Halò a h-uile duine.
So I’m going to try posting a bit more. I’m a wee bit nervous, and let’s face it, life (and predominantly work) tends to get in the way. Don’t accept promotions, people. More responsibilities are a killer haha.
I know the art on here is either liked or really, really hated. It is what it is. But it’s fun, and it distracts my brain in a good way.
So not-so-nice messages aside, I’ll try and share more fun ideas here and there when I can — especially when fakemon pop into my head.

No. ??? – Serphose
The Hose Snake Pokémon
Type: Grass / Water
Height: 5m (16'40) — can stretch 5x its body leghn when filled with water
Weight: 1.8 kg (3.96lbs)
---
Field Note Entry
Serphose is a peaceful Pokémon commonly found near homesteads in the Orcaibh region. It has a long, hose-like body and a flexible snout that resembles a garden sprayer. It absorbs water through its tail like a siphon, storing the liquid within its elastic body before releasing it as fine, gentle jets. Though helpful, it is notoriously lazy and will often lounge in gardens for hours after gorging itself on berries.
---
Biology
Serphose has a serpentine body composed of flexible tissue that can expand or contract depending on how much water it stores. It passively draws up water by placing its tail into ponds or puddles, intaking water like a siphon. When full, it becomes bloated and sluggish, stretching up to five times its resting length.
Its head is rounded and soft, with a gentle nozzle-like snout adapted to emit water under controlled pressure. Despite its size, its body is thin and weak. It is notoriously non-aggressive and is often seen snoozing in shaded patches of grass.
Serphose has strong nuriant ritch enzymes in its ling digestive tract that allow it to break down large quantities of fruit. After feeding, it typically falls asleep for several hours, making it one of the laziest Pokémon in the region.
It us these enzymes that mix with the water intaken in to its body that makes its water spray so beneficial to garden plants.
---
Appearance
Body: Long, thin, and flexible like a rubber garden hose. It is a soft, leafy green hue.
Head: Rounded with a soft, hose-like nozzle for a mouth. Its “face” is expressive with big watery eyes, giving it a drowsy or bashful look.
Eyes: Large, round, and pale blue with wide pupils. Often half-lidded or sleepy.
Tail: tail tip is slightly thicker and tipped with a suction organ. When placed in water, it visibly ripples as the Pokémon draws in fluid.
Movement: Slithers slowly and often coils lazily. When motivated, it can stretch and whip its body with surprising range.
---
Inspiration & Traits
• Inspired by garden hosepipes, grass snakes, and passive irrigation systems.
• Reflects the rural lifestyle of Orcaibh and the close relationship between people, land, and Pokémon.
• The design emphasizes helpfulness, comfort, and nature-based tools.
• The Pokémon’s behavior is a mix of helpfulness and laziness—a creature that works in bursts, then naps for hours.
---
Personality
Serphose is very gentle and timid, often hiding itself in long grass. Though shy around strangers, it quickly bonds with Trainers who treat it kindly. It avoids conflict, preferring to curl into a loop or retreat into a nearby puddle.
Once it feels safe, it becomes affectionate and helpful—especially in gardens. Serphose enjoys spraying flowers and vegetables with light mist and is happiest when surrounded by gentle rain or damp soil.
However, it is known to be extremely lazy. After feeding or watering a garden, it will often fall asleep where it stands (or slumps). Many rural homes keep it around as a low-maintenance companion, with children being taught from a young age to be gentle around them, as they can be startled easily and recoil into coils of hose-like loops. Distracting them fron there aloted task.
---
Habitat & Natural Environment
Serphose is most commonly found in fertile wetlands, garden plots, rain-soaked meadows, and grassy woodlands. It prefers cool, damp areas and will avoid prolonged sunlight unless near a water source.
---
Behavior
Mostly active in the early morning and late evening. During midday, it tends to sleep in curled loops beneath bushes or tall weeds. It spends long periods lying still with its tail submerged in water to passively hydrate.
Serphose will only spray water when relaxed or excited. If startled, it will shoot a concentrated stream from its snout and flee.
---
Diet
Primarily frugivorous. It loves berries—particularly plump, water-rich varieties like Oran and Sitrus. After a large meal, it becomes sluggish and may nap for hours.
It also absorbs moisture and trace nutrients from pondwater through its tail, which helps support its elestic body.

