The expression on Buck's face morphs into something unexpectedly pained before he tightens it, determination taking its place. "I'm not dating if you're not dating, Eddie."
"Buckā¦I'm not trying to shackle you to me." Eddie sighs.
Hurt flashes across Buck's face, so quickly Eddie's not sure he didn't imagine it.
"Then what are you trying to do?" Buck bites back, sharply. His mouth settling into an unhappy line and an accusatory glint in his eyes.
That knocks Eddie back a bit. He wasn't expecting Buck to get offended by that, but thinking about it, he supposes that's something Buck wants ā to be tied down to Eddie, because he's in love with him and love makes people irrational.
Eddie stares at Buck, dumbly, as he tries to formulate a reply to his question.
