Basic Rules && Info
I am not going to censor myself. As such, this blog is 18+ ONLY. Minors- do not interact. Ageless and minor-run blogs will be blocked on sight.
This blog features both soulmate AUs and self-inserts. Every Optimus Prime variant is tied to a self-insert variant- and the worlds in question are canon divergent at their cores. As such, please do not assume your muse is from the same world/universe unless you have spoken to me OOC about it, first.
I will never accept unplanned/unplotted combat-based asks or threads. Please, always be sure to contact me OOC before trying to have a muse v. muse confrontation. I've had some bad experiences in the past, so I am very hesitant about entering combat without it being plotted OOC.
Please be careful about the topic of perma-death/the afterlife, with me. Unless we discussed it OOC (or I have ample warning), I will avoid the topic in threads.- This is because that concept is the main trigger for my panic attacks.
Always specify what Optimus Prime you're interested in if we haven't interacted before and you're sending an ask (if it's for an Optimus). This can be by either their title, or their verse variant.

“She does it all the time.” Light nodded. “Children in our world do this during their hide and seek games to prepare for when there may come a time when they need to escape a Swatbot patrol. Stay hidden until they can safely move to another location.”
Was this giving away more of their world’s dynamic, yes, but the Autobots had proven they were trustworthy. As had Ash and Raf, who the toddler was peeking at over the side of the table she sat on with her dah. Her tail wagged at the idea of all of them being able to play hide and seek.
“Why don’t we take turns hiding with Gibbous.” Another proposal before they got started. This would ensure the pup wouldn’t try to get at her bandages and that she wouldn’t try to move around too much. The pup looked over at him, listening for the full translation of everything that was being said. While she did give a pout, she soon nodded and pointed up.
“Gibbie wan hide wit Rash-it.” That settled that. Light gave a snort and picked the pup up, long enough to pass her off before jumping down from the table. For anyone else, it might have been dangerous, but the former soldier landed with a graceful roll and dusted off his jeans and jacket.
“I’ll do my seek when Gibbous wants to. That way, she won’t have to run around.”
"Ah...so, kinda-playin, kinda-trainin'." Ouch...they weren't going to comment all that heavily on the fact that it was apparently meant to prepare the kids for patrols, but...ow. What came to mind were a few older cartoons concerning the Sonic franchise...none of which had- good worlds. At least they were able to school their expression back.
Ratchet, for his part, paused- optics snapping down to the small mobian. He wasn't given much choice in the matter, given Light was picking her up and offering her out- and he wasn't of the processor to turn him down. He reached out, gently letting his digit tap against the magnet in the little one's vest- before drawing her close. She was set close to his pauldron, for the moment.
Once the game properly got underway, however, he planned to sneak her into his cabin. At least she'd be close, if anything went wrong. A mental note of Light's statement was made. That'd be easy enough- he could pass off Gibbous when the time came.
"The time should be set to at least ninety Earth seconds. That should be enough time for all of us to hide." A few glances went the medic's way.
"Ninety,...okay." Arcee lowered her helm, a servo raising to rub at her temple. "I'll turn off a few of my sensors to make the initial hiding fair."
"Time to scatter?" They were resisting glancing to one of the corridors. Arcee was big, but her scanners would certainly make it more difficult to hide...oh well. It was an excuse to explore!
They weren't...entirely certain how the 'bots would all hide.
Omega and Shadow seemed to share a glance at the whispered question. Neither were completely sure of the damage Jazz had endured, but a medic was most likely necessary. If only to assess how hurt she was. If anything, it looked like it would all be internal.
Shadow carefully moved to allow Omega to hold the teenager - mostly so his own arms didn't get tired holding her if they were there for a bit - before turning towards their new companions. "I am Shadow the hedgehog. Jasmine's father." He stated, a gentle glance given towards Jazz.
"I AM E-123 OMEGA." The robot introduced himself. "FAMILY COMPANION."
Shadow gave a snort of amusement before turning back to Orion. "Thank you for watching over her. I'm not sure how this happened, but I will not let it happen again."
No response,...but the two didn't seem anywhere near as worried as they'd been before. Orion vented atmosphere, willing his circuits to calm.
Jazz's sire...well. If his initial reactions hadn't made sense before (they had), they certainly did now. If anyone had taken a sparkling that was in Orion's care, he would've gone just a bit postal...
"You're welcome.- We weren't entirely sure what happened to bring her here, either...but I'm just glad you guys showed up." He wasn't sure how many more solar cycles Jazz could last...this planet was as toxic for organic life as it could get. The fact she'd lasted as long as she had was nothing short of a miracle. "And it's interesting to meet you both- just wish the circumstances could've been better."
