My name is Evette and I am a conceptual costumer, makeup artist, model and sometimes a photographer! I am currently a student of Physics and Computer Science at Haverford College but I spend my free time painting, welding, and playing dress-up. I strive to create thing that lie in the space between art and technology. Additionally, I act, dance, sing, and can speak a bit of Chinese. I love making new friends and talking to people about fabrication and politics (sorry). Please don't be shy!

My wig is @ardawigs matilda in white that I gradient dyed with Dye More Rit dye! #ardawigs (swipe for process! 👉👉) I seperated each later and then tied them off with a hair tie then clipped them to a hanger so that the tips can stay above the water! Then I spent an hour moving my arms up and down. 😭💙 👗The skirt is pex pipe covered with fabric and painted. 🐟🐠The fish are 3D printed with transparent PLA that I hand painted! They are hollow and I put LEDs inside them! 🚨But I didnt finish them in time for katsu. :( #katsucrunch fails 🥿👞Boots are covered in REAL rocks. They weren't quite as heavy as you would think! (But I do have some bruises :( )

My fish halo is a heat formed acrylic strip glued to a headband under the wig.

I'm not great at sketching. But every costume I do starts with a silly sketch. In my head it was so clear! And the final product looks nothing like I wanted it to. But now, looking back, that's just how art works. You think it will be clear path from A to B. But you end up getting lost and then somehow finding C. And that's totally fine! It's a journey. Find pleasure in the process or it will become work. Stained glass original concept.

This is my #MarieAntoinette cake concept dress from #Katsucon . ♥️ The wig is @ardawigs Matilda (I think?) In victory blonde I believe. I powdered it with Batiste dry shampoo, recurled it, added some lighter wefts in, stuffed some hairnets full of extra wefts, (check last photos for WIP) and even used some of my real hair which is silver to create a better look. 🍰The desert tray is one I bought and spliced into pieces and glued it back together to make it smaller. I actually cut each tier into 4ths, cut off a centimeter of the middle and glued them back together. Also shortened the spacers between them. 🥯The macaroons I filled with caulking and painted. 👗The dress was pex pipe and ribbon for the frame, the decorations are silicone molds I filled with hot glue and painted and dusted with gold leaf.

The fork is cut PVC with a 3D printed strawberry! And resin cast filigree
