Four years after a car crash, where he was behind the wheel, puts Auguste de Vere in a coma, Damianos Vallis is cast in a movie with Auguste's younger brother, Laurent.

They say when the rich get richer, they also get more corrupt. Something is happening behind the glass walls of Arles Studios and Management.

And like all other skeletons in a closet, it gets exposed eventually.

Of Laces, Layers and Lazy Mornings

Damen's never really paid attention to it before. But he's starting to notice. Veretians, while they wore their clothes laced and sleeved, never really wore their clothes high-necked, like Laurent did.

They dressed themselves impeccably, paint on their faces, bodies covered in jewels.

But Laurent... Laurent never wears any, save for a ring on his finger, and a gold cuff on his wrist.

One morning, curiosity-driven, Damen asks why.

Which leads to them opening up about Laurent's past, their parents, and surprise confessions.

one day i will sit down and properly make the case for nik/jokaste but really it all boils down to this: if jokaste is going to love, and let herself be loved, then she needs to be seen, and nikandros is probably the only person in canon (that we the readers know!) who is capable of truly seeing her. nik’s character, that is, his built-in wariness and intolerance for bullshit, lends itself to that

No, but they're a rare pair that I could actually see happening?

Like, they could be another enemies-friends-lovers trope.

At first, Nik doesn't like/trust Jo because of what she did to Damen. Post KR, I can see her gaining a position in court, where he has to interact with her on a daily basis (I could see her on Laurent's Council, maybe? Or a Kyroi of a smaller region, based at court).

Damen has forgiven her, but Nik is reluctant to. But gradually, they become friends. Their bickering turns to good-natured bickering.

(Laurent and Damen decide they're both insufferable, but Laurent low key supports them together.)

They team work to solve problems, and they help each other in turn. They trade harmless insults and they're able to keep up with each other because their sense of humor is so similar and they're equally as witty and they're not afraid to call each other out on their bs. Thus begins the feelings.

Nik eventually comes to realize her worth, that she's not just another pretty face, but she's a complex person behind the front she puts up, and is able to help her when she's struggling with the aftermath of everything that happened through the CP trilogy.

And then he has an oh shit, I'm actually in love with her moment. Things aren't easy, but he comes to accept it, and things bloom naturally between them from there.

Are we interested in a 2021 Captive Prince Big Bang event?

We would like to put on a Captive Prince Big Bang for 2021 - but first we need to determine if we will have enough participants, and exactly what kind of Bang will work best for our fandom at this time.

What is a fandom Big Bang exchange? In a Big Bang, fanfiction writers and fanwork artists come together in a collaborative exchange. In a classic Big Bang, the writer will choose a prompt or come up with an idea and create a completed fanfiction based on that premise. The artist will claim an outline that interests them and provide a completed piece of fanart based on the writer’s story. In a Reverse Bang, the prompting/claiming is swapped, and it’s the artist who picks the theme!
