Time to reawaken this dead blog

Like it did with everyone else, covid put a hold on our plans and costume building, so we haven’t been on a single convention since late 2019.

But we’re vaccinated and ready; just last month we were in Troisdorf and Bonn (Germany), had a fabulous mermaid photoshoot with the talented Nanni Heuchemer at the river and our own little fairy shoot the next day, so we got lots of pretty pictures.

We're also working on Halloween costumes so more content is about to come for anyone and everyone interested in our cosplay shenanigans

I'll try posting regularly now, so maybe this blog can find it's way into the cosplay community on here

our weekend at Elfia in Arcen was amazing, we had so much luck with the weather, it was warm and it didn’t rain even a little!

sure, it was a bit chilly in our tent during the night, but what do you expect if you’re going camping in September

the pretty girl on the right is my sister, btw, I think we’ve awakened her love for cosplay as well, she wants to join us more often now

Skyrim Helmet Tutorial Part 1

For my helmet I first printed out Kamui Cosplays free helmet pattern https://www.kamuicosplay.com/product/free-supervillain-helmet-pattern/  for the base shape. Next I changed the pattern to fit the Skyrim helmet. 

I cut out the pattern on high density  5mm EVA Foam.

Next I glued the pieces together with contact cement. Then I tried the helmet on and cut away excess foam in some places.

The pattern I used again to make size this second layer of foam. I used 2mm EVA foam. 

Then I used my dremel to smooth the edges and create the lower parts. With KwikSeal I filled the seams and edges for a nicer look. 

Next I added this nose-thingie and the double cap rivets. 

After that I market the places of the horns and the scratches. 

With a cutting knife I made the scratches. 

And at last I glued the horns (made with low denstiy 5mm EVA foam with another pattern form Kamui Cosplay)  to the helmet and surrounded them with 2mm EVA foam. 

For the horm look I used a hot glue gun.

Next I covered my horns in paper mache. 

At last I primed my EVA Foam helmet. 

For the colouring I will post another tutorial if I go on working on my costume. 

My helmet is not 100% accurate but I love how it turned out :)

New Horns for Skyrim Helmet and Faun Costume

This is one of the two horns for my Skyrim Dovahkiin Armor.

And these will be my new Faun Horns. I will add some pictures if they are ready
