MASTERPOST UNDER CONSTRUCTION AS I TRY TO MAKE IT BETTER

I don't need the chatgpt random algorithm to write emails for me because I already have a custom and 100% flawless algorithm called "writing the exact same three emails with the names changed"
#1: "hi [landlord], hope you're doing well! [apartment thing] is [broken/a problem]. we need it [fixed/replaced/handled] by [date]. let us know when you'll send someone over so we can be here to let them in. thanks so much, [op]"
#2: "hi [professor], hope you're doing well! unfortunately, I'm [sick/stuck at work/dead] and won't be able to submit [assignment] by [due date]. could I please have an extension? if not, is there anything else I could do to make up this credit? thanks so much, [op]"
#3: "hi [customer service person], hope you're doing well! unfortunately, [product] [didn't arrive/is broken/wrong color/gave me a rash/poisoned my crops] and I'd like to receive a [refund/replacement]. here is the documentation of the order and photos of [broken thing/wrong thing/my rash/dead crops]. thanks so much, [op]"
"but op I work in an office I have to write way more emails than you" well that's your fault for working in an office i got nothing to do with that
Writing an email is so easy and I will tell you how it's done. This is the advice is for everyone with an email job, but you can apply it to normal human interaction.
The FIRST SENTENCE is the thing you want the recipient to do. Do not make them guess.
I want to let you know about ... (This email is to inform someone of something not to ask them to do anything)
Could you please do ... (This is a request. You want them to do something).
I'm looking into x and wondering if you can help me (this is also a request but for information instead of an action).
People do not want to read an email and even if they do read it, most people are skimming and not interested. Tell them what you want first, then provide context or other information (when you need a thing is often key). If the email is informational, you can even add "you don't need to do anything, this is just to keep you informed!" People will appreciate not having to figure out what you want from them.
If you can't articulate what you want the recipient to do with the message, you are not ready to email them. I read too many emails where I have no idea what the person wants from me.
Put the most important thing first and everyone will be impressed! AI cannot do this for you because it can't tell what's important! Only you know that, which is why you must write your own emails.
to everyone who wants help with emails: go through the notes of this post. there are ideas I've never thought of and plenty of scripts for all kinds of situations/jobs
it’s really interesting how the guys that fight against paying child support the hardest are the ones that could afford to do it. these dudes will quit their well paying salaried job with benefits just to avoid their pay getting docked and potentially going to reimburse the mother of their child for buying their kid new shoes. they’ll leave their child without health insurance and work under the table jobs because they really hate their child and former S/O that much.
men who have been conditioned to believe that having kids and caring for them is somehow emasculating
they swear it is a man’s role to provide and protect but they’re going out of their way to deprive and endanger
They believe that their role is to provide and protect the ones they choose to; it's not a responsibility (though they'll frame it like it is to sound better), but a power that they hold over others. Child support is emasculating because they see it as being forced to provide for someone who isn't "theirs" any more. They don't see it as supporting a child that they have ongoing responsibility for, because they believe that they should have the right to withdraw that responsibility at any time; they believe that unconditional responsibility for a child is the woman's role. They see it as being financially cucked.
I can't find the post but there's this one post that's like "aging is less than 1% as terrifying as whatever the fuck is going on with people desperately trying not to age"
That but with weight.
Getting or being fat is less than 1% as terrifying as whatever the fuck is going on with people desperately trying to not be fat.
four trans people walk into a movie theater …
Reminds me of EEAAO.
Yoooo I just wanna let everyone know that for the next month I will have limited/no access to tumblr due to being not home and in a place who banned tumblr. I'll still publish any fanfic I writre and I will have access to discord (which is the same as my url) so I won't be offline but just not on tumblr which ngl is probably good for the brain anyway
what are you wearing rn and is it representative of your style
idk guys sometimes you just have to accept a ship dynamic is unhealthy, insane, and sometimes abusive. and its not real people so those factors just make it interesting
please stop unfolding the origami crane and smoothing it out bc you got worried the paper was hurting from the bends
okay see i don't want to be a dick because i'm not saying you're entirely wrong- showing abusive relationships and clarifying that they're abusive in media does help people recognize abuse in real life. it's probably a really good thing to include in media aimed at kids or 'family viewing'. but that's not what my post is about and it's not the only reason to write abusive fucked up relationships, and acting like it is flattens stories in a way that is ultimately really bad. and you're completely misinterpreting my post if you think the point of it was sometimes we should include Bad Relationships so Kids At Home Will Know Its Bad.
my point was that sometimes it is interesting to read about or write about really weird unhealthy relationships. not educational.
I don't think an author should have to preface their gothic horror with "and of course, fucking a guy whos secretly your cousin and maybe killed your mom is bad and i disavow". i don't think every fanfic that decides to make the love interest a rapist should end with "and he goes to jail, because that was a Bad Thing to Do, and the victim of his behavior went to therapy and got help dealing with the ramifications".
It's fictional. It's not real. It's not a PSA. sometimes the point is to deconstruct the viewpoint of a rapist who doesn't know they're a rapist. sometimes it's exploring how codependent two characters can get if you put them in a jigsaw trap and tie their legs together. sometimes the point is the author thinks it's sexy to imagine getting fucked at knifepoint. sometimes its literally just this:
and all of that is awesome, actually.
or to put it much much shorter and continue the metaphor of the original post.
please stop demanding an artist justify why they'd make an origami tiger and that they better publicly state they know that real tigers are dangerous. that the only reason to make an origami tiger is so that you can show it to people so they know what a tiger looks like and they know they're dangerous so they never go near a real tiger!
we can't possibly be in the back half of june 2026 we really can't be

why are people reblogging this again
this post is like 11 years old
WHY AREYALL DOING THIS
We’re all having a midlife crisis leave us be
Don't use AI to write. Use cocaine like a real author.
Cocaine is ridiculously expensive...so is AI for that matter. I just use maladaptive daydreaming and lucid dreaming
I've tried using a gas leak in my home but this, unfortunately, does not help.
some of you need to stop engaging with these characters as though they’re real life people who are being abused by the writers i’m so serious
all movies are for children because the moving image is inherently juvenile. to be entertained by it even moreso
did we like, all forget about telling jokes
its gigglebait. its hehebait

Boom Silver should get to have the silliest, over-the-top anime boy energy. Every word that comes out of his mouth is spoken at top volume and with big fancy words. He's overly enthusiastic about everything and monologues in every fight like a Death Note character. He's also surprisingly easily to redirect WILL go on a long rant about something else if you bring it up while fighting him, extending the conflict for WAY too long while no actual fighting gets done. Him and Knuckles could yap for hours. Then he'll be like 'WAIT A MINUTE YOU SLY DOG YOU GOT ME MONOLOGING' and throw him halfway across the island with his mind powers
