I woke up this morning and my first thought was the realization that Daisy saw Lincoln die.

She’s actually the only team member who had to see it. Because of the vision. They all saw the ship over the screen but they couldn’t see inside the ship. But Daisy did. She heard his last words to her over the comms long after seeing it happen. She had that visual in her head with no idea who it was and she told Lincoln, who had no idea that was the last moment of his own life. On top of his death and heartbreaking final words to her, she SAW IT and with his death, that vision took on a much worse meaning than it already did. Because it was him.

gonna aos positivity post for once and say i genuinely love the way they portray romantic relationships. philinda is present all the way back in s1 but may still has that space and love for andrew and thats okay. lincoln is, factually, daisys soulmate and they don't rush her into another ship but they let her establish romantic connections until shes ready to try again with daniel. literally the only characters who never venture outside of their ship are fitzsimmons and thats only if you don't have the eyes to see fitzskimmons is real. kinda peak writing of them idk.

my unpopular opinion is that if you forgave mira and zoey for pointing their weapons at rumi during a vulnerable moment (that directly contributed to her wanting to die) because you understand they were confused and scared and trained to kill demons, then you should have no problem with people choosing to forgive jinu for betraying rumi at the idol awards when he’s been mentally enslaved for 400 years. sorry, your moral reasoning is inconsistent at best and hypocritical at worst. ESPECIALLY when by the end rumi herself forgave mira, zoey, AND still wanted to save jinu despite himself.

“but but but jinu got innocent people killed!111!” I’m not excusing his actions, i’m saying there’s context the narrative asks us to understand and contextualize. you can feel how you feel and still acknowledge when someone is acting under long-term control, but so many of you just plug your ears and go “la la la jinu bad!” and call it a day.

and mind you the girls weren’t exempt from gwi-ma’s torture either. one whisper and mira was snapping at and abandoning zoey. one whisper and zoey was compelled to give up. so what do you think 400 years of the same does to a person? oh ok.

My friend recently finished AoS and restarted it because of how much I love and talk about (he stopped right after Daisy got her powers). He said something about the end that really stuck it me. He knows I’m a diehard Staticquake fan but I told him to keep an open mind on all ships. He liked Robbie and Daisy and was a little sad when they did get together because of their chemistry. I once mentioned that I wasn’t a fan of Daniel Sousa in the show and tried not to say too much about their relationship so he could form his own opinion. When he finished and I asked for his thoughts he said ‘I can see why you don’t like them’ and he didn’t like them either. I asked why and his view and explanation wasn’t the fact the they weren’t just “rushed” but that Daisy was Sousa’s unintentional rebound for Peggy/Violet and Sousa was Daisy’s unintentional rebound for Lincoln. I had never heard such a thing and we both watched Agent Carter and I’ve read/seen every article and video or Mo, Jed, Chloe, and Enver talking about the characters and why the relationship etc. I’ve seen it all I swear, I’ve read it all, and completely agree with my friend. I had never thought about it before until he said that and now I can’t unsee/unhear it. If you don’t agree that’s fine, I will not explain further, I will not allow bullying or hate in my comments, this is an OPINION that I’m sharing because I thought it was different and I have never thought or heard anyone else say it.

Oh yay the Dousy was “rushed” argument has come back alive again. Maybe it never died, I don’t know.

If someone could explain to me how exactly they’re rushed (and what is wrong with that even if they were) I’d be grateful. Because they met, they kissed (however long after they met) and then one year later (yes ONE FUCKING YEAR LATER) they’re together.

As if people irl don’t sometimes kiss within hours of meeting each other.

Yes that one year later happened off screen, but pretty sure some Staticquake stuff happened off screen too? Like, I haven’t watched S3 in a while, but weren’t they just suddenly together near the start of that season?

Personally for me and I’m saying this as someone who used to love Dousy and still loves Staticquake. I think the its rush argument is valid for BOTH ships. Dousy was just a little more but I totally understand they didn’t have a lot of time Sousa was in 10 episodes. I just felt like the ship wasn’t fully developed/necessary. I know it always seems like I’m attacking people when I share my side it’s just I feel like a lot of Dousy shippers are very passionate and prideful of this ship that when people have a different opinion they always hit back with everything they have and ever argument. Like people are allowed to just not like something. I don’t really care if you don’t like Lincoln or Staticquake but I feel like Dousy fan alway need a reason for someone not liking Dousy.

unpopular opinion: staticquake would not have ended up together even if Lincoln was still alive. i love them, i love daisy, i love lincoln, they were adorable and i sobbed when he died, but every time i rewatch the show i see exactly why they killed off his character because even if he was alive, they would have written him out because he just wasn’t a good match for Daisy. two people can be good people and still not be good for each other and it’s simple as that. the relationship would have ended with pain either way, and while it would’ve been a lot less pain if he hadn’t had died, they still couldn’t have made it work no matter how much we all wish it would’ve

I think that’s why he wanted to take a break to work on themselves. I think they definitely would have been separated for a lot of season 4 but I hope they would find there way back to each other and he would help her work through her powers again in season 5!

the thing about agents of shield that's so important is that it's all about hope

you can change the timeline and you can talk people down from the edge and you can save lives and you make a difference

it's literally all about "becoming part of something bigger"

aos is all about showing us that there is always hope

it's never too late for a ragtag team or even just one person to try their hardest

and it won't always work out but the important thing is that you always have to try

and i just think that's beautiful

the thing is, marvel DID write the story where the team fights superpowered threats and they're all friends and they have insanely good chemistry and have a found family where they cover each other's weaknesses and have great interpersonal drama that's remembered between installations. it's called the early seasons of agents of shield and if you were ever invested in the potential of stage 1 of the mcu + ca:tws you should watch it
