No. Anytime you speak up for women and don’t prioritise men’s thoughts or feelings, there will be men who accuse you of hatred. Simply for failing to make their feelings your priority.

It doesn’t require “extremism” to get this response.

And most of the people antifeminists accuse of “extremism” are literally just venting about the constant offensive trauma that is misogyny - without framing their rant in a way that coddles men’s feelings.

Sorting us into “good feminists” and “extreme/bad feminists/misandrists” is another tool to silence women who don’t prioritise men’s feelings.

I don’t usually post personal stuff or my opinion about stuff, I mainly post about fandoms ans my likes but i’m sick of a lot of bullshit. All that “second class citizens” that the media are helping spread is really toxic. They saturate us with images of what they fucking want and ignore what they aren’t interested in (is it racism, political or economical interest...?). Any mainstream media covered neither the attacks to Beirut or Bagdad. That’s how people don’t care. How can you care about something that you don’t even know it’s happening? It’s sick that the media has all that power, to allow us be first, second or even third class citizens of this world.

I’m sensitive to the tragedy that occurred in Paris and hope for the safety of the Parisians trapped in the nightmare. I also believe that the solidarity the world is showing with France is phenomenal. However, I am wary that this massive and unified support is only afforded to specific populations while others who face similar events more frequently or directly are ignored or reduced to a single-sentence headline floating across the bottom of the screen. I am wary that comparatively and realistically, global solidarity with France inadvertently asserts the idea that French (and by extension, Euro-American lives) matter /more./ I’m wary that the terrorist attacks in Beirut have been superseded by parallel attacks in Paris and that the amount of empathy and concern showed to one over the other has everything to do with geopolitics. I’m wary that this, in fact, happens everyday in other parts of the world such as Syria, Palestine, Somalia, and Nigeria, but societies at large just don’t care for it as they would if the countries involved were European or North American instead.

I tried to explain this concerns to many people but replied that it’s logical that they cared more about the French cause they are our “neighbours” and they are more “similar” to us. So does that mean to them that whites should only care about whites? I think that these points of view (it’s amazing how extended this opinion is) are really selfish, messed up and also a bit racist.
