"I want to pray more..."
“…but I don’t have the time.”
“…I don’t know how.”
1. Whenever you’re moved with pity for someone, pray for them. That old lady you saw at the grocery store who struggled to walk? The missing child on the poster you just saw? The kids looking for their lost dog? The man who looks kinda lonely on the bench? The boy with the ratty, dirty shoes? All those people around the world whose tragedies are trotted out for everyone to see?
2. Give thanks whenever you’re grateful. Got a series of green lights? A particularly excellent haircut? Is the sky the most stunning shade of blue? Saw a video of a soldier’s homecoming and had Feels? Spent an hour with a friend?
3. When you’re done speaking with someone, lift their unknown intentions up to the Lord.
You’ll find that you spend all day praying without trying.
Thanks emerald!
