Everyone's already talked about how well they're showing Percy and Annabeth's fatal flaws, but no one's mentioned how they're also doing a great job showing Luke's fatal flaw, wrath. It can also be seen in the season 1 finale, but in this season they're really going all in. Luke gets so lost in his anger he becomes an actual monster

sometimes I get so angry thinking about ‘The Imitation Game’ that I have to go in a little ‘upset big tantrum room’ in my head for a calm down
like, Benisnatch Cumberque played the same character he’s always plays as an asshole genius and we were all supposed to be okay with it, but it’s basically character slander
at different parts of the movie Turing is described as ‘arrogant, “inhuman,” “narcissistic,” and even “a monster,” in the film he goes against those around him and is shown to periodically ignore and belittle his colleagues
And. I. Am. So. Angry.
Alan Turing was described by his friends and people that knew him as “intensely shy and kindly”, he was said to “inspire loyalty and affection among those who appreciated his unusual gifts” and was “unfailingly generous with his time and expertise, especially toward younger recruits”
He was kind, he was kind, HE WAS KIND, he was kind
he was kind and geeky and awkward and gay, I don’t care if the whole of society doesn’t find that compelling, I don’t care if we don’t value kindness as an attribute in men, he deserved to be loved and respected as he was, not as we wish he was
I am so sorry Alan Turing, I am so sorry your story was not told with care and thoughtfulness, I am so sorry you didn’t get to be shown to be deeply in love with the men you loved, I am sorry your great and terrible tragedy was never unfolded as a kind and brilliant man abused by a horrible homophobic system
You are a hero that turned the tides of history like no other and I am so sorry
hey op if you’re looking for a kinder movie about alan turing, you should check out breaking the code (1996). breaking the code was originally a stage play, and this is a filmed adaptation. it’s more faithful to his personality, stars derek jacobi (who was also a gay man and plays the part with so much sympathy), and it doesn’t bungle historical details for the sake of adding more drama. here’s a link to a youtube playlist where you can watch it in full

one of my favourite things in The Two Towers is the dynamic Théoden and Aragorn have going on
Aragorn is completely calm but constantly on the edge of going completely berserk, Théoden is downtrodden and resigned to doom but trying to look tough for the sake of inspiring his men
Aragorn thinks they should take the fight to the orcs (surprise surprise) but defers to Théoden's judgment in all things because Théoden's in charge, all through the battle of Helm's Deep he's the one giving the orders and Aragorn's just doing what he can to make it work
Théoden's all "we're gonna go out in a hail of glory" and Aragorn's like "okay but how about instead of us going out, we just kill everyone else and survive, how about that"
Théoden's resigned to lose but determined to do it with honour and glory, meanwhile losing is not an option for Aragorn because too many people would die
so Aragorn tries to imbue his own strength into some random lad's sword as if he can somehow will the boy to survive, and possibly nobody has ever said "there is always hope" with so much ferocity and determination
and then it's battle time and he goes into Aragorn Berserker Mode (tm) and it's so good, this man catches hold of a thirty-foot ladder and kicks off from the wall and just rides it all the way down to the ground, crashing down on top of a bunch of orcs with a yell and proceeding to stab as many as he can reach (leaping down on top of a horde of enemies is one of Aragorn's favourite strategies and the most ridiculous thing about this is that it works)
he sneaks out the side of the keep and jumps across with Gimli and the two of them hold off the entire battalion of orcs that's attacking the main doors
THEN they've been driven back to the hall and the orcs are swarming the keep and there's one door left between them and death, and while Legolas and Gimli and the men are trying to shore up the doors with the furniture, Aragorn's like "I've got an idea: let's just ride out into them and mow them all down"
and Théoden's like "a final suicide run you say, sounds awesome, I'm in"
and Aragorn's like "wait what, suicide run, wtf are you talking about this is a regular Tuesday for me"
he's got such a wild half-crazy brand of optimism and just steamrolls over Théoden's attempts to be pessimistic the same way he steamrolls over the orcs' attempts to kill him, with sheer force of will

Star Wars Prequels, but Anakin’s fuck off high level of power in the force means that his will can actually directly impact reality. Just think about it for a minute.
I saw a version of it somewhere where Anakin thinks of Obi-Wan as his dad and the Force is like, “Congratulations Master Kenobi, the Temple healer just did a new DNA scan and that half feral disaster child is now half biologically yours. Yeah they know it didn’t look anything like that 2 years ago. No we can’t tell you why….”
Well same principal, but imagine it applied to Anakin’s thoughts on Palpatine. Anakin is convinced Palpatine is not a Sith Lord and is actually just a benevolent grandfather-type with his best interests at heart who’s doing his best for the galaxy? What do you know, war is over, massive healthcare reforms and humanitarian initiatives go in to effect. Palms starts inexplicably wearing tweed and passing out space candy and pinching peoples cheeks talking about things that happened “in his day”. Anakin is returned from bi-weekly visits with fresh haircuts and pockets full of the Space equivalent of Butterscotch candy because this is how Anakin pictures grandads based on holovids. The public does not knows why. Palpatine does not either.
The galaxy is safe and the force is balanced because of Anakin.
Chosen one Prophecy? Nailed it
