VIDIAAAAA oh Vidia the fairy you are she has so many layers i genuinely love her character so much 😭 ESPECIALLY IN THE BOOK “Vidia Meets her Match” (screenshots at the end)
Okay so piecing her lore together is tough as well. It’s really sad when you compare her movie version with her book version because she got redeemed in the movies and became part of the main group— but in the books she’s all alone and is SO MEANNN 💔💔💔
So one has to wonder— what happened? IM GLAD YOU ASKED CAUSE IM GONNA YAP ABOUT MY THEORIES 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Okay so after the great fire destroyed most of Pixie Hollow is when I think Tink decided to leave to go adventure with Peter Pan. She has her own reasons to leave (maybe due to grief, feeling lost, idk yet I have to figure it out 😭). Vidia was very hurt by this. She thought Tink leaving was selfish because it hurt a lot of her friends (especially since she was gone for so long). And as time went by Vidia grew more resentful towards Tink and decided friendships aren’t worth keeping up with. She grew cold and started isolating herself from others.
Then when Tink finally returned, Vidia felt no desire to rekindle their friendship. It was at this point that Vidia reverted back to her old ways. She and Tink ended up having a fight 😿 sealing their relationship in the books as of now. Tink is obviously very feisty so the resentment Vidia gave off reflected off of Tink, especially after hearing that Vidia wasn’t even friendly anymore to ANYONE 💔💔💔
Vidia puts all her focus into being the fastest fairy alive. This distracts her from thinking about lost friendships and what she’s turned into. She doesn’t care what others think, because she’s the best!! At least, that’s what she tells herself. She doesn’t care about how her actions affect others. It’s better to be mean than to get hurt again…right?
The only one who seems to be able to peel away the rough layers is Prilla, because she’s the only fairy who doesn’t give up on her, and sees the potential good in Vidia 😭😭😭 Vidia will let down her walls one day… maybe she’ll go back to how she used to be before the tragedies :(
