Hello and Welcome

Pinning this post because I realize my blog is a mess, and what better time to clean up my tagging system that the new year, right?

Basically, this is just me reblogging anything I find interesting or funny. That is a extremely wide and varied net. The basic tag,s though, go as follows:

I have a system of tags, mostly for myself, that denote posts by the activity. These go as follows:

spicing up my "hobo living out of my car in a campsite meant to have an RV in it" by building a sink!

To accomplish this I bought a dish bin from walmart for like 3 bucks, poked a hole in it with my pocket knife, and ran a length of clear tubing ($4) through the hole into a gallon water jug with another hole poked in the lid.

To be really fancy, I used some silicone adhesive ($6) to glue the tube into the dish bucket to make it 100% water-tight. Then, you simply leave the top end of the hose long so you can tuck it over the edge of the dish bin while you are using it, and then just drop the hose into the water when you are done. Boom. Siphon.

To be fair the tag that says homeless is not quite correct, because I am living out of the back of my car. But also until last week I was doing that in the public parking in town and trying not to get the cops called on me so it's not exactly a luxury lifestyle. Now at least I have a site with available electricity where I can park every night, with an available shower/bathroom. Big step up.

I just got denied a customer service/retail position (aka basically a cashier) because the employer was looking for “someone with more sales experience”.

Like girl.

A) this is an entry level position so what the fuck, and

B) I’ve been working customer facing jobs for five years?? A custom shop is ALL ABOUT sales. I worked in a big box store for a year. I worked in a job which was all about “customer satisfaction” aka making sure the kids had a good time and none of the parents or teachers were gonna come after you for shit.

the job market is beyond fucked guys. this is ridiculous.

Ok look I understand why we're all putting pumps and faucets in our camper builds, but Like. Does it need to be that complicated. Just put a little hand pump on it? I understand why the siphon system would be difficult here because putting a bunch of water at the top of the camper is bad for center of gravity an such. But still. Break every single one of them up into companies based around a single product and then split those in thirds. Weaponize existing antitrust laws to the hilt and pass the most draconian versions of them ever seen on this planet. Nationalize google search specifically. Pass consumer privacy protections strict enough to kill the data harvesting industry for good. Make all of these fuckers go bankrupt for this rent-seeking shit
