An amazing gift came our way from the almighty @thebandghost. Massive donation to our cause with stage played guitars, dressing room warm up amps, strings and straps! Big love to Tobias and the entire Ghost camp for this. It means the world to myself, the instructors and all of our rock star students. Thank you! 🤘🏻👻🙏🏻

This, right here, is one of the reasons why I love Tobias, and this band. Just... above and beyond, every single time. 💜
Former host speaks on stupid origin discourse bullshit, something that caused real tangible conflict and damage both within our system and in our physical outward life
(Also the iPod thing is only half accurate, that was just our first outwardly noticeable host exchange)
Happy one year to my favorite intro for an Impulse stream ever!
(From Metro Munchies, 6/30/2025)
Skizz: [mumbling] Wait—no—but this isn't right.
[He gets up and leaves, and Impulse darts into his seat.]
Impulse: [chipper] What's up, everybody? [laughs heartily] How you guys doin'? [laughs] Were you guys like "wait, what stream did I click on?" [softer laughter] How you guys doin'? Good to see ya.
Impulse: Skizz was just over in the studio—you guys got confused [trailing off into giggles]—Skizz was over in the studio grabbing some stuff. He just stopped in for a second, I was like "I'm about to go live!" and he's like "...I have an idea." [laughs]—
I have so many feelings about the fact that Pups got to tour the Silo. The way she broke away from Skizz on an impulse (teehee) to go see what her friend built. The awed silence as she took in the scale of the thing. The smile as she poked at things she’d seen Impulse install in a video or on stream and finally got to interact with herself.
Impulse isn’t even here, but you can feel through the screen how much she loves him. This moment is the perfect encapsulation of the fact that she doesn’t just see Impulse as “my husband’s friend”. He’s her friend too. She wants to see what he’s been working on. She wants to walk around in the structure he built. She wants to be there. She’s probably seen his videos for years, but now that she’s a Minecraft player herself, she’s beginning to understand just how much work goes into designing and supplying and executing projects on this scale and she is understandably floored.
The Silo is huge. Even in its unfinished state, it is a massively impressive piece of virtual art that represents countless hours of work. It’s easy to forget that when you watch Impulse’s videos and streams, because he’s chill about it. He puts a lot of focus on what’s left to do and often glosses over the busywork. He’s built huge things before. It’s old hat to him. He’s too busy worrying about the next thing and the things that have gone wrong to think about how far he’s already come.
But Pups is an average Minecraft player. Pups hasn’t been doing this for a living for a decade. Pups is like us. Could she build something like this? Maybe. If you give her a few years, sure. But not yet. This sort of thing is still out of her reach. And she’s looking around at this jaw-dropping structure and realizing that her friend did this and I understand why she just goes quiet with awe.
I hope he gets to see this. I hope he gets to see her reaction to the things he built. I hope it puts a little more wind in his sails to see someone he cares about genuinely awestruck by his work. I hope it motivates him to throw his shoulder to the wheel and finish this season out strong because what he’s doing is ridiculously impressive, and it’s worth finishing it well.
Ok hi, have gay Impera ghouls ! I meant to post this in June for pride month but that didn’t happen but hey, it never stops being pride 🏳️🌈 :D
Also this gave me a chance to make some ghoul designs so I did have a lot of fun with that.
(Side note sorry that the picture is a bit small I didn’t think about formatting until I was half way through 😭)
Left to right (plus my thoughts) under the cut.
Swiss (I love the color in his hair though I do want to shake up his design a little more, how though I’m not 100% sure.)
Cumulus (she’s simple but I am so happy with the gradient of her hair and the cloud like horns.)
Aurora (I’m so happy with her design oh my gosh, though I want to find a way to make her look more alien.)
Aether (No notes I love that man) and Phantom (I love his split tail) on his shoulders
Rain (Rain’s design I changed a little because I didn’t realize just how close my design was to @charlies-a-thief design so I switched it up a little, focusing more so on the element of water rather than a specific aquatic species like I did last time and I am very happy with it.)
Mountain (he was the second biggest change in character design as he is now green- well partly. I still wanted to keep a deer-ish design, but instead I tried to focus on wood and the moss that grows on it.)
Dewdrop (His design changed a little too, I turned him into a koi fish, and his horns and tail are supposed to be bone. Also when I kept looking up references of the ghouls together to get their heights, I thought it would be really funny if mountain got too excited and dew got lifted up.)
Sunshine (I had no design for her so it was fun to come up with one and I really do love what I did, mainly her horns to mimic that of the sun. For her face markings I was inspired by ahsoka tano’e design from starwars)
Cirrus (She’s red! Probably an unpopular choice but I came across a video on Instagram where a person has black a red pain on and it just gave cirrus vibes idk why. I gave her elements of a cardinal, mainly her tail and the darkened part of her face. I also did the blue just cause it looked nice.)
Anywho I’m gonna go back to the void now but you guys have a good rest of your day and have a good pride, all year, every year!
Before their separation, Copia and Perpetua lived in a circus under the care of Marika and the troupe. They loved watching the performances, and afterwards, secretly borrowing stage costumes and black-and-white makeup, they would retreat to their wagon and put on their own shows.
Exhausted, the twins would forget to return the items and fall asleep, cuddling close to each other, so that even in their dreams they would be together. 💜
keep thinking about how I wrote in my dissertation about how every time a new form of public/social space emerges it's immediately popular with kids and teenagers who see it as a chance at freedom and then adults colonise it and kick them out. this happened with malls in the 80s and diners in the 50s and pool halls in the 20s. my dad was doing research on this trend in like 1975. and I was like "yeah so this is going to happen to the internet" and then five years later every government suddenly decided to ban kids from everywhere online. I hate being right especially when I don't even get paid for it
