ABOUT:

Hi l'm Christa. I medically transitioned from the ages of 14-17 and 'came out' at 10 years old. I medically transitioned under advice from a longtime therapist. I was a classic 'true trans' case and had top surgery at 16. I don't necessarily regret (most) of my physical changes, I just don't believe in gender ideology or want to be associated with being male anymore. I firmly believe that I don't need to look or sound a particular way to still be female, but perceive me however you will. I am autistic as well (no surprise there).

I am interested in alternative music; primarily goth, post-punk and industrial. History and historical art are also strong interests of mine. I create art across many digital and traditional disciplines. I tend to enjoy darker/gothic topics and themes within art & fiction.

I love interacting with women in general, but l unfortunately still feel somewhat of an outcast in most female spaces. I'm working on it though!

men believe in the concept of 'women's intuition' becuase they'd rather believe that women have an inherent connection with nature (much like that of an animal) than accept that women could be skilled at pattern recognition. first of all, they'd have to admit that women have a learned skill and human intelligence. and secondly, they'd have to admit that men display patterns of abuse that are able to be recognized + abusive men are not just a handful of uniquely deranged psychos

i do have a blatant double standard that favors trans men because it does actually mean something different when a member of an oppressed class takes extreme measures to try craft a life where they are not treated as subhuman, as opposed to a member of the oppressor class trying to claim they are and always have been "one of the oppressed" because they just feel like it. trans men are trying to survive in a world where surviving as a woman is honestly hell on earth. i'm not going to wag my finger at them for it.

there are ways to criticize the misogynistic abuse that ftms suffer and talk about the systems that create dysphoria and highlight the medical abuse and neglect ftms go through without patronizing them or straight up insulting them. that could easily have been you. it was me, at one point.

For so long I was so scared to consider detransition, because the only detrans women I had been exposed to were heterosexual and religious (and usually featured on some right-wing program). Seeing them speak about how ‘happy’ they were now that they had found refuge in ‘traditional femininity’ made me feel even more isolated and resolute in my transgender identity, as I could never in a million years force myself into a patriarchal role like that. You can only imagine how freeing it was seeing detrans butches for the first time.
