I had just gotten my phone and I had seen those famous Tumblr reposts on Pinterest.

Pintrest was okay, but I wanted more social media. Reddit is a hell hole (in my experience), Instagram feels too fake and petty, Facebook is for old people, Twitter is also a hell hole (according to a bunch of other people), I already had YouTube, and I was afraid that Tik-tok would rot my attention span.

Needless to say, I promptly made a Tumblr account.
