Is anyone gonna talk about how useless pads are for bigger girls and people who menstruate ? Having to buy ridiculously long pads or diapers and wearing them is the worse. Tampons are no good eigther.

It seems like pads and tampons are literally made for people who have a ridiculous tigh gap. The blood does not fall right through my uterus and straight onto the pad like dripping water. Its also not directly absorbed by a tampon that "deploy" inside and fully absorb like its a sponge (is it supposed to do that ?).

Sure I know women's health studies are always butched and menstrual products were not even tested with blood until recently, but I feel like it's tied with fatphobia also. My big thighs and fat coochie cannot let the blood "fall through" Even when I am relaxed, my thighs are closed and it simply squeezes out the blood in areas pads were not meant to cover.

Yeah, like I said there are diapers or extra long pads but they are annoying and way too thick all over. Also another problem : they are never availible, very few seems to be made compared to the small ones.

Ultimately, is it just me or no one ever told me growing up that i would need longer pads because of my bigger thighs. No one seems to know or think its worth mentionning.

Or maybe that's just me seeing too deep into this issue I always have. (Art by me)

i have 0 sympathy for thin people continuing to treat fatness as the worst thing that could ever happen to them and falling into this self pitying "oh my god i felt like a fat ugly loser 😭" shit all the time. there are much worse traits that you could have than my body type, such as the personality that you currently have in real life

Sure my blog is meant to advocate for fat liberation, fat people's rights, spread awareness (ect) but ...The MOST important part about creating this blog was to create a safe space and spread positivity for fat people like me.

do you know if there's a name for the trope in media where fat characters get overly associated with food? like they're always eating or hungry, it's always something sloppy and gross that they're like spilling on themselves or that leaves sauce on their mouths, they're talking while eating etc. even in things with more neutral or even generally positive rep of fat characters, there's still some tendency to have them in proximity to food. it's often made more glaring by the relative lack of food/eating by thinner characters. like you'll straight up never see certain characters eat in something but youll hardly see a fat character without food at least nearby yknow?

Oh I do know exactly what you mean. Unfortunately, I am not aware if theres is a name for that trope (to avoid it) per say but I do know I have seen it quite a few times. It's especially annoying since its often meant to be seen as being "funny", because the fat characters are almost always pushed into that role. The truth is it's just an harmful stereotype no one talks about. "If this person is fat its because she has to eat all the time right!?" it's just so wrong on so many lvl.

Hello everyone, I have not posted in a while! I thought I should make a positive post about my life : I recently got a new job !! I had been sick/unemployed for a few months. Things are looking up slowly for me :)

yes body positivity and peace and love for everyone and we shouldn't comment on peoples bodies However i'm tired. most nice and affordable clothing is made for skinny people, seat belts are made for skinny people, crash dummies are modeled after skinny people, doctors can and will ignore your health problems if you happen to be fat. hell, you can't even exist in your own body without someone saying you're "promoting obesity" meanwhile social media influencers with marketable eating disorders share their 0kcal recipes and that's just #fitness #healthylifestyle #girlboss. someone thinking a skinny person is attractive is just the default and no one questions it but god forbid someone wants to fuck a fat person, that must be a fetish. god forbid you're disabled and fat, must be your own fault. skinny people can just say its their metabolism and genetics but being fat should be a temporary state and gaining weight is the worst thing that can happen to you. i could keep going but maybe this is enough for now. just know that im tired and anyone who starts clowning on this post has to pay five euros to the nearest fat person.

Quick question, if fat bodies are not accepted as potential cadavers for medical students to study on then what are the consequences for that?

Fat people are dismissed medically and are told to lose weight before even getting a chance to be examined. While alive. Then are rejected for further study after death. How many people died and will die because medical professionals are missing potential problems that could be diagnosed?