Pokédex Entries by Region
Kanto
Serphose uses its hose-like snout to spray water across flower beds and vegetable patches. Gardeners value it for its gentle temperament, though its laziness can be frustrating when work needs doing.
Johto
This Pokémon can absorb large amounts of water through its tail, storing it in its long, flexible body. It’s often mistaken for a coiled garden hose when sleeping.
Hoenn
In rainy gardens and wetlands, Serphose can be seen stretching its body across entire rows of crops. When overfed on berries, it may not move for an entire day.
Sinnoh
Serphose's connection to both plants and water makes it a symbol of seasonal renewal. It is often seen lying in the tall grass after misty mornings, absorbing dew through its skin.
Unova
Old irrigation tales tell of a lazy green “hose spirit” that would water plants while napping. These stories likely originated from encounters with Serphose.
Kalos
Farmers in northern Kalos often exchange seeds for Serphose sightings, as its watering sprays are believed to enrich soil. However, they note that it often dozes off mid-task.
Alola
In Alolan berry plantations, Serphose is sometimes used as a living hose. Trainers must keep it motivated with snacks, as it prefers relaxing in shade to working under the hot Alolan sun.
Paldea
Garden clubs in Paldea admire Serphose’s usefulness but struggle with its lazy nature. It’s common to find Serphose asleep atop the very flowerbeds it just watered.
Orange Islands
It often places the end of its tail in ponds and streans, often forgetting it has done so. It is not uncommon for this Pokémon to of slivered away for a dozen or more meters through the undergrowth before realixing it's long body has become tangled.
Orcaibh (Home Region) Entry 1
This peaceful Pokémon slithers through long grass with its tail dipped in water. It slowly fills its body like a sponge, then releases soft misty sprays through its snout to water the land.
Orcaibh (Home Region) Entry 2
Serphose is treasured in many Orcaibh gardens, where it lives harmoniously with its trainers. After a hearty berry meal, it coils into a lazy loop and naps for hours beneath the leaves it just

Abilities
Soaktap (Standard Ability – New)
When hit by Water-type moves used against it deal no damage and instead “fill its reservoir,” boosting the power of its next Water-type move by 50%. This bonus is consumed on use.
Idea Behind Ability:
Just like a garden tap filling a hosepipe, Soaktap lets the Pokémon draw water directly from enemy attacks—to recharge. Its body fills like a water tank, fueling its next spray.
Stopcock (Hidden Ability – New)
While this Pokémon is active, the power of all Water-type moves used by opposing Pokémon is reduced by 30%.
Idea behind Ability:
A stopcock regulates water flow in real plumbing, and this Pokémon does the same on the battlefield. Calm but intuitive, it instinctively restricts water based attacks from others, reducing damage as if tightening a valve.

Quick Update
Halò a charaidean, just a wee note to say sorry things have been a bit quiet on here lately. Truth is, I’ve been struggling with motivation after a few comments knocked the wind out of my sails. It’s silly maybe, but it made posting harder than usual.
This blog is still something I love, it’s just taking me a little time to find my spark again. Thank you so much to those who’ve stuck around, been kind, and enjoyed my Pokémon ramblings. I see you, and it means the world. 💚

