Yes, let us all worry about a damn costume. Cause that’s the world’s BIGGEST issue.

Wars, bombs, dictatorships, a general economy crisis, people dying of starvation worldwide… But the fact a football player painted his skin and put on a wig for a party is what all of the bored millennials need to focus on.

*It’s not tasteful, I wouldn’t do it, but come on.

**The only point I was trying to make was the following:

Priorities are not in place.

An attack occurs in a country most people probably can’t even find on a map. It’s one of those places that doesn’t concern the “modern world”. Hundreds lose their lives. And guess what? No media coverage. At best, it shows up in some 10 second long “News of the World” segment, after which if you payed attention you can conclude how it’s all a tragedy, after which you speedily move on to doing whatever you’ve been doing earlier.

BUT if a random player pulls of a stunt like this, the millennials go batshit crazy. It becomes a viral scandal that gets more airtime for days than your disaster of choice. THAT’s the problem.

Yes, we can focus on racism, starvation and lack of taste all at once. As we should. Except most people don’t. Instead they chose to latch onto “celeb” stories like this one.

As people are losing everything on a daily basis, without anyone giving a fuck I wonder how many first worlders are getting offended by that. Not many.
