whether everything trump said was a scam & for attention so he would win the election or not. the damage caused by aftermath & the hate crimes that he has fuelled is irreversible. yes, I’m happy about what he said in regards to trans bathroom laws but nothing will forgive the pain & fear he has caused. I really hope that it was only for votes. I really do but I wouldn’t bet my money on it. nothing will ever make up for the suffering & months of pain & hate crimes fuelled by his disgusting mouth. he can’t ever take back what he’s done to POC, LGBTQ+, disabled, immigrants, refugees & women.

I just want to say that Trump appears to be backtracking on some of his more egregious promises already, and I truly hope that he continues this trend. But as he shifts even slightly to the center, there is a great chance we’ll see even more anger arise from his supporters for not getting what they want. So, I need all the people taking to the streets today to hold onto that anger and that militant spirit– ESPECIALLY white, non-Jewish, cis, straight, able-bodied people. Even if your rights remain in tact on paper, the spirit of white supremacy and fascism has breached the surface in this country and it’s not going to fade before it flares. Continue to fight for the vulnerable even when you’re not among them.

I’m so serious. This political climate has created a safe space for literal fucking neo-Nazis. The Klan is marching in the state where I’m staying. This goes beyond laws. They’re not going to give a fuck what Trump does or does not put his signature on. They have connected over this. They have bonded over this. They have strengthened over this. They have been validated over this. Even if he magically turned out to be the most progressive president we ever had, that wouldn’t keep marginalized groups safe from these white terrorist groups. It would probably just make them angrier. Do not abandon us.
