Today's session: 31/3/15 5km in 24min 30sec 2x150m strides
March on
Well what a month.... First session of the month and I strain a calf forcing me to take a couple of weeks out, and then my boss is off work so I pick up the slack meaning I do not have time to train as much as I would like. I know of athletes who have already started competing and I have not even put in a pair of spikes yet. I have had a look at the open time tables for the year and I think I will probably race early June. This gives me 10 weeks to get race fit, so it is time to start speeding up. Today's session : 29/3/15 30mjn spin Including 4x1min lv 20 90+rpm and 1x 2min 30 secs lv 15 80+rpm.
Post run snack: Kale ham spring onion and garlic Today's session: 23/3/15 800m jog Stretch 800m jog Drill 2x60strides 3x200m in 28secs Walk back recovery 10min rest 1x400m in 72secs (36/36splits)

Today's session: 16/3/15 Gentle run with 3x1 min runs Calf is feeling good, 2weeks of active rest done now to get back to training. I'm going to be mixing it up a bit as life serves you up little reminders that we are not invincible . . .

Upper body session with Chris I have spent a lot o time reflecting on the splits from last nights session and I think I was being hard on myself. Although the splits were a couple of seconds slower than I had planned the recovery I was having was considerably less and I did more runs. Previous session rest has been 5, 6, 10,10 mins. Last night rest were 4, 4, 10, 4, 4, 10 so the short recovery had an effect on my pacing and how I ran each rep.

Today's session 26/2/15 800m jog Stretch Drill Stride 3x300 with 200 walk recovery 10min rest 3x300 with 200 walk recovery 15min rest 200m Joined a squad to train with session was longer than I had planned to do but it was good to train in the group. Difficult to pace the session.
Change
Today's session: 23/2/15 2.9miles in 22.56 My garmin was playing up missed the first 5mins of the run. Finished with a hill sprint. Definitely fitter but no faster...
Lift

Up and down
Today's session : 19/2/15 Attempted 3mile run got to 2mile and I had gone to fast too soon, Finish with a fast 800m after a 5 min rest.
Back on track
Today's session:16/2/15 800m jog Stretch hurdle walk overs strides 4x400 70sec, 6min rest 70secs 10min rest 72secs 10min rest 70secs puke. Max hr189 Hardest session this year.
Come up short
Today's session: 14/2/15 Aimed to run 3 miles quicker than last time which was run in 23.05 However went out to fast and had to stop at about 2.5 miles, walked on for about 1/4 mile and then did a fast 350m slightly up hill to finish.
Martial arts
Today's session: 11/12/15 1training one 2one with my sifu. 2 hours of teaching Vingtsun Had other work on aswell so I did not get to run tonight.

Work interval
