lots of bad things have happened to colt over the years but one of the top ten worse things to ever happen to colt seavers was the day he brought his twin to set for the first time and watched him flirt with tom ryder. it was even made worse by the fact that tom ryder looked flustered? like not even fake flustered, that's tom fucking ryder sheepishly smiling and oh my god he's blushing as ryland says something and then ryland hands tom his business card and tom lights up like it's christmas and immediately takes out his phone to put ryland's number in.

and when ryland comes over to him and asks why he's choking the life out of his coffee cup colt just says they'll talk about it later.

(meanwhile tom has ryland's contact as "future mr ryland ryder" and has texted him fifteen times with random things and asking if ryland wants to get dinner.)

Something something... plotline that Tom Ryder is hosting the next Oscars, something something... shortly before the actual day he has a whole breakdown/realization of who he has become as a person and his persona he's always playing, something something... he has this realization how he hates everything he's become and is playing (the mask of Tom Ryder that he always wears), something... he does host the Oscar's but is visibly shattered and a bit of a mess in a bunch of the transitional bits/readouts throughout the show...

And then steals a moment to make a speech that starts with what he's meant to say but he suddenly goes off script and opens up about things, about himself or what he thinks is himself. People think he's just high or incredibly drunk but he takes off his sunglasses at one point to wipe his eyes (he's started to cry on stage) and he starts to call out the industry and how he's been treated and has been treating people within it. How everything about their jobs is fake, and how the real heroes that deserve to be on stage are the ones you never get to see on stage at all. (Bro does get cut mid rant off of live TV, the Oscars don't play man) Gimme Tom Ryder who actually gets fucked over by the industry after this absolute trainwreck for finally realizing how awful he's been along with everyone else. Everyone big in this industry enables it, to shit on everything and everyone who helps them get there.

Gimme Tom Ryder who was this huge acting star for a decade but doesn't act anymore. Hollywood hates his ass. He moves to San Fran and marries Ryland Grace (yes this is starstruck #imnotsorry). Do people see my vision. I want more AU's out of this universe c'mon!!! Let Tom Ryder fail miserably and have everyone around him leave him hanging. Also all this to say I want a whole thing of how Gail built him up, made him the king that is his brand but now he's ruined EVERYTHING for her and she's absolutely trying to kill his ass. I love psycho Gail you're my favorite.
