Roddybuns! I’d reply to this privately if I could but I just wanted to tell you that I had so much fun RPing with you. I used to wake up early every morning and stay up late just to catch you online. I just wanted to say thank you for being such an amazing partner and person overall. 

I won’t ask you to come back because I know you left for a reason. Just know that I’ll cherish the memories and I’ll be thinking of you now and again. 

I’ll miss you, my friend <3

Haha you’re asking the wrong person! It’s been a few months since I’ve been on.

I mean, I know they were thinking about leaving long before I disappeared so I don’t blame them. I wish I could leave them a message somehow, but without their Rodimus page I don’t know how to get a hold of them. Damn, I’m really gonna miss them……

Sorry I haven’t been on much, guys. As per usual, real life has been kicking my butt and keeping me busy. I actually have some free time today but my friend is coming over now so I won’t be on until later. Feel free to leave some asks or starters in my inbox!

Blue optics met Verity’s stomach and Ultra Magnus felt like a fool for not realizing before. 

Hundreds of other questions came to mind. Did they have the proper know-how and tools to deliver a human child? Was Verity going to take her baby back to Earth? His lips were pressed into a hard line as he tried to process this and figure out which questions he needed to start off with. 

“Are you alright? Is there anything that you need?” That seemed like a good place to start, at least. He hoped Verity couldn’t tell that he was panicking a little. 

【☆】⎡now came the feeling of self-consciousness. her arms folded over her stomach as if to conceal the slight baby bump. she’d known about this thing for about a month and a half now, and she was still coming to terms with the fact that she was having a kid. in space. already she was losing “mother-of-the-year” points, apparently. 

❝i don’t know,❞ she answered simply. ❝i don’t know much of anything about delivering except that it hurts like a bitch.❞ and that it was dangerous, but she’d keep that to herself. it was unlikely she’d need any surgeries, she figured, considering her own figure and how small the child seemed to be. 

❝really, all i need to know is whether or not you’ll allow me to have this child on the ship. if not, then i need to start making arrangements to depart.❞⎦

“Are you asking me if there are rules set in place to keep you from having your baby on the ship, or if I personally am against it? The answer to both of those would be ‘no’, you can have your child here. Namely because I don’t think it would be wise to travel great distances in your state. Seeing as we’re in space, everything is a great distance away from us. Another reason being I want to be there to make sure that you are okay.” 

It was more than that; Magnus needed Verity to be okay. They may have grown slightly distant in recent events, but the fact reamed that Verity was Magnus’ best friend. He couldn’t stand the thought of something happening to her, even moreso if he weren’t there to help protect her (although she may argue that she didn’t need protecting). 

“I will do some research on the matter. I’m sure it won’t be hard to dig up some examples of a human-child-delivery. I’ll talk to the medics on the ship and see if we can’t prepare appropriately.”

He almost asked her to repeat herself even though Ultra Magnus had heard what she said. He just didn’t understand. 

Magnus was familiar with the term; organic creatures all over the galaxy carried their young this way. Even a few Cybertronians could. What he didn’t understand was how. Well, he had a pretty good idea how this happened, but….how did this happen to Verity? 

He was silent for an alarmingly long time as he thought about the best way to approach the situation. 

“Who….did this?” He finally asked, though he was having some trouble articulating his jumbled thoughts. 

【☆】⎡the prolonged silence was uncomfortable. uncomfortable situations had a tendency to make verity bitter–––moreso than usual. it irked her enough to get her to look at magnus again, meet his optics. each painful second of awkward tension fueled her irritation; she would have shouted had magnus not said anything when he did. 

❝i did. does it matter?❞ that came out harsher than she meant. residual irritation. deep breaths. ❝i hit an all-time low on earth shortly before i left, got drunk and had a fling with some guy i met in a bar. doesn’t matter–––she’ll never meet him, and he’ll never know about her.❞ “her” being the baby––the very being that was currently pressing against verity’s spine, prompting her to place her hands on her back to try and relieve the pressure. 

❝i’ve only told first aid, and recently rodimus, but i figured you should know too. you three are the only ones so far.❞ she forced a half-hearted huff of amusement. ❝luckily, i’m not showing too much, but i’m…–––i’m due in about two weeks at the earliest….❞⎦