Every Region has its myths some stories are sadder than others!
No. ??? – Sorroquine
The Sorrow Steed Pokémon
Type: Water / Dark
Height: 2.2 m (7'3")
Weight: 194.0 kg (427.7 lbs)
Field Note Entry
Sorroquine is a deeply mysterious Pokémon said to dwell within the deepest, stillest inland lochs of Orcaibh. Known for its haunting wail, which echoes mournfully across the moors and glens, Sorroquine has long been feared and revered in equal measure, and sightings are surrounded by ancient tales of sorrow, loss, and disappearances.
Said to be born from the cumulative grief of countless lives claimed by lochs and rivers that dot the land, it is less a creature of flesh than a manifestation of waterborne grief.
Trainers and locals alike report an overwhelming melancholy when in its presence, describing it as if their saddest memories surface all at once.
Most local tales say Sorroquine appears on mist-shrouded nights, beckoning wanderers toward the water with its tearful eyes. While many stories speak of it dragging the lonely or lost beneath the surface, folklorists debate whether this is malicious or merely a misunderstood desire for companionship. Though none who are said to have vanished in its presence have ever returned.
Though the few written accounts varies, it is believed this Pokémon dose not attack in the traditional sense—instead, it methodically drowns those weighed down by sorrow or despair, pulling them beneath the surface as if inviting them to give in and rest.
---
Biology
Sorroquine resembles a tall, majestic equine with a sleek, aquatic frame and main and tsil of rushing untamed water.
Its eyes are hauntingly sad almost grief stricken with a single tear line running endlessly from each socket.
This Pokémon also posses to long ear like horns sprouting from its head.
Despite its mass, it glides silently across water, and even land, leaving behind no ripples or hoofprints in its wake. On rare occasions, when angered or provoked, Sorroquine can unleash tremendous torrents of dark cold water said to be infused with pure grief, known to cause hallucinations or emotional breakdowns in humans and Pokémon alike.
Its core temperature is near freezing, and being near Sorroquine causes the surrounding air to chill nut not cold enough to freeze.
Its heartbeat is said to echo like a drum through the loch waters—slow, steady, and melancholic. Drawing people in.
Perhaps one of the most distinctive feature is the ring-like symbol on its flank, said to appear even in the reflections of water where Sorroquine is not physically present. Though the meaning behind this symbol is yet unknown.
Appearance
• Body: Elongated and sinuous, like a horse forged from shadow and water.
• Eyes: Wide, mournful—constantly "crying" rivulets of dark water.
• Mane & Tail: Flowing, ethereal dark water hair like tendrils.
• Coloration: Deep teal and midnight blue with pearlescent ripples that mimic light on a loch.
• Hooves: Translucent and fluid, leaving no print nor sound.
---
Inspiration & Traits
• Inspired by Scottish kelpie folklore—supernatural water horses said to lure victims to their deaths.
• Embodies grief, mourning, and the weight of unresolved sorrow.
• Cultural Themes: Reflects the reverence and fear surrounding natural water bodies in Scottish and Orcadian folklore.
• Psychological Symbolism: Represents unresolved grief, longing, and the boundary between life and memory.
• Functions not as a predator, but as a spiritual manifestation of accumulated human and Pokémon emotion.
• Its presence is often detected only as a reflection on still loch waters or by hearing its distant cries on quiet nights.
---
Personality
Sorroquine is not nessiserily malevolent, but inevitably tragic. And a fundamental force of emotion made phisical. It is drawn to the emotionally vulnerable—those who are grieving or weighed down by sadness. These individuals report hearing its cries more clearly than others. With legends statung only the ones who have lost a love one hearing its crys at all. The sad sounds falling on deaf ears of thoughs yet to greave.
When it appears in full form, it moves with slow, dreamlike grace, offering no immediate threat—but its very proximity often overwhelms the will to resist. It “feeds” not on phisical food, but on deep sorrow, becoming stronger in regions with heavy emotional history.
Dipictions differ depending on island but some state it shows compassion to the lonely or mourning, often appearing when those in grief are near lakes. Others state its desire for connection is overpowering — it may draw others into its world beneath the waves not out of yearning to never be alone again.
Wether malicious or not for countless generations this Pokémon’s name has been passed foen verbally in Orcaibh long before written accounts with many modern people believing such a Pokémon dosent exist and a few believing it waits by still waters to drown all that come near.
Habitat – Natural Environment
• Dwells in deep, inland lochs with dark, still waters.
• Avoids fast flowing rivers or stormy coastlines.
• Rare sightings occur during mist-heavy evenings or silent moonlit nights.
• Some say its “true” loch is hidden entirely from maps, appearing only to those suffering intense loss. Known Lochs with asocated legends include - Loch Caoldubhain – Known for unnatural silence and strange lights beneath the surface. - Loch Morranveil – A loch where no reflections appear at night. and Naomh’s mirror. A loch in a Hollow in the mountains who's water never freezes over.
---
Behavior
• Almost never seen by groups—only solitary individuals report full sightings.
• Appears as a reflection in water before ever breaching the surface.
• Its cry can only be heard by those experiencing recent loss or despair.
• When approached, it may vanish silently beneath the surface, leaving only ripples.
---
Diet
• Does not eat in a traditional sense. It is nourished by grief, loneliness, and mourning.
• Appears to grow stronger in the wake of natural disasters or times of widespread sadness.

