Blade sweeps Daisy up into his arms with practiced ease. She had been embarrassed the first time it happened, but each time he carried her, she was unbelievably happy too. How many stories had she read where the heroine was carried so gently by her love interest? How often did she wish that she was the one being carried in those stories. And now it happened more often than she could have imagined. There was no need to be embarrassed with the hour so late, no one would be around. But Daisy was too exhausted to conjure up the energy even if she wanted. She rested against Blade, fighting against sleep. He pressed a kiss against the crown of her head, muttering something against it. "I love you too." She wondered if they'd talk about it again, in the morning, or if it was better left off where it had ended. Daisy wasn't sure which she'd prefer. At least she didn't have to face this fear alone any longer. This burden she was carrying. Maybe she could share it.

This isn't about IFs and is instead about a TTRPG OC of mine, but do you want to hear about one of my absolute favorite TTRPG ship I have?
One person is enough for me to yap.
So I have been playing in a TTRPG that uses the SUPERS Revised edition. It's set in the 1970s and it's like a grimdark superhero story. My character, Eon Ravensworth, is from the Netherlands and he is part-demon. His demonic parent might be the Devil, don't worry about it. I won't go too deep into his backstory since this is about the ship and not about him, but if anyone wants to hear me yap about Eon, I will.
One of the other members of the superhero group he's in (called the Agents of Horror) is a person from the Mirror Dimension, the Black Mirror aka Emil/Emily. When you look at them you see a version of yourself that represents how you feel about yourself. For example when Eon first met the Black Mirror, he saw a much more demonic version of himself because he felt like he was a horrible monster. This actually lead to Eon confronting Emil in an alleyway after Emil asked why Eon avoided looking at them.
Eon got very touchy as he explained what he saw including sticking his fingers into the Black Mirror's mouth when talking about his fangs. This lead to Eon realizing that he was sort of into this whole thing and into the Black Mirror. Cue panic. The rest of the adventure there (our first one in New York City) was Eon trying to sort out his feelings including giving the Black Mirror a 'human disguise' using illusions and accidentally giving them an appearance that Eon was attracted to.
At the very end of this adventure, Eon confessed his attraction and the Black Mirror said they didn't know anything about romance or how humans go about it but said they could learn together. They kissed twice during this whole thing.
In the next adventure the two were in a bit of a situationship, including sharing hotel rooms together and kissing, but not actually being in a relationship. At the end of this adventure though, Eon asked Emil out and they began an official relationship (and immediately had sex oops lol). It should be known Eon had never dated before. So it was new for them both.
As time has gone on in the game, they've slowly developed as a couple with the Black Mirror starting to understand love as a concept and their own feelings and fears about romance and relationships. After all mirror people are meant to observe and not get involved and well, they're very involved. Eon has been patient about Emil figuring things out but has also been very clear about his love for them and how they want a future together.
In the last long adventure, they both say I love you for the first time and then the Black Mirror performed a self-sacrifice move that made Eon believe they were dead as they took a sort of living bomb into the Mirror Dimension.
But in the small adventure we did recently, Emil came back! And is now completely cut off from the Mirror Dimension due to what they did (the bomb) and also getting too involved with everyone in the Agents of Horror. This has motivated Eon to consider proposing especially after a conversation they had where they both said they're committed to being with each other for as long as they can.
And thus, Eon is going to be making engagement rings out of their bodies (a glass shard from the Black Mirror and a piece of his own horn) because, listen Eon is just a fucking weird guy and thinks that's romantic.
Anyways I'm obsessed with them.