Essentially threatening wasn't...exactly the best meeting form. But at least they'd not all come to blows. He'd take that win.
It crossed his processor that, in all likelihood...this was going to be the first and last time he would meet Shadow and E-123 Omega. Chances were, it would be the last he'd see of Jazz, as well. There would be little need for Omega to return (he wasn't entirely certain if the 'bot was running on an emotion inhibitor or what), and Shadow and Jazz couldn't without moderate risk to their health.
The thought had his EM Field dragging in, closer to his frame.
With her task done, the toddler was more than willing to be brought back down to sit with Ash. Her legs relaxed once she felt the fabric of their shorts on her paws, turning to face the steering wheel and balance on it with her hands. It gave her the sight of the ‘road’ ahead of them.
“No again.” She flicked her ears back and raised them. “Loud.”
Even though the chassis had muffled the sound of the horn, it was still loud to the pup’s ears. That wasn’t to say she wouldn’t want to do it again, just not right now when they were getting close to their destination.
Her tail wagged, gently swatting Ash in the stomach. It couldn’t be helped, she was so excited for their little adventure with Ash and Optimus out with her on a walk.
After a few more minutes of gentle pelting, Gibbous jumped back over to the passenger seat to look out the window. Light happy taps growing in intensity as the canyon walls grew to either side of them.
“Gibbie want out. Oppie walk.” Did it mean that every one step of his would be 20 or so steps for them, yes. But that was a small price to pay for them all to enjoy the bright sunshine. “Ash want out?”
"Fair 'nough." It had barely registered. Not in that it was sound, but...the pain of it- hadn't occurred to Ash at all. Let alone how loud it must've been for Gibbous. No doubt it was quieter in here than if the two were outside, but...still.
A few minutes passed in tranquil silence, broken only by the heavy tear of dust and pebbles under the Prime's tires- and the faint music Ash could just-barely detect coming from his radio. It would seem he'd selected a station to play from, but it was rather quiet. Compared to the sound of his entire frame, it may as well have been a small fly.
"It'd be nice t'stretch my legs, yeah." They weren't sure how long they could take direct sunlight out here. But- small price to pay. Optimus rolled to a slow stop, doors on either side clicking to allow the two their exit. "Freedom!" And yet, they still exclaimed like they'd been trapped in some box when their shoes hit the dusty ground below. They dashed a few feet away- giving Optimus ample room to transform.
The Prime waited until he was sure both organics were clear, before allowing himself to shift. Feeling the standard clicks and whirs as his frame was altered, as plating maneuvered about and his mechanics were displaced. In a few moments, his peds were resting in the dust- though the rest of his paint now had a faint layer of it.
"Please warn me if you begin to feel you are overheating." He'd not risk either suffering heatstroke. He shifted, allowing the faintest stretch of a leg strut. He couldn't get the joint to pop, but being able to move it more freely...was certainly welcome. The sun beat down from above, the walls of the canyon- and Optimus' shadow- the only reprieve from its burning embrace.
From what he'd been able to find, this canyon seemed to loop back on itself a few times...plenty of room for beings as small as Ash and Gibbous to explore, and with enough ground for him to dodge (whether in vehicle or bipedal form) if the three were attacked.
Ash was already moving, eyes on a nearby rock. It seemed small enough to climb without worry- and they admittedly just wanted to try it.
Fay looked up at as seeing some box that was picked up and placed in the dead center. What she could only assume were tissues she never knew tissues could even be used for situations such as these. The fairy numbly grabbed the tissue paper, ripping it in half of the process on accident before fay just stood silent staring at the paper in her hands as if it offended her.
Fay was uncannily silent besides her sniffling.
She hates this feeling. She hates not understanding it. She hates when things were complicated.
Ah. Ash internally flinched as the small one accidentally ripped a tissue in two. Admittedly, they hadn't thought she was that strong...
Thoughts that derailed at so simple a question. Fay- didn't- know what a 'boyfriend' was. It hadn't even crossed their mind that she might not know the concept. They blinked, mentally reeling for a few moments. How- did one explain...?
"...a 'boyfriend',...is a male that one is closely attached to. Someone who makes your heart flutter when you think of 'em,...and who returns such feelings." Oh, how they wished they could've said 'ask your parents'. Being a librarian certainly had its privileges....which didn't apply in this situation, sadly. "They're a special person- one that one feels romantically toward, usually. Someone- you'd consider spending the rest of your life with, I guess? But in a kind of 'let me get to know you before I decide' way."

