Bully him
âCringe culture is deadâ
*male leaves his home in something cringe*
âBully himâ
this isnt cringe culture, this is âimplied porn of a childrenâs show in publicâ
Cringe culture (thatâs dead): making fun of people for liking anime or cartoons or whatever and talking about it a lot.
Stuff thatâs still not ok: Exposing children to implied porn of their favorite characters.
Totally OK: men enjoying My Little Pony, buying My Little Pony merch, wearing a normal My Little Pony shirt.
Not OK: Grown Ass Adults wandering around with god damn cartoon porno screen printed on their clothes.
ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES, TRUDY
one of my favorite fucking feelings in the world is when youâre having a discussion with somebody about literature and themes and storytelling and etc or even just like, your feelings, and as youâre rambling on about the interpretation of something-or-the-other you have this lightbulb moment where two ideas connect in your head all of a sudden and you couldnât have done it without the context of another person there and you both get so excited about this new theory youâre developing
like. collaboration. trust. complexity. awakenings. this shit isnât just analysis, itâs art.
Connie Willisâs 1992 Doomsday Book was one of that decadeâs most-lauded science fiction novels, winning both the Hugo and the Nebula awards. It introduced a near-future world where time travel has been developed, though far from perfected, and is being deployed for the purposes of historical research at Oxford University.
That sounds positively quaint â sending graduate students back in time, rather than Terminators â but itâs a prospect that Willis carefully engineered by giving her time travelers constraints including âthe slippageâ (the farther back you go, the less precisely you can target yourself in time) and most crucially âthe paradoxes.â The paradoxes, said to derive from fundamental physics, guarantee that no time traveler is allowed to pass if their presence will create a meaningful historical disruption.
Hereâs what youâd never guess from the title, art, or even description: itâs a Christmas book! The scholars choose December for their long jaunt, because counting the days is crucial for safe return and in an era before the calendar was standardized, the holidays provided a reliable ritual. As time-traveling Kivrin rolls the yule log and puts up with wine-drunk revelry, synthesized bells sound increasingly ominous carols over Oxfordâs High Street.

Weâre so close!!
If you'll support my mental illness when I'm suicidal, but not when I'm making my fifty-third consecutive manic post about my latest hyperfixation, you are NOT my ally. It's not always poetry, baby. Support your clinically annoying friends.
Hands down funniest thing that's ever happened to me was when this girl who, like, exploited my mental illness for woke points came over during an episode and made me this stunning Pinterest-worthy pillow fort full of fairy lights so I could have an "anxiety nest", but I was literally sobbing so violently that I was throwing up, and when I was like, "I can't actually drink tea in a tent right now because I think I need to go to the hospital," she called me an ungrateful slut and left.
And then STILL posted Instagram pictures of the fort with a lengthy, pretentious caption about how hard it was to be friends with crazy people.
I was angry at the time, but honestly? Delightful. Just imagine your friend is too dehydrated and delirious to hold his own inhaler and you're angry because he won't get in your fort.
holy shit
The best part is the fact that out of the two of them Martha Stewart was the one who went to prison.
WaitâŠwhat?
Wiiiiild. He did commit murder (in self defense - no judging) and Americaâs Best Housewife was sent to jail because of insider trading, securities fraud, obstruction of justice and conspiracy. This is wiiiiiild đđđ
also he has every right to make fun of kanye west considering snoop has had a successful career for about two decades including his own cookbook and appearing in movies whereas kanye is a flat earther who had to crowdfund another album because he ran out of money despite kim kardashian being with him, not having the money to produce another album should be the metric when you know you can tell a musician has failed somewhere in either money management or actually being a musician rather then a famous trainwreck
snoop dogg is a good man who loves cooking, nature, and supporting the dreams of young children in poverty. kanye west helped get trump elected.
*painting my nails black* its me Rodrick your stupid emo older brother in a band. im gay
I found a tool that letâs you figure out whether men are dominating the conversation or not.
Seriously thatâs all it does. Â Iâm feeling cheeky today, so I thought Iâd share.
welp, iâll be using this in every meeting i attend
So I work at a pretty progressive company so at t the last meeting I brought a click counter and I clicked it every time a man cut someone off. I used a pen pad to keep track of the women cutting someone off. Because it happened twice. Both times after theyâd been cut off and were trying to finish a sentence. Eventually the men noticed the clicking and would pause and look around. At the end of the meeting I told them the results. In a one hour meeting men had cut someone off a total of 236 times. Two hundred and thirty six.
Two more meetings and you can pavlov your coworkers into not interrupting women
YouTubers when they hit a subscriber milestone:
Jenna Marbles when she hits a subscriber milestone:
You know what, developing boys shouldnât be seeing this either. Iâve seen plenty of grown men who barely know what real (ie not photoshopped) women look like, especially in swim suits. Which leads to girls getting teased about their body by their peers from a young age.
What would you do if you were scrolling through recommended tumblr posts and one was from someone you don't know and it was just a picture of your dad captioned "fucking hate this guy" and it had hundreds of notes
reblog it
Pennsylvania, WTF
I live in Pennsylvania. It is super weird here because itâs a Northern state, but you see confederate flags all-the-time. Itâs like a state just covered with invisible Mason-Dixon lines and you never know when you crossed one. âOh shit, Iâm in Pennsyltucky now. I didnât see a sign.â
Today I went to the mall, which is sad in its own way. I saw a girl wearing a shirt that said, âIf you donât respect this flag I will help you pack your bags.â Iâve seen that shirt before with an American flag, which isnât the most forward thinking message, but this shirt was so much worse, because it wasnât the American flag. It was the confederate flag.
Letâs review: This girl is in a northern state, displaying a confederate flag, and insisting that if we donât respect that flag we should leave? Leave the state that was on the winning team for not respecting the loosing teamâs flag? How does one even ârespectâ a confederate flag? âYo, dude, Iâm so sorry your great grandfather lost his slaves. That must be really hard on you.â Come on.
I really considered asking her with a smiling face where she was visiting from. I didnât because I didnât trust myself to keep a straight face. Plus, I canât imagine it would encourage her to rethink her stance on it.
Pennsylvania, man. WTF?
filling out the depression and anxiety checkboxes at the doctors is always so sad but also very very funny
I am handed a piece of paper. I check off a box that says âevery day I wish I were dead.â I hand back the paper. The paper and its contents are never again discussed.
