i re-outlined the back half of my fic and, well.
I loved chapter 4. Will we find out why Sid decided that now was the right time to pursue things with Geno?
the thing i love the most about writing is what information to keep from the reader and when and how that information is meant to be revealed. narrative tension is a delicious thing to work with in a fic and i'm so glad you're asking this question because the answer is [magical hand wave] all will be revealed
sid has a giggle
sid tickling geno on his way past :)
Just read chapter 4, amazing as always.
thank you so much for reading! so glad you enjoyed it ❤️
Re: ch 4
Omg ily thank you 😳
and when sid walks through the gate i was like holy shit this is every romcom moment when you’re least expecting it and your Love is There. they are walking towards you. To YOU. im having many many feelings
honestly i love to write romance and.... i did not intend to write that scene that way but sometimes writing takes a mind of its own.
i'm so glad you liked it!! thank you for reading ❤️
Whistle-stop
HRPF | Sid/Geno | 2025-26 season
It had been a long time since anything had happened between them. More than a decade. Zhenya sometimes thought about it when he was alone at night, but most of the time, he had the team, and he had Sid on the ice. For now. (The Pittsburgh Penguins are close to clinching a spot in the 2026 Stanley Cup playoffs. Zhenya is having a resurgence in the waning twilight of his career, and Sidney Crosby is having an existential crisis.)
Chapter 1/8
Chapter 2/8 is live.
Chapter 3/8(?) has been posted.
Chapter 4/8(?) is now live.

"Can you put your finger on why the team struggles with the shootout so much?"
"I don't know. Why you ask me? I'm not do it, next time maybe ask the coach. Maybe we need to practice little bit more..."

erik karlsson : strategy
“You write the beginning and then you go back and rewrite the beginning, and you never got off page one. It’s kind of a syndrome, and I have a rash piece of advice which is — Go on, page two, page three, and never look back. Get something finished, no matter how lousy it is. […] Perfectionists cannot get going unless they kind of do violence to their own instincts, and just blast ahead.”
— Ursula K. Le Guin, The Last Interview and Other Conversations