The main concern at the moment was to get Kawiil somewhere safe enough to calm down and to hide from whatever horrors were awaiting them. Shadow and Knuckles weren't quite sure what they were up against considering the memory wipe. Something Shadow didn't really like if he was honest. It reminded him too much of when he first struggled with memory issues.
They could talk about what the greater purpose was and what this mission was trying to accomplish after they had their daughter settled. Shadow did his best to lead Kawiil with Knuckles following behind with the Master Emerald.
If there was going to be more than one time of looping, they needed to come up with a plan as well. Having to explain the same situation over and over again to Knuckles and Shadow was sure to be a pain.
Hopefully they had time before whatever thing happened before happened again. For now though, the three Mobians made sure to settle in their quarters once they were shown it, making sure both the ME and Kawiil were secure.
Optimus guided the mobians to their quarters. As he did, his processor murmured over the methods of explaining all this in future loops. Presuming this would not be the only time these days would repeat- moments would count. There was little that could be done for this loop, in particular...save gathering information, and attempting to prevent the loop to begin with.
What a horrible fate for a child to endure. No doubt, Kawiil would be changed- but hopefully, Optimus could keep those changes...to a minimum. Something told him the young one he'd met, all smiles and innocence,...was already gone.
"If you would prefer, I can have your breakfasts sent here. We can discuss what to do once you are feeling up to the task." For this loop, at least, he'd not press the matter. The same could not be said for future iterations. No doubt he would come across as less friendly in those, but...it would be what it would be. Time, for those two, would be limited. They would not have the small eternity he, Kawiil, and the other loopers would have.
This would be a 'new' problem for them, every time.
The clone smiled faintly as Optimus asked her to follow him to the computer after she'd asked if it was okay to use it. She'd assumed the answer would have been yes considering Optimus had put the idea in her processor to begin with.
She listened carefully as Optimus spoke of Bulkhead's occasional visit to look at art on the internet. Art wasn't something she knew anything about, but maybe that was something she could look at another time. While she could ask what 'art' was, she wanted to stay focus on this quest for flower knowledge.
But then came the warning. "Got it. If it says free, then it's bad," the femme repeated, stepping in front of the computer. She didn't know how earth internet fared, but she'd messed around with the console on the Nemesis a few times... though primarily to log something while doing chores.
Opening a search engine, the first thing she searched for was simply 'flowers'. That yielded her a plethora of results ranging from local places that sell flowers, top searches regarding flowers, and pages upon pages about what flowers were.
Then she tried a few more searches.
'are trees considered flowers'
'what is flora'
'kinds of flowers'
She hadn't expected the list for that last one to yield as many results as it had, and she'd found herself on a website that sold various gardening tools and flower bulbs. Almost instantly she clicked away as a pop-up displayed mentioning 'free gift with purchase'. "Nope! That's a bad site." Time for another page.
The next was similar, and so she scrolled until another pop-up displayed. '25% off your first purchase if you sign up for our rewards'.
Next!
Finally she opened a page that simply listed the various types of flowers found in gardens alongside pictures of what the flowers looked like. Roses, daffodils, lilies, irises... All of them were pretty until she finally stopped scrolling.
'Clematis'
That was the flower on that sign! The femme's optics widening as she continued to stare at the picture of the pretty blue flowers growing on vines.
He'd given a small nod. At least she was trying to take his advice- though he couldn't help sticking around a little bit towards the start of the other's internet escapade, wanting to ensure she didn't stumble into anything. After her first encounter with an ad resulted in her instantly clicking off, he'd chosen to make his miniature departure. He didn't traverse far, just to the other end of the room- audials listening out for her voice as he booted up the television.
He'd wandered the channels briefly, before settling on one that was showing some cartoon. The volume was kept low so as not to interfere with the clone's exploration. Admittedly, Optimus was only half-paying attention to the show. It was meant for a younger audience (and a human one at that), so bits and pieces flew over his helm, but...it could've been worse.
His finials flicked as the femme's voice registered once more. He resisted a soft chuckle. Yeah,...most of the surface-level websites on the internet weren't great. They weren't awful, but they weren't great.
A few more minutes passed, the dull murmur of the show and the faint click of keys filling the air. Optimus' helm turned when he heard the other once more. An opticridge quirked up. Had...he heard that right?
"Clematis, huh?" May as well make sure. "...it's a pleasant-sounding designation. I think it fits you." A quick search, and...she'd named herself after a flower. It would seem that her enjoyment of flora went a bit deeper than the Prime had initially guessed... He stood, switching off the TV. Might be better to read something off the datapad. "For now,...welcome to Earth, Clematis."
The exit was in sight, and Bumblebee's screeching tires and revving engine clued him in on just how close behind he was.
