I am a Sally Jackson stan first and a human being second.
nothing makes me happier than knowing that young disabled kids are going to watch pjo and find themselves in these characters and in this world the same way i did when i was young and undiagnosed
"You're Poseidon's son!"
“I am Sally Jackson’s son!”
Ya Percy ate that the fuck up!
Sally sitting out in the rain reminiscing about her man while Logical plays? Oh this show is sick. 4 more seasons please
she shoved him RIGHT into the lake
annabeth i love you
Dionysus immediately gaslighting Percy into thinking hes Percy’s dad THE SHOW IS SO GOOD
also whoever cast Jason Mantzoukas i wanna kiss you on the forehead
coherent thoughts later but the montage in the woods was soooo fucking funny. the cut to percy's adhd ass trying desperately to keep himself entertained fucking hysterical and relatable as hell. his ass is not paying attention.
#mood, percy
one thing i like about the pjo show is how they address the term "special" and how it impacts percy's reaction to being told he's a demigod. like imagine your whole life you've been told you're special you're amazing you're different to make up for the fact that you don't fit in and it's just so condescending all the time, and he's seriously telling the one person he trusts that he thinks something is actually wrong with him.... she pulls the same thing
i would go ballistic too
love seeing the beginnings of perseus "pay your fucking child support" jackson's crusade against the gods' parental negligence problem in ep 1 & 2 of the pjo show. the absolute KING of "my daddy gave me issues so HE'S about to HAVE issues"
My father, he just... didn't show. I mean, ignoring me is one thing, but he doesn't get to ignore you. I'm gonna make him come down here. I'm gonna make him see me. I'm gonna make him see us both.
PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS (2023 -) I 1.02
I liked these two episodes because they truly captured Percy's two most important traits:
He absolutely loves his mom
He hates the gods so fucking much
“You are Poseidon’s son.”
“I am Sally Jackson’s son!”
YEAH YOU TELL EM PERCY FUCK A DEADBEAT DAD
PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS (2023) 1x01, ""I Accidentally Vaporize My Pre-Algebra Teacher"
Okay so.
Totally normal.
Totally normal about Sally telling Grover “I am entrusting you with my son, my only child” right next to Thalia’s hill.
I am totally normal about the pain that flashes through Grover’s eyes, and how you can see his past failure in the gesture.
I am totally normal about Grover Underwood and his trauma and how it was shown in every piece of that scene.
Charlie is a boy dealing with being bullied, depression with self harm and suicidal attempts, conflicts with his parents and an eating disorder, Nick is dealing with discovering his sexuality and learning to accept himself while also having an absent father and an emotionally abusive older brother and he's also dealing with learning how to manage his feelings of guilt around not knowing how to help Charlie and his own mental health deteriorating and in the meantime they are learning how to be good friends to the others around them and how to maintain a relationship between them and their own personal growth too... and people still call them "basic"... Hm okay
