Being aplatonic/loveless

I have a lot of questions about the concept of being aplatonic and furthermore about lovelessness

There’s so much research about how friendships are necessary for positive mental health, so what do people do instead? Especially if the person is also aroace etc.

Doesn’t it detriment someone’s mental health to have no close bonds or connections?

Where do people go when they have problems or aren’t doing well? Do they just cope?

I know people used to think romance/sex was necessary but that was based in misogyny, and what would the benefit be to spreading misinfo about friendships?

I’m not saying people who don’t feel this way are broken, btw. I’m just wondering how it works since I want to support everyone but I can’t when from my POV it seems harmful, if that makes sense?

Note: I’m aroace and I’m pretty sure afamilial, not sure if that’s relevant though
