important announcement !
itâs pretty much a done deal now. Iâm next in the wait list for a residential OCD treatment facility and will probably be admitted into the program next Wednesday. I have a lot to get done before then, and a long drive, and I donât know what my internet access will be like there.
so this is a formal announcement of hiatus for my blogs. I love you all and I expect to be back in a couple months or so. (and be much, much healthier!)
Iâm nervous, Iâm scared, Iâm excited, and I know this is what will be best for me. Iâm very lucky to have the chance to take part in this program.
while Iâm there, I do know I can receive mail, so if you would like the address and info, Iâll gladly give it to you once I know what it is. just shoot me a message and Iâll compile a list of who to inform.
thank you all for how understanding you have been. Iâll miss you guy, but Iâll see you on the other side of this very rickety and scary bridge I need to cross.
AndâŠ28 days until the Blue Screen of Death.
âąmessage me owed threads please for I am a fool and have lost them. âąsorry I haven't been here. other muses have demanded more attention and huey was perfectly happy to sit in the corner and pretend he didn't exist or murder anyone.

Hello! Could everyone please do me a favor and give this post a like/share if youâre a Metal Gear rper!? Whether youâre following me or not itâd be a big help, Iâm trying to make a directory post and could really use your help with the preliminary post, thank you!
facing-the-nukes:
Huey huffed, not excited at the prospect of going out at all, much less for this. He wanted to weasel out of it, and in a different time, a different place, with different people, he could have. Heâd once been good at that. But Solid Snake saw through everything.
âYou donât need me there,â he said. (It was worth a shot.)
Snake gazed at Huey for a while, then lowered his cigarette and exhaled a stream of smoke into the otherâs face. âActually, Mister Peace Walker, we do need you there, to check over the schematics and verify some of the documents.â Hal could have done the schematics alone, but having another pair of eyes wouldnât hurt anything.
Huey coughed, trying to get the taste of cigarette smoke out of his mouth, shooting Snake a glare. He wasn't sure whether the title bestowed upon him or Snake's use of smoke as an annoyance was more bothersome.
"Don't call me that." Huey gathered some papers from his desk that he might need, signaling his agreement to go.
Huey Emmerich the bobcat and Stella the wolf. (Stella is @metalgearquinn âs!)
guess who else drew Stella and Huey last night and by last night I mean at four in the morning.
once upon a time, quinn and @facing-the-nukes had a fantastic Skype RP between one trash dad and one garbage oc, and they accidentally fell in love and made me stay up at 4 AM and draw their dumb butts for like 3 hours and it was all very upsetting but here they are.
this was after I swore Huey would never fall in love with anyone other than Strangelove (because I didnât think he could) and then he did because Stella is fantastic and I
this is perfect, Quinn

âDoctor Emmerich,â Snake said, cutting him off calmly, âI know. Relax. Iâll be wheeling you there, if thatâs what you want, or you can wheel yourself. Either way, weâre all going, so thereâs no point in complaining. Youâre not weaseling out of this. Youâre free to try, though, if you like the sound of your own voice.â

Huey settled back into his chair, breathing out a soft sigh. It wasnât his fault. None of this was. Metal Gear was meant to be a deterrent, not an actual weapon. And theyâd taken it and⊠it wasnât his fault. Shuffling through the old papers, designs, he felt a wave of nostalgia. He had loved Metal Gear like it was his own child. Had Hal felt the same way?
âItâs not⊠it wasnât like that. IâŠâ Huey trailed off, setting the papers aside. âI meant for Metal Gear to be a deterrent. Hot Coldman. Big Boss. Skull Face. They had different ideas.â
âThereâs no such thing as a deterrent,â Snake said, folding his arms. âEventually, for it to serve its purpose, it has to be used in an attack, or itâs not effective. The idea that deterrents are non-violent is a myth cooked up by governments and people like Big Boss so they can say that they were in the right when they build weapons like Metal Gear. And thatâs what they are â weapons. Weapons that are meant to do one thing: kill.â
Huey's shoulders slumped forward and he pushes the papers further away, as though that would somehow distance him from what he had designed, created. "I never meant for this to happen," he murmured. It had been true, in the beginning. Metal Gear had been built as a deterrent, Huey ignorant to what could happen, how it could be used. But over time, Huey had become as corrupted himself as those he had once detested. "I... how did this happen?" How did he go from a young man who had wanted to protect the world from nuclear war, one who despised killing, to a man who had murdered his own wife, gambled with people's lives, and created weapons he knew would be used to kill.
Huey shuffled around the mercenary nervously, his mechanical legs not meant for such precise avoiding maneuvers but managing regardless. He didn't like to come into near contact with any of the men, and this one was no different. "Excuse me," he mumbled, head ducked as he walked past.
