This place hadn’t been home, but it was the only thing they had now. At least she had the comfort of knowing that her children had been thrusted into the world along with her. The sunshine felt nice, but she was sitting in the graveyard, and writing in her diary. Something that hadn’t done in years, but it felt nice, and it brought her some sense of normalcy. The sunshine felt good on her skin, even if the tree branches above her hid it out of sight. A sound of a branch breaking caused her to break out of her concentration and look up from the paragraph she had written. Without turning around to see who it was behind her, she could only assume it was Grayson, her youngest.
“Grayson, don’t you dare –“ She stopped mid-sentence, when she finally turned to see who it was behind her.
Basil had once again snuck off away from his guard, he hated the idea of being followed 24/7. He knew it was for his own good, but he was used to being able to just be on his own, doing his own things. But now under the watchful of his guard his movements were limited at best.