If he were not currently cuffed with energon cuffs, he would have transformed and jetted off. He was sure he could have avoided the rocks if he could have transformed.
He could hear the rocks cracking and crumbling above him. He looked up, but he was far too late. Stopping, continuing to run? He knew he was done for.
Large boulders crashed beside him. He yelped as he jumped out of their way. But more and more large rocks continued to fall, and it didn't take long before they buried him. He could no longer dodge them.
He covered his helm, wishing he could cover his wings as well. A few large rocks hit him over the helm and knocked him out, resetting his processor while more rocks piled on top.
He was quiet under that rock pile, but not dead. Injured, likely--more than when he had arrived. He would actually need some medical attention now.
At least Bulkhead was quick on his response, the rumble of his engine filling the tunnel as Bumblebee's servos shifted back. His door-wings flicked, annoyance ticking at the edges of his thoughts. It wasn't like he wouldn't have done the same, were the roles reversed- but come on.
Bulkhead at least made short work of removing the worst of the rubble, and between the two of them,...they were able to gather up the injured Eradicon. Bumblebee's attention caught on some of the decidedly-fresh markings on the enemy's helm. Ratchet was not going to be happy. Or rather,...he'd be even less enthused than normal. As if he were ever enthused to begin with.
{Think he'll wake up any time soon?} He buzzed as the two made their way back. Bulkhead vented atmosphere, optics rolling.
"Hopefully not, we've got enough problems right now." The groundbridge futzing, and then that earthquake... Something dinged in his processor. A message from Ash- they and Raf were both fine. The mechs carried the Eradicon back into the main room, where Ratchet had only just begun running a diagnostic on the groundbridge. "Hey, doc."
"I'm busy-" He was about to tell the two to knock it off, he had a groundbridge to repair- all narrowed optics and scowls, but that came to a halt when he spotted his previously-fair patient. Primus, damnit. "-put him back on the medberth." The complaint died in his throat, replaced instead with the simple command. He'd have to worry about the groundbridge after he got the runner fixed back up.
A small curse hissed between gritted denta.
[...]
"That should be the last of it..." He set down his tools, regarding his work. Like most of it at this point, it was a patch job- but it still managed to blend with the rest of the other's framework. He checked his internal clock, unease building as he realized how much time had been spent. "Now, if you two can keep a proper optic on him this time,..."
{Hey!} Bumblebee whined.
"We nearly had the roof coming down on us, Ratch."
"And if the Decepticon had managed to escape the base? Would you be more worried about the roof, Bulkhead?" The medic groused.

Just because she had to endure it, didn't mean she had to like it and Gibbous made sure that everyone knew what her opinion of the wrap was. She shook her paw in the air a few more times. Thankfully, the wrap was in a position that she couldn't do further damage to her sprained wrist.
It was Light who had to step in and catch her muzzle before she could attempt to chomp down on the beige fabric.
"Don't you dare." One of the very rare times that the former soldier's voice gained a stern edge to it. The tone alone enough to stop the toddler in her tracks. She pouted while their eyes met before relenting and pressing her forehead against his shirt.
And it was there she would stay until they began to work out what would be a good distraction. Powder blue tipped ears flicked, jade eyes peeking out.
"Gibbie like hide an seek. Can play?" Seems they had found a winner as Light ran a hand through her bangs.
"You will need to stay in your spot. No running to another." He added the rule and she nodded. One less stress, but he did look up at the bots with a smirk. "How about we make it a bit more fun. No thermal scans unless it's been 10 minutes since the last individual is found."
Ratchet was grateful the other had stepped in. While he did figure he'd become close to the little one, he knew a medic's authority had nothing on that of a guardian's. If he hadn't stepped in,...the wrapping would have either been shredded, or punctured, or- overall just dirtied. And then it would've had to be replaced immediately.
Which probably wouldn't have ended well, given Gibbous' overall dislike of the whole process.
"...wait people do that?" They spoke the words a hint fast for the sake of humor, but Ash's confusion was genuine. They'd not realized that was something people did.
"A fair rule to follow." There was a buzz of disappointment from Bumblebee, though it vanished with a startled snap of static when the Prime's optics turned his way. "Whoever is seeking will not use thermal scans unless ten minutes have passed. You have my word." Bumblebee's door wings lowered. Ratchet sighed, optics rolling. "I propose Arcee to seek, first." The femme blinked as she was suddenly called out.
"Wh-? But I-"
"-need to remember that not every moment is a mission." His faceplates turned back to face the organics. "Unless you or Ash would like to be 'it' first?" He wasn't about to propose Gibbous be the one who was 'it'. She needed to rest- and hiding would afford her more time to do as such.