No. ??? – Dodoul
The Earthbound Pokémon
Type: Ghost
Height: 0.91 m (3")
Weight: 19.9 kg (44 lbs)
---
Field Note Entry
Once a widespread and trusting Normal-type species, Dodoul was wiped out centuries ago due to its flightlessness and gentle nature. Though it has returned as a Ghost-type Pokémon, it remains tethered to the earth — unable to fly even in death.
It is often oblivious to trainers seen frantically flapping its transparent wings in an atemot to take flight but flutters uselessly to no avail. Many people laugh at its gliding attempts that end in awkward tumbles or sudden splats.
This has become a source of tragic irony and low-tier comedy across the Orcaibh region.
Dodoul is not dangerous, but its presence unnerves some and frustrates many. It wanders old nesting grounds at night, often seen solemnly pacing in circles or peering wistfully up at the stars. Despite its spectral status, it’s no more powerful than it was in life, and is more of a local oddity than a feared spirit.
---
Biology
Dodoul resembles the ghostly remnant of an ancient, awkward bird. Its features are loosely based on the extinct dodo, with its bulbous beak, rounded body, and exaggerated wing stubs. It has long, spindly legs that seem to “glitch” or phase slightly when it walks — its ghostly form not quite adapted to the mortal ground it treads.
Its plumage is a dusty spectral gray, with soft blue/violet highlights.
Dodoul has a dark eye-mask across its face, both alluding to a simplitsic skull look and imence tiredness or hinting at its perpetual disappointment.
It often emits a low, frustrated coo as it tries and fails to hover — a noise that some say sounds like an old door creaking shut.
---
Appearance
• Body: Round and sleek
• Wings: Stumpy, fluttering, but incorporeal — more for expression than flight.
• Eyes: Simple, cartoonishly round and expressive in a ghostly way
• Beak: Curved, large, ghostly pale.
• Legs: Long, thin, with exaggerated waddling movement.
---
Inspiration & Traits
• Inspired by the real-world dodo and its extinction through overtrusting behavior and inability to flee.
• Has a comical yet tragic flavor — a ghost that still can’t fly, even with spectral wings.
• Conceptually the “punchline Pokémon” — locals often tell ghost stories where Dodoul is the setup and the joke.
---
Personality
Dodoul is not hostile in the slightest. It spends its time trying (and failing) to fly, gently haunting cliffs or fields where its species once nested. While occasionally spooky when glimpsed suddenly at night, or when it pers randomly through peoples windows. It quickly undercuts this with its clumsy, flapping routine. Trainers often keep Dodoul as a mascot of misfortune, or simply out of pity.
In battle, Dodoul does little more than try to cause minor irritation. It squawks, flails, and vanishes into the mist — only to appear ten seconds later slightly stuck in a fence or bush. It’s not stupid, just persistently disappointed and overtrusting in others.
---
Habitat – Natural Environment
• Commonly found in grassy hillsides, moors, and coastal cliffs — areas once home to colonies of its original species when alive
• Seen only at night, often wandering alone or pacing in circles.
• Particularly active during cloudy or foggy nights with no wind.
---
Behavior
• Often attempts to fly off ledges but just drifts downward like its heavier than it should be.
• Pecks at berries it can’t eat and honks mournfully at flying-type Pokémon overhead.
• Will sometimes "hide" behind a single twig or poorly chosen rock, believing itself unseen.
• Tends to ignor people but hares flying type pokemon- will honk at trainers who trsin flying types.
• If its trainer catches a pokenon that flies it becomes increasingly jealous compeating for its trainers affection- in some cases it ignors its trainers commands out of displacement.

No. 155 – Cyndaquil (Orcaibh Form- Stormiquil)
The Storm Mouse Pokémon
Type: Electric / Water
Height: 0.5 m (18")
Weight: 8.9 kg (19.6 lbs)
---
Field Note Entry
Orcaibh Cyndaquil is a shy reclusive Pokémon that dwells along storm-battered shores and tidal flats. Instead of igniting flames on its back, it generates rolling dark thunderclouds charged with static electricity and heavy moisture. When calm, the clouds fade into a almost soft mist. When upset or excited, they darken and swirl violently, sparking bolts of lightning.
---
Biology
Orcaibh Cyndaquil evolved in coastal regions where constant dampness made combustion impractical. To adapt, it developed specialized follicles along its spine that emit an electrically charged vapor. The moisture clings to the dense fur and gathers into cloud banks, providing both camouflage against fog and a means of defense.
Its fur is short, smooth, and water-repellent. Though it has abandoned fire as an energy source, it retains high body warmth, allowing it to endure cold storms. Its overall body shape has remained the same in comparison to Johto Cyndaquil, preserving its familiar profile.
---
Appearance
Orcaibh Cyndaquil has the same rounded body and proportions as its Johto counterpart.
Back Fur: Deep blue with a subtle sheen, reminiscent of storm clouds over the sea, and dark deep waters.
Underbelly: Dirty cream color, darker and duller than the original pale yellow.
Snout: Same length and shape, with a small dark nose.
Eyes: Closed most of the time, maintaining its serene, timid look.
Back: Instead of flames, a bank of swirling dark clouds that drift and shift with its emotions, trailing tiny arcs of static. The back is patterned with scattered small blue spots that resemble raindrops against the stormy fur.
Feet: Compact and sturdy with small claws.

