"Link.. I know this will sound strange and impossible, but, I knew your ancestor, the hero of time. I was hoping I could get to know you and be better friends with you than he and I were? It's a long story.." The pale redheaded woman said gently.

The hero paused his work with the goats, having not heard the woman walk up beside him. Straightening his posture, his eyes widened a split moment, someone other then he, Zelda and Ganon knew of his ancestors? It seemed… almost impossible in his mind, perhaps she has time traveled?

He let out a small sigh, eyes averting in the slightest, as if thinking of his options. “…I…. well…. What is your name ma’am?” He hesitantly asked, not knowing at all who this woman was. “And I have plenty of time for you to explain, so long as you do not mind me tending to the goats as you do” He suggested, a small smirk to his lips.

((Okay, so I started college yesterday >///< It’s really cool, but I think I might have to turn this blog into a strict ask blog for a while, because I am finding it very difficult to get to drafts at the moment, maybe I will do some on the weekends, not all, but I will definitely answer asks guys. I know, kind of boring, but until I get the hang out things, it’s going to be super super slow with threads and I don’t want to do that to you guys!))

Scribbling it down quickly, they got her drink and handed it back to him in no time. Link smirked, giving her the cup that sprawled ‘MINTY’ on the front. “Have a great day~”

13. Crying

Upon hearing footsteps approach him, the Hylian quickly attempted to hide the flow of tears that streamed down his cheeks. He sniffed away any oncoming tears, turning slightly to see who has spoken to him as he sat on the grass in front of his home.

“O-Oh.... Hello, u-umm.... i-is there anything I can help y-you with?” He asked, wiping away some tears from his cheek, but keeping his head low so the other couldn’t see..

Elsa was a bit confused. She’d never seen anyone quite like this man.. He had strangely pointy ears.. And he was dressed funny.. “Um.. Hello, I’m queen Elsa, and you are?”

A queen? Link thought, unable to quite register the scenery of everything just yet, and now all of a sudden he was meeting royalty. He knew this was a stretch for him to travel away from Hyrule, being at Zelda’s orders, but he didn’t expect to see very many places with royalty. “Ah, pardon me your majesty. My name is Link, royal knight and resident of Hyrule, it is nice to meet you” He greeted with a light bow.

| She held out a a bag, holding out her lunch. She could help but smile, seeing as he seemed to be hungry. She had filled up on apples too, so she couldn’t finish her lunch. |

The hero lightly chuckled, finally accepting the woman’s offer of some of her lunch. Taking the back from her, he smiled widely. “That is very kind of you, really, to offer food to someone you just met.” He praised her, nodding his head. “My name is Link, by the way, just so we aren’t too much of strangers”

     “You’ll take your chances, like you’re gonna be the one BLEEDING OUT BECAUSE AN ARROW GOT RI-” The arrow was pulled from her shoulder, which effectively shut her up, leaving only a pained gasp behind.     She closed her eyes tight, turning her head away from him and her wound. She kept quiet then, letting him do whatever he needed to her arm. Her complaining wasn’t going to get her anywhere now, it had already been done and there was no going back. Hopefully she wasn’t going to die of blood loss– if she did she swore she’d be haunting the fuck out of him for at least a year.

Once he was sure the clothe was wrapped securely around her wound, attempting not to laugh at her behavior towards this, he sighed and let go of her arm. The wound wasn’t too bad really, yes it was bleeding, but he was sure once they made it to Kakariko Village, Renaldo will patch her up better and give her medicine to heal properly.

“Heh, alright. Seeing as how you are not dead, do you want to head over to Kakariko Village now?“ He asked with a small smirk, standing up and holding out a hand to help her up.

The silence between them was nice, and Sheik took the opportunity to look around the landscape as they passed it. He couldn’t do much, his face nearly touching Link’s back when he looked forward, but the Sheikah had strong peripherals. He was able to enjoy what little he could see in the meantime.

