In 1947, an British flight from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Santiago, Chile reported their status over Morse code as "ETA SANTIAGO 17.45 HRS STENDEC". That last word is nonsense, so the tower asked for clarification. They repeated: STENDEC. STENDEC.
They were never heard from again. 11 people vanished, apparently along with their plane, and the only clue is that last word.
And no one knows what the fuck "STENDEC" means.
She STEN on my DEC until I'm never heard from again.
Still feels weird that the same band made "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" and "Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)"
It's like if Smash Mouth and Fall Out Boy were one band.
The Offspring are honestly a contender for the funniest punk band ever, made even funnier by the fact that Dexter Holland is pushing 60 now and has a PhD in virology.
Like imagine being on an academic committee and reviewing a dissertation on HIV protein-encoding genomes and it's from a guy with frosted tips whose greatest legacy is the Crazy Taxi soundtrack.
That's the Offspring.
The hook from "Come Out And Play" was created because Dexter Holland was doing lab work and did, in fact, have to keep certain petri dishes separated while disinfecting them. So he kept saying "gotta keep 'em separated" to himself while working, and it stuck in his head so badly that it made it into the song.
A role model for all of us indecisive people who want to do and try anything and everything.
Loved this book!! Not much happens, but that is okay!! I enjoyed spending time with Viv and her friends as they worked at their coffee shop.
I never thought Iād enjoy cozy fantasy, but this is an amazing book.
I think Thimble is my favorite character of all time
Every time I reread Tolkien, I realize a little bit more how much I love his writing. This was my third reading of āThe Fellowship of the Ringā, and it was just as exciting as the first time. Iāve found things that I didnāt pick up the first two times, and some things I realized I had forgotten.
The Lord of the Rings will always be my favorite series, and I will always enjoy reading it.
This isnāt exactly the type of book I would normally read, it being historical fiction. I only bought it because it took place in Coloradoās Western Slope, a place I am somewhat familiar with.
I loved this book. It was amazing to go on the journey with Victoria, as she grew up too quickly, and learned life.
I love the āfamiliarā setting, and the feeling that youāre there, walking with the characters.
Iola may be on the bottom of the Blue Mesa Reservoir now, but it was nice to experiment how it might have been.
I am excited for her next novel, and am awaiting it somewhat patiently.

Reread this to get ready for the rerelease of Coraline in theaters, and I forgot how much I loved this book!!! I remember enjoying it the first time I read it, and reading it now that Iām older, Iāve noticed different things about it.
Nobody really quite does fantasy like Neil Gaiman, and Iāve loved this story since I first read it.
Iāve been reading āUprootedā by Naomi Novik, and itās been amazing so far. After being in a reading slump for over a year, Iāve finally been able to read again.
Oh man, I loved this book! It has the feeling of reading a familiar fairy tale, while still being new and fresh.
Agnieszka was a great character, and I loved seeing her grow throughout the book. The character development was great, and I loved just about everything about it.
I keep having to tear down extremely predatory/misleading Scien.tology flyers in my school's art building. This is the third fucking time I've ripped the fuckers up and I'm getting Real Fucking Tired of it.
If you see shit like this DO NOT call the number, do not do anything to interact with these fucking people. Take down the posters if you're able to. They do NOT want to help you. They are a literal fucking cult who openly despise psychology and any actual proven mental health science, and are actively trying to trick mentally/emotionally vulnerable people into joining.
The red flags here are "Hubbard," the name of their founder, and "dianetics," the crackpot theory they teach for "auditing" your sins from your past lives.

I am so incredibly glad we finally moved on from āi can hasā. Cats are clearly smart enough for advanced sentence structure and dumb enough to draw entirely incorrect conclusions about what theyāre talking about.