Pokédex Entries by Region
Kanto
This Cyndaquil’s storm clouds are said to embody the restless power of the northern seas. Trainers often mistake its calm demeanor for gentleness, but it is quick to anger if startled, discharging arcs of lightning that dance across the wet ground. It thrives in rain and can be seen playing among the waves when storms roll in.
Johto
Unlike the Cyndaquil commonly chosen by new Trainers, this regional form replaces fire with dense storm clouds formed from static-laden moisture in its fur. Its volatile nature and sudden squalls make it ill-suited for beginners, as it startles easily and responds with bursts of rain and electricity.
Hoenn
When coastal storms approach, this Pokémon’s back clouds grow darker and thicker, clinging to its fur like heavy fog. Locals believe it senses oncoming weather before it hits, gathering static in anticipation. It seems happiest when the rain is falling steadily.
Sinnoh
Its swirling static fog is so charged that some Trainers use it to predict approaching storms. When content, it hums softly in the rain, but if frightened, the cloud on its back erupts in flashes of blue lightning.
Unova
When threatened, it whips up a drenching downpour strong enough to flood burrows and flush out intruders. Its temperament is notoriously fickle—calm one moment, unleashing thunderstorms the next.
Kalos
Orcaibh Cyndaquil has been seen along northern cliffs, basking in coastal rain squalls. Local folklore claims its presence can summon the rain to heal parched fields, though many caution that its sudden tempers can turn a gentle drizzle into a fierce tempest.
Alola
Migratory Cyndaquil that settled on rain-slick shores adapted by trading fire for electricity. Their fur gathers moisture from sea spray and forms billowing storm banks along their backs, which crackle with static whenever they grow excited.
Paldea
When kept in research facilities, Orcaibh Cyndaquil becomes restless if deprived of rain for too long. It often splashes in shallow ponds to create its own storms, a habit that has led to flooded courtyards and damp corridors. Trainers in Paldea admire its determination to stay close to water wherever it goes.
Orange Islands
These Pokémon are drawn to the humid monsoon rains of the archipelago. Locals say they dance along the beaches during downpours, their storm clouds trailing bright sparks over the sand.
Orcaibh (Home Region) Entry 1
This shy Pokémon spends hours sitting in the surf, letting rain wash over its fur as its storm cloud billows with a soft drizzle. It grows uneasy if the skies remain clear too long, as it finds calm only in steady rainfall.
Orcaibh (Home Region) Entry 2
Though it looks timid, Orcaibh Cyndaquil has a temper like a brewing squall. When startled or upset, it unleashes torrential rain and dazzling lightning, drenching everything nearby. Its stormy moods make it a challenging companion for all but the most patient Trainers.

• Opposing Pokémon’s accuracy is lowered by 1 stage when they enter battle while Heavy Rain persists.
• If the user knows Drizzle Spark, its power increases by 20 during Heavy Rain.
Animation Concept:
Dark thunderclouds gather, lightning flickers in the clouds, and rain pours down in thick sheets while the battlefield grows dim.

A Quick Note About This Page & AI Art
Halò a charaidean! Just a little reminder (and clarification) for anyone new or curious about the art and content here on FakemonFieldNotes
This blog is a fun, creative space where I share ideas, designs, and worldbuilding for my own made-up Pokémon region: the Orcaibh Region! I love storytelling and concept-making more than anything—but I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the strongest traditional artist (though I’m always learning and trying!).
That’s why I use AI art tools as a way to help bring my concepts to life. Some posts are full AI-generated images, others are AI-assisted with tweaks or additions by me, and a few are all me.
The same goes for the writing—AI helps me catch typos, smooth out grammar, and make my dyslexia a little less of a hurdle when it comes to sharing thoughts clearly, and for others to read/understand.
This is all clearly stated in my bio, and I tag posts with relevant AI-related tags, or at least try to! (That is not to say there is not room for improvement in this area, i will try and make more obvious were needed) I’m not hiding this, and I never want to mislead anyone, as to what is posted here.
🚫 Also so everyone knows- I don’t take commissions—my work here is just a hobby and a way to express myself. And as the core of it may be AI in nature, it wouldnt be right for me to do so. I’m grateful for those who enjoy the content, but please know it’s all done for fun, not as a professional service.
I know AI art can be a touchy topic, and I absolutely respect that. All I ask is for kindness and respect in return—this is a personal, creative space and I want it to stay welcoming and enjoyable. If it’s not for you, that’s okay! But snide comments or rude behavior won’t be engaged with. And if it is for you and your happy with my Pokemon info dumps, then Fàilte.
Thanks so much for understanding, and for being here! 💚
