EMOTIONS / FEELINGS:
Nostalgia // Vanity // Guilt // Pride
GREETINGS;
To new people, Shiro displays a calm, yet confident air. He keeps his hands at his sides, or in various gestures to people he does not deem a threat, and an attentive, friendly expression.
For those he is familiar with, he is far more relaxed in posture but his hand gestures are usually more erratic. His smiles can sometimes turn into a smirk or two, and his charismatic aura remains, though those who know him know better than to believe it.
Those Shiro dislikes get a false polite smile with a gaze that verges on icy. His posture is stiff and his hands remain behind his back, to conceal them in case he is angry enough that they start to gain their dragon like characteristics. He almost looms without actually doing so, and his tone of voice is sarcastic and mocking.
COLORS;
SCENTS;
Usually, Shiro smells of whatever shampoo or soap he has used at the time, though his personal favorites are lavender and lilac, or the teas he loves to drink. However, there is always an underlying scent that is truly himself. A result of his personal brand of magic. This scent is a strange combination of ash and mountain snow.
CLOTHING;
A white, ankle length coat. Black trim along the sleeves, collar, and every outside edge. Later on, during the winter months, he adds a hood with black rabbit fur. He catches and eats the rabbits so they are not wasted, of course.
Usually varies between a simple black shirt or a turtleneck of the same solid color depending on the season, but it always remains under his coat. Black pants, as well.
Silver boots, usually with a metal sole so that his inhuman jumps don’t ruin the bottom of the shoes. Simplistic, yet elegantly made, and sturdy.
OBJECTS;
Being a wanderer, he doesn’t have many objects of worth. But there are at least a few items that are truly precious to him.
Coat - Made originally when he was much younger, Shiro has changed some of it’s style over the centuries, and sometimes had to remake it entirely. But this white coat, with black trim, has remained such a core part of his character that he can’t imagine himself without it. Right now it sits at ankle length, like a trenchcoat.
Ring - A simple silver ring. Arian picked it up from somewhere as a child that Shiro does not recall, and gave to him as a gift. He always wears it, especially now that his son is possibly dead. It’s something to hold on to, without giving himself a chance to grieve.
Scrap of Cloth - A piece of old, torn cloth that originally belonged to Arian's biological father and one of Shiro's closest friends. He kept a hold of it, usually in his pocket. He has since lost it, however, after his near death experience.
Wooden Carving - A simplistic, yet well made figurine of a dragon, carved with a knife out of wood. Ryota, Ryoku's father and another of Shiro's closest friends made it for him one day, telling him it was a reminder, but not of what. Shiro's kept it on his person ever since, and intends to one day return it.
VICES / BAD HABITS;
Hesitation - Though he outwardly displays a charismatic, calm and confident attitude, on the inside he constantly questions his own motives and whether what he is doing is for the right reasons. This makes him hesitate when it really matters most.
Arrogant - When he is the center of attention, Shiro loves to talk about himself. To the point where he may accidentally say something he should have kept a secret if you keep him going long enough.
Tapping - Having well-manicured, almost claw like nails can be a problem. He has a bad habit of tapping them on whatever surface he can find, whether it is his leg, a table or even a wall.
Show Off - Shiro has a flair for being slightly over dramatic at times. Whether it is making exaggerated hand gestures, using big words, or even being sarcastic in his body language when agitated.
BODY LANGUAGE;
When talking, Shiro makes various hand gestures and movements, such as twirling his wrist or twitching his fingers to gesturing at a person specifically. It varies, but it's always to exaggerate or get his point across. He usually has a smile or a smirk, and his posture is relaxed unless he is wary of you. Then he remains a bit tense, preferring to sit or stand stiffly.
When listening, Shiro goes from relaxed to attentive, especially if the conversation is interesting enough to him. He usually leans forward if sitting, or if he is standing, he will usually cross his arms, not as a show of aggression but to show that his hands are free of distraction. He also shows that he is thinking over what you're saying by tapping his nails lightly against the closest surface, though this is a habit more than anything.
When he walks, he often walks with an confident swaying gait, but relaxed, a cross between a strut and a saunter. His tail often sways in response to his movements when he is not hiding it.
When agitated, his expression is either blank or condescending, and he can become sarcastic in his body language. Remaining polite yet mean at the same time, such as giving the source of his agitation a mocking bow or smile. What always gives him away is the look in his eyes and the lashing of his tail.
Alone and completely free of his masks, Shiro's body language is completely relaxed, almost lazy. He will find the nearest tree, sit down and lean against it, and open a book. When in dragon form, he will sprawl out and sunbathe. However, when stressed his behavior can become the opposite. Tense, hunched posture, tail wrapped around his leg.
AESTHETICS;
The scent of tea, fresh from the stove or fire. Glittering jewelry he rarely wears but openly admires. The sight of the moon, full and bright on a star lit night, in the mountains, forest or reflected in a pool of water. And the crisp, cold mountain air and snow against his scales or skin, depending on which form he chooses.
SONGS;
Warriors - Imagine Dragons
War of Change - Thousand Foot Crutch
Lost Cause - Imagine Dragons
Icarus - Bastille
