I believe in every country’s right to maintain an immigration system, including the countries belonging to the black and brown people who some people seem to think live in a magical, pacifistic fairy land where borders don’t exist. There are far lefties who seem to think that these governments hold hands and sing We Are The World or some shit rather than defending their borders like any other functioning country.

How do we become so far removed that we believe that western countries are the only places who typically don’t want random strangers waltzing in? I want to climb inside the mind of a rad left who is so dead set on infantalizing foreigners that they can’t fathom the notion that they too have functioning brains, and within those brains is the ability to understand that letting random people into your house can have catastrophic consequences.

Can we talk about how the term mana, a spiritual concept in many Oceanic cultures, has been bastardized to "magic power juice" by all of... not even Western culture, because Japanese media does it too. Just everyone outside of the cultures the term actually comes from, and they don't even recognize it as appropriation, let alone give any credit to the cultures the term came from, or attempt depicting those cultures in the works where they use this appropriated term...

not 2 be fake deep about kingdom hearts on main but like… ofc it’s bonkers, and funny, and irrational, but it’s so deeply validating? emotions are given physical form, they’re respected and dealt with. kh doesn’t hide the emotional arcs behind the fighting - the fighting is just a backdrop to the emotional arcs. there’s something so incredibly calming abt watching the soriku reunion in kh2 and seeing sora fall to his knees out of shock and love and riku being taken aback that he’s being unconditionally forgiven…. there’s something so precious and safe abt all of ddd where riku is finally expressing his feelings….. like I can’t explain it but after watching all of this other media where ppl repress their feelings and use violence instead it’s just such a fucking relief to see ppl communicating love and not being punished for that
