This dickhead is refusing to return them on time unless my sister pays for their return ticket even though per the court order he's supposed to pay for all travel.
The oldest is starting college and needs to be back in time for orientation and the middle one wants to go to band camp.
The fact that this asshole still gets to take them out of state despite having failed to return them on time before and despite his abuse is horrible but that's the family courts for you.
Return tickets are $956 and as much as I'd love to cover the whole thing I can only cover about $200 max.

I fear being evicted mostly because this is the best school district for my sonās special needs.. and if we are evicted Iām at the mercy of a school system that are notorious for mistreatment of special needs children. For some reason, gofundme decided to preset a goal that was under what we need, but hopefully what we have is enough for a good show of effort for my landlady (who is a godsend, sheās been so patient and working with us all she can).
However, there are still necessities that need paying, I have a week of cell service and itās off again and wonāt be able to check benefits status(& I shutter to look at my electric bill). I hate to keep asking for more when times are soooo hard right now.

It's extremely hard to find housing in this village, and I need to keep my son in his school; it's truly the best place for him, and he's actually making progress. I hate to keep asking, but i can't even begin to scratch the surface.
The benefits are still on hold, too.

A Mischief of Rats: A Beginner Friendly Modding Server

It's live!!! I made a new discord server for modding and that will also be where I talk about/post my mods (don't worry I'll still post them everywhere else too!). I made it for two reasons:
1. I abhor pretension and impatience. We were all beginners once, we were all looking for someone kind to help us out. I've straight up asked questions in the main modding discord for other people before because they were either intimidated or have had bad experiences. Modding is a fun hobby and the barrier to entry for this game should not include social connections.
2. I'm going to be working on some monochrome repacks and a. don't want to bother everyone else because it's going to be a lot and b. want to give more lovely people that aren't in the other servers I'm in a chance to take new pics for my mods!!!
I am selective about who gets invited due to my uh let's call it notoriety. So DM me if you'd like an invite!

I'm the ultimate arbitrator.
1. No lionizing/glazing/excessive compliments of me or other modders if you legitimately would not talk like that to any old friend. We are just human beings. We are fallible. I, specifically, kind of suck sometimes actually! This isn't because I don't appreciate the sentiment but because I find it can breed cliques and secret social rules. Just be normal about how much you like something someone does lol.
2. There are no cliques. There are no secret social rules.
3. Be nice OR ELSE. No bigotry of any kind. We work to unlearn our cultural biases and stereotypes here, not perpetuate them. I **will** be a bitch about it.
4. Server is invite only and I get the final say on who gets in (which is funny considering the number of people I'm in a mutual hateship with but that's why I get the final say innit)
4a. You might lose friends if they see you tagging me or taking pics for my mods because people are fuckin weird but that's also why I'm selective.
5. Knowing how to read is not a requirement for modding actually! If I catch you being pretentious or condescending when someone asks for help (and it's not regular resting bitch keyboard like me) YA DONE. This is a BEGINNER MOD FRIENDLY SPACE.
5a. To that same end, don't be self-deprecating, apologizing for asking questions or if you're having trouble understanding something. The first one especially gets old quick. Get yourself some self-esteem babe, you're worth it.

This Meta Monday, weāre spotlighting āWhat Fandom Racism Looks Like: Beige Blank Slatesā, an essay by Stitch posted to their website in 2019. It covers the largely disproportionate focus on white male characters, and the inclination to consider them blank slates, occurring within Western media fandoms.
The essay explains that blank slates are not problematic on their own, and have the potential for good within transformative fandom. The issue is the tendency to brush aside women and characters of color, no matter if they are part of the main cast or blank slates themselves. Stitch adds that white maleness is considered āneutralā and āapoliticalā. Meanwhile, characters of color are never viewed through that lens.
She provides examples from multiple fandoms, and outlines the popular fanon traits given to white male characters, even when they are not truly underdeveloped in canon. A call to action concludes the essay: for fandom to meaningfully engage with characters of color, changing the broader trends that surround blank slates.
