Living Failures - Bloodborne by evs-eme

Living Failures, they are failed experiments of the Healing Church before to create to the Celestial Emissaries, they are one of the bosses that appear in Bloodborne’s DLC: The Old Hunters.  Which is one of the battle that I like least about gameplay, but it is still a good battle, especially for that great soundtrack and that stage surrounded by wilted sunflowers that makes it epic, but even when it reaches its second Battle phase raise their arms towards the sky in their “altar of withered sunflowers” It gets dark all around me and I look at the sky, the first stupid thing I said is its moment was … GODDAMN Genkidama!!! Because of that and that great sountrack that is my Bloodborne DLC favorite: The Old Hunters was my great inspiration of this illustration (even though the DLC music is excellent and I like them all the same)

Elden Ring Nightreign - All Classes Part 3

The DLC for Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows, is coming soon, bringing two new classes:

the Scholar and the Undertaker.

This is a quick drawing done with markers, just like the previous ones I did of the game's classes.

I hope to play Nightreign someday, but I don't have the time, which is why you don't see many of my fan art posts.

INKTOBER 31 - The Endings, Bloodborne

Bloodborne has three endings, each distinct and open to different or even strange interpretations, and each with its own requirements to achieve. These are:

"Yharnam Sunrise"

"Honoring Wishes"

"Childhood's Beginning"

These are the endings, and they are entirely open to interpretation, so I won't go into detail.

The important thing is that I've finished the Bloodborne Inktober 2025 challenge. I've been doing the Inktober challenge for 10 years, and what better way to dedicate it than to the game that introduced me to the Souls series: Bloodborne.

I want to thank everyone who liked and shared my Inktober with others. Thank you very much, and I'll see you for the next fan art (that will be in the future; now I'm going to rest).

INKTOBER 30 - Moon Presence, Blooborne

One of the Great Ones in Bloodborne, the Moon Presence controls and manipulates everything within the Hunter's Dream. She also conspires to trick you, the Hunter, into defeating the other Great Ones in Yharnam, clearing the way for her.

To unlock the third ending and face this boss, you must collect three-thirds of the umbilical cords before defeating Gehrman. In my opinion, the final battle against the Moon Presence is truly disappointing for a "final boss," especially compared to the epic battle against Gehrman the First Hunter.

INKTOBER 29 - Gehrman the First Hunter, Bloodborne

"Tonight, Gehrman joins the Hunt"

I had already planned to draw this boss for Inktober a while ago. Gehrman, the First Hunter, is exactly what a good final battle for a game should be: a challenging fight in every sense. You have to be very attentive to Gehrman's attacks, knowing when to attack, heal, and the exact moment to parry him. It makes it very clear that he's the First Hunter, especially with that amazing soundtrack that accompanies the battle. It really helps you understand Gehrman's tragedy in the Hunter's Dream and his sad past, but it's still epic.

The battle against this boss is great, but then you remember that to get a third ending, you have to face Moon Presence afterward… and that's it. It's better to just stick with the excellent Gehrman battle.

INKTOBER 28 - The Old Hunters, Bloodborne

"Curse the fiends, their children too... Their children, forever true."

One of my favorite FromSoftware DLCs is Bloodborne: The Old Hunters.

Personally, I loved this expansion for the game, delving into Yharnam's past and uncovering the darkest and most gruesome secrets of Byrgenwerth, in another plane of a nightmarish setting where hunters are cursed into their own personal hell.

INKTOBER 27 - Nightmare of Mensis, Bloodborne

The last area of ​​Bloodborne before the final boss battles.

When Micolash and the School of Mensis sought an audience with Mergo, they probably never imagined the events that would unfold. The sacrifice of their own physical bodies was necessary to project their minds into the Nightmare Realm, but that sacrifice served their purpose and bore fruit.

I know some people don't like this area, but I did, except for a few details like the Frenzy, the Winter Lanterns, and the giant spider inside the building (if you have arachnophobia). But otherwise, I like it more than Nightmare Frontier, especially the exploration.

The battle against Mergo is good, the one against Micolash not so much (at least it gets a few laughs), however, both battles have a good soundtrack (in my opinion).

INKTOBER 26 - The Choir, Bloodborne

An optional area only accessible with a key found in a cell in Yahar'gul. The Choir is a division of the Healing Church that contacted Ebrietas, daughter of the Cosmo. Their location is an orphanage located in the Upper Cathedral Ward (above Oedon Chapel), where the same Choir members experimented on the orphans of Yharnam to contact the Great Ones. This area is difficult and terrifying due to its enemies, with the exception of the Celestial Emissary, which is one of the worst battles in the game. However, it is a good area, especially the battle against Ebrietas.

INKTOBER 25 - Forsaken Cainhurst Castle, Bloodborne

My favorite area in the entire Bloodborne base game, and with one of the best boss battles, The Martyr Logarius.

The Cainhurst Castle belonged to the Vilebloods (enemies of the Healing Church for their use of the Old Blood) and was ruled by Queen Annalise. It's now abandoned to time, covered in snow and ice, following the Executioners' incursion, who mercilessly massacred its inhabitants, leaving only the servants alive.

Master Logarius, leader of the Executioners (a fanatical branch of the Healing Church's hunters), after discovering that Queen Annalise of Cainhurst is immortal, decides to stay and takes it upon himself to protect it from anyone who would try to uncover it, using the Crown of Illusions to protect the place for eternity.

While this optional area isn't as large as other areas in the game, I truly love it.

INKTOBER 24 - Nightmare Frontier, Bloodborne

The slow poison and the boss in this optional area will be less of a problem compared to the enemies and the Frenzy in Nightmare Frontier.

