Barbie ( the movie) reminds me of my childhood but not as in pink and music no it reminds me of the little adorable boys that I grew up with and were friends with that suddenly stopped talking when I walked into the room . It reminds me of the first time I saw my brother look at a girl my own age and talk to her like an object and the first time I had to wear my hoodie so I don't give the boys ideas and barbie reminds me of screaming at my mom as a teenager and how much of a shitty ungrateful kid I am and barbie reminds me of the "nice guys" that feel entitled to me because they pay attention to me and I should pay them back for acknowledging me and barbie reminds me a lot of performing femininity and having to live off masculinity and barbie reminds me a lot of feminism and its relevance and barbie reminds me of the vile things men say and top it up with "that's just locker room talk" and the first time I stopped being person and became "girl".

The fact that Barbie didn't even hate Ken she just didn't love him and what did he do?? DESTROY HER ENTIRE WORLD. The fact that after getting attention ken wanted barbie to be his "long distance low maintainance girlfriend" the fact that Barbie had to apologize for "leading Ken on" when all she did was not flirt with him. The fact that critics are calling it man hating because "the men are only objects" and that's top misandry and the women don't even abuse the men. Or control them. Or r*pe them or dehumanize them they just leave them alone and that's "misandry" and the fact that men feel objectified for not having a main role even though the movie is BARBIE and Ken got an entire redemption arc and the fact that Ken doesn't even get sexualized but if this was James Bond with a hot blond bimbo to pump and dump it'd be fine.

Barbie reminds me of liberal thoughts but conservative lifestyle. It reminds me of why i will never have kids. It reminds me of feminine rage and female existence. Of things I try to overlook but still notice.

What if Izuku was part of the Addams family and his way of courting Shouta would be either gifting him with extremely old and expensive jewellery/beautiful weapons or his actual heart on a platter or maybe vials of his blood to wear? And Shouta is just..over the moon about it. Someone cares that much they gave him their actual beating heart to do with as he pleases? He has it well hidden, very well protected and only he or Izuku can access it. Shouta’s friends who were at first concerned for izuku because they know how obsessive Shouta can get and want to look out for him a little but then meet Shouta’s beloved. They decide pretty quickly to just back away as quickly as possible because the things Izuku is saying and doing are a bit..abnormal. Shouta and Izuku gift each other rare poisons and the sharpest of daggers. Whenever Shouta gets Izuku flowers they cut off the heads of each flower and keep the thorny stems as a decorative piece. Shouta gets invited and is quickly accepted into the Izuku’s family, duelling with Gomez (Izuku’s father), getting information from Morticia (Izuku’s mother) and Grandmama about what izuku likes and doesn’t, and bonds with Wednesday and Pugsley (Izuku’s siblings) by teaching them different ways to torture people, as well as reading with Lurch in the library. Izuku can speak more than one language and is learning more so he can call his beloved a special name in each tongue. They may not waltz or tango but they definitely dance. They never go a day without seeing each other. Izuku reads weird poetry and lays offerings to Shouta’s cats as a sign of respect.

aghsjdk YESSS I LOVE THIS duuude imagine an addam's family AU where izuku is like the number one hero and he's widely for sometimes saying these random out of pocket things, especially about his childhood/family, but most people just assume it's all jokes or an attempt to muddy up his past so it's harder for villains to find his family or smth. anyways he meets shouta and he's like "oh this? this is mine now" and starts like lowkey stalking him, leaving bizarre gifts at his doorstep or on his windowsill and constantly popping up wherever he goes, and he makes it very clear that his intentions are romantic, and shouta is also a little weirdo so his only response to this is "flattering, but the number one hero is out of my league" and so one day he finally stops izuku and is like "why are you doing all this" and izuku just smiles and is like "you remind me of home! my parents are gonna love you when we get married :D"

so anyways yes, lots of red flags, but shouta's favorite color is red so they start dating. and it takes him a while to get used to the ways izuku expresses affection, but he's mostly just like "eh everyone has a different love language" and doesnt really care much, plus he thinks it's cute watching izuku get more and more dramatic with trying to win over his cats to get their permission to court him. and then one day he's on patrol and he picks up like a fancy knife that someone got stabbed with or something, and he doesnt even think beyond "oh, izuku would like this" before shoving it in his pocket and then goes home and tosses this bloody knife to izuku and is like "found this, thought you might like it" and izuku immediately tears up and is like "for me???" and is absolutely giddy and shouta's just pleased that he finally found a gift that izuku will actually accept. so after that he starts trying to find all sorts of weird shit to give izuku, and tbh he doesnt really get most of it (like why does izuku want a vial of concentrated cyanide, he knows izuku would never kill anyone) but it's kind of fun to try and find the weirdest things he possibly can, and it makes izuku really happy, and that's more than enough for him. and things escalate pretty quickly to the point that everyone around them is seeing them give each other everything from rusty axes to beautifully intricate swords to bones with unreadable words carved into them to gems that look like theyre looking back at you and automatically assume that they hate each other and trying to get each other cursed but when someone finally works up the nerve to actually bring this up to them izuku just laughs and is like "a little curse is good for the spirit every now and then!" and shouta just shrugs and is like "well, haven't gotten cursed yet" and they both keep doing it ahjdk

anyways so then finally shouta proposes and he uses these custom made rings that will inject poison into the wearer if they ever try to take them off and izuku is just. the happiest little fucker you have ever SEEN. constantly showing off his ring to everyone and gushing about it and everyone around them is like laughing nervously and is like "they're fucking with us, right?? they're joking about the poison thing just to mess with us??" and shouta just smiles ahjkd and then as they're planning their wedding izuku is like super casually "now that we're engaged, you should probably meet my parents" and shouta does a spit take and is like "??? i thought your parents were dead??" and izuku's like "that was years ago, darling, do try to keep up" and then it's time to meet the in-laws :)
