Your replies are on the way, Tumblr

Just wanted to let you know that we’re putting the finishing touches on replies, and making sure they play nicely with everything else on this platform.

“Why did they go away? Why, staff, whyyyy?” Fair question. We had a gaggle of overlapping message-like systems—namely, asks, fan mail, reblogging with commentary, question posts (rare!), and, yes, replies. When we finally introduced actual instant messaging a couple months ago, we had a lot of untangling to do.

In order to make all these systems work together, we had to do some back-end retooling, which meant taking down replies for a bit. For longer than we expected. Sorry about that.

And we get it—replies fill a very particular need (and you were very clear about expressing that need). They’re a kind of super like. A way to fully express your feelings about a thing without expecting anything in response. A gift.

When they come back, they’ll be even better. People will be able to reply to your posts multiple times, and you’ll even be able to reply to your own posts. Simple changes, yes, but ones that open up lots of possibilities.

Best of all, we’ve laid the down the engineering and design groundwork for even more substantial improvements down the road. Replies will be able to develop side-by-side with messaging.

More to come, soon enough. We know you all miss replies. We hope you enjoy their imminent return.

She wasn’t armed, but that was okay - if need be, she was a good runner, and she had some gizmo Tyra had thrown together on her person. Worst case scenario she pulled that out of her pocket and figured out what it did.

There had been reports of strange occurances over the past few weeks. Several bodies had been found, death seemingly caused by some savage animal attack-- throats had been ripped out, or else arteries located and torn. All were done by something with a vicious set of teeth, and the public had been warned, the news and police force determining that they were caused by wild dogs.

She knew better. She always had to fucking know better. And something had killed them, but certainly not a pack of wild dogs.

While yes, the killings could easily have been caused by a group of goblins, the markings and wounds were undoubtedly teeth marks and there were few ways to anger a goblin enough to kill you; there were far too many deaths for this to be any fae folk at all. 

No, these deaths were undoubtedly caused by vampires. Lovely. 

Now, about the girl.... Was she intentionally following the beast, or was she just obliviously stupid? Narrowed eyes studied her face, her expression, her posture. Yes, she decided. She knows what she’s after. Neri didn’t care, as long as long as she stayed the fuck out of her way.

ooc: Also, if you guys are interested-I have another blog, my FIRST blog, actually. He’s a dragon OC I created set in the real world, and very very simple description: He’s the last living of the first breed of dragons(in his respective universe) and sired some of the first lines. Essentially, he’s one of their “gods” if you could describe one. The basis is He’s a great spirit born of creation when our world was young, and he along with his siblings sired the first dragons-time faded, magic faded, and to his knowledge, his brethren were lost to time and his children extinct. Now, he seeks to collect what magic remains in the hopes that it may rise once again. set in a generalistic modern world.

I abandoned him a year or so ago, and vermithrax is my first attempt at rping since then! But now I see all these cool new peeps on the dash and you all are super friendly and cool with dragons I figured I might dip my feet into reviving him at some point!