I've mentioned in the past that Old Yharnam was one of my two least favorite areas to play, but Nightmare Frontier is, for me, the worst area in Bloodborne, aside from the creatures that came out of Satan's and Cthulhu's assholes combined. But the ones that really take the cake and will definitely end your patience are the Winter Lanterns. They have no power to eliminate you, and just seeing you will kill you from the Frenzy they inflict, and there are several of these types in this place.

So, prepare your sedative for the frenzy and antidotes because there are poison swamps with unstable frame rates (a From Software tradition) and the "Oh Shit!" section. As for the tragicomic situations of Inktober, I dedicate it to Nightmare Frontier, more than for the tragic things and the memes, it's because it really is a shitty area and to think that there are Chalice Dungeons much better than this place.

INKTOBER 23 - Yahar'gul Unseen Village, Bloodborne

After the truth is revealed after defeating Rom and the Blood Moon appears, you are transported to an abandoned church with the Lesser Amygdala inside. The door to Yahar'gul is now open, and you discover that the School of Mensis had contacts with the Amygdala and committed next-level atrocities committed by the people they kidnapped and the villagers of the same village.

Just remember when you are kidnapped and arrive at the Hypogean Gaol in Yahar'gul, there is a large door that doesn't open, and you hear loud banging coming from inside. The School of Mensis uses a blood ritual just as the Blood Moon appears to create their own Great One using the villagers, and you manage to transcend to contact Mergo. Both of these were a complete disaster, You only have to watch the boss The One Reborn to realize that they failed with their aberrant ritual.

INKTOBER 22 - Blood Moon, Bloodborne

The first time I saw this cinematic in the game, I was blown away, and to this day, it amazes me more than any boss or area in Bloodborne.

After defeating Rom the Vacuous Spider, who kept a veil over reality over Yharnam, this triggers an event as a woman dressed in white approaches, who begins to cry. At that moment, you also hear a baby crying in the distance. When you turn around, the moon changes color to a blood moon. This reveals the truth of illusion in Yharman: that the Great Ones have always been present in this reality and are beyond human understanding.

That blood and beasts are superficial, in the face of beings beyond human transcendence like the Great Ones, this unleashes madness upon Yharman and you begin to see things that weren't there before in the enemies and environments.

INKTOBER 21 - Byrgenwerth, Bloodborne

The ancient institution that began the study of human transcendence, the institution Alfred mentioned in one of his dialogues. Master Willem, the founder of the Byrgenwerth Scholars, had some differences with his scholars over the use of blood and knowledge, and because of this, some members of Byrgenwerth established the Healing Church with Laurence at its head, while Master Willem remained quietly by the lake, gazing at the moon in awe.

In that lake lies the boss Rom, the Vacuous Spider. The Byrgenwerth spider hides all kinds of rituals and conceals the truth about Yharnam and the veil of secrets that are beyond the eyes and knowledge of humans.

In addition, this area has enemies that came out of the abreactions of Satan and Cthulhu together, as well as a Choir Hunter, she is very difficult to defeat. This area is short, however there are other areas that Byrgenwerth that seem connected to the nightmare areas in the form of classrooms with other enemies that have very Lovecraftian academic uniforms.

INKTOBER 20 -  Shadow of Yharnam, Bloodborne

At the end of the Forbidden Woods before reaching Byrgenwerth, you'll encounter "The Secret Snake Club" (a reference to an episode of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, which is why I drew them in that pose).

The battle against these bosses is complicated, there are 3 Nazgul who summon snakes against the player, it was horrible having to dodge these 3 guys and I remember this, especially before the DLC update, since with The Old Hunter DLC they added NPCs from The League to summon them before the battle against the Shadows of Yharnam.

INKTOBER 19 - Valtr, Master of the League, Bloodborne

"Haven't you seen enough of these wretched beasts, freakish slugs, and mad doctors? Sentence these fiends to death, with the help of your League confederates!"

The best and coolest NPC the DLC added to Bloodborne. Valtr, the League Master, was once one of the foreign constables who pursued a beast to Yharnam. His colleagues fell victim to the beast's attacks, and Valtr was the only survivor. In revenge for his former comrades, Valtr devoured the beast whole, thus earning the name Valtr, Beast Eater. Despite this inhuman act, it opened his eyes and allowed him to see vermin, the source of man's corruption. He then founded The League, whose mission is to crush the vermin.

This character was added as part of The Old Hunter DLC update, along with the League Covenant. You can find him in the Windmill in the Forbidden Woods. He's the closest thing to Solaire from Dark Souls in the Bloodborne universe.

For me, Valtr and Eileen are my favorite hunters in Bloodborne.

INKTOBER 18 - Forbidden Woods, Bloodborne

After defeating Vicar Amelia, you can finally access the Forbidden Woods, where you can simply lose yourself in its labyrinthine areas amidst the night forest, windmills, and abandoned areas, filled with other evil aberrations, parasites, and many snakes that resemble the Plagas.

When I first saw that enemy whose head exploded and many snakes appeared, the first thing I said in my Chilean Spanish was: "¡Conchetumadre esa wea son las Plagas, Estoy en Resident Evil 4!"

Now that I think about it, this area reminds me a bit of RE4, and there are several enemies like that. It gets worse with the poison when you reach the area, almost near the boss.

INKTOBER 17 - Vicar Amelia, Bloodborne

"Remain wary of the frailty of men. Their wills are weak, minds young. Seek the old blood. Let us pray, let us wish to partake in communion. Let us partake in communion and feast upon the old blood. Our thirst for blood satiates us, soothes our fears. Seek the old blood."

Vicar Amelia is a high-ranking member of the Healing Church and the boss of Bloodborne.
