High School Decides Against Suspending Football Player For Peaceful Protest

This brave student decided to take a knee during the anthem just like Colin Kaepernick because of the injustice and police violence. 

Later he tweeted that his coaches and principals have decided to suspend him for one game for that. 

What they didn’t realize is that it is against the law to suspend a student for exercising his constitutional right, so they just need to get over it.

Doherty Memorial High School superintendent Maureen Binienda said Monday that suspending a student for a peaceful protest is “against the law,” according to Worcester’s Telegram & Gazette, and that she would speak with Oppong’s coaches and make sure they understand he cannot be punished for silently protesting.

Never try to stop people who are acting within the law.  All of us have the same rights, the same constitution.
