easily become THE world expert on the thing through the sheer fact that there's only like 20 other people in the world doing the thing and barely any of them are sharing their work on the internet

Mafia boss smoking a cigar: Why’d you gotta squeal, Squealin’ Stephen? I trusted you. Now I gotta send my best goons to show you what happens when you cross the Big Boss…
Guy tied up in chair: uh…theres just one guy over there.
Mafia boss: Yeah. That’s Lil’ Tony. He’s got one of dem conditions where he’s got multiple mooks n’ his head. But when Big Tony fronts you’re gonna be in big trouble.
Lil’ Tony: We actually all agree we’re gonna kick your ass.
it's not frequent enough to be considered a meme or a trend, but I like how every so often this site gets a new "woke mafia boss" variation.
