I HAVE STRETCH MARKS 

someone I dated told me other people wouldn’t like my stretch marks, and that seed planted very deeply in my brain. I hated my body for years. It took a lot of self-acceptance and long sessions staring at my body in the mirror and saying, “WOW but this body is so beautiful, and it’s me!” It was slow progress, but it was progress.

Now I’m proud that my body took up more space. It had the ability to make itself bigger and adapt, so now I finally love my silvery lightning bolts.