And of course Link gathered the courage to speak, eventually. This was something Sheik had expected, and so he only hummed inquisitively when Link began with a stutter. He couldn’t see Link’s blush, or his white knuckles, but it was obvious he was uncomfortable with what he was saying.

And Sheik had a very similar reaction to Link’s words; he hesitated, jaw clenching with discomfort. While it was obvious that Link had meant no harm in his question, Sheik was caught off-guard by it, and his immediate reaction was to simply leave. But in such close proximity to Link and to Epona, slipping into the Shadow Realm may cause damage to them, which Sheik most certainly did not want. His body went rigid and tight as he thought of a response.

     “I hide something from everyone,” he said. “In fact, I hide most things from everyone.” It didn’t matter that he was from Hyrule’s past, or anything else Link may want to know. None of it was important, in the grand scheme of things. “The whole point of being a Sheikah is to have secrets.”

He knew it was a stretch, to ask such a question so personal to the Sheikah. In turn, he should have thought before he asked, but in a different light, he just noticed all of these, feeling like the man was keeping something vital from him. It was a hunch to say the least, but it was there, and knowing himself in situation such as this in the past, he knew to always trust his gut.

His thumb nails played with the leather of the strap connected to the reigns on Epona, eyes looking from tree to bush to dirt road, trying to figure out what to say next. This was a touchy subject, and in some aspects he regrets asking it, but he needed to keep his ground at this point. Taking a deep breathe in, letting it out slowly, he decided to go on.

“Y-Yes... I know... But, I don’t necessarily see why?...” Another sigh, he needed to figure out how to word this. “Alright, I guess what I am getting at is... I have this gut feeling that this secret you are keeping from me, is very important, and very big... As if you know more about Hyrule’s past then, well, Princess Zelda herself” He shrugged, continuing to play with the leather.

☤- One of our muse’s is hurt.

Link strolled down the steps of the entrance to Castle Town, a light smile on his lips from previously spending some of his day in Telma’s Bar with his friends, chatting away while eating lunch. Now he decided to head back to Ordon Village.

As he stepped on the grass and walked over to Epona, taking her reigns in his hand and started to walk down the path, but he paused, noticing something a few feet away near a tree. Squinting slightly, he saw it was a girl, hunched over and with one leg close to her chest. He urged Epona to walk with him, closer to the girl, he noted she had a large cut on her knee.

“Oh…” He mumbled, walking closer to her, in hopes of not startling her. “Miss? Are you okay? Do you need any help?” He asked, feeling concern for her now as he knelt down to her level on the ground.

What an artist? Why would he hire an artist dont they have a camera or something? But then again this town sure is different from the villages I visited. “ Really are you sure ?”sounding a little surprised. “Well  if you are certain?”Now to find a place where I can get information and maybe a job while I wait to see if they have any information on Aoi.After all Hyrule is a pretty big country it might take some time before anything comes up. “Um Sir Link you wouldn’t happen to know a place where I can get a job ?After all who knows how long it will be until some information comes up so might as well find a place to stay for the mean time.” Even thought I don’t plan to stay in one place for too long. “By the way what is the currency for Hyrule?”

The blond let out a small chuckle, nodding his head. “Of course, it’s no trouble at all! I’m happy to help!” He knew what it was like to lose someone dear to him, he had lost several actually. So to him, he wanted to be sure they could find this person, no matter what cost. He just hoped this person was in the vicinity of Hyrule.

His blue eyes blinked in confusion, not expecting her to ask of such a question as a job of all things. Tapping his chin, he thought of some options. “Ah, well, I could probably talk to Telma about it, she may be able to give you a job for a while. Heh, she is really sweet, you’ll love her!” Her turned back to the other, almost forgetting she was actually a foreigner and didn’t know of their customs. “Our currency here is Rupees, they look like this…” He pulled out a few from his money pouch “Green Rupees are 1, Blue is 5, Yellow is 10, Red is 20, purple is 50, Orange is 100 and Silver is 200. Confusing I know, but you’ll get the hang of it”
