Sirius had been running along shooting spell after spell at each death eater he passed in attempt to try and take down as many as he could and save as many people as he could. Exhaustion was beginning to hit him and take it’s toll on his concentration and aim, it was enough to make him nervous but still continue fighting through it. He wasn’t sure what part of the town he was in when he came across the familiar faces, one being an order member and the other being a familiar death eater. Rage over came him as he watched what was unraveling in front of him, seeing no other option as to how to save Andrew, he fired the only spell that came to mind and one that he’d probably never forgive himself for. Avada Kadava fell from his lips before he even had a chance to stop it.
The blonde witch had turned the corner only to come across a disturbing sight. Faye watched as one of her closest friends threw punch after punch at the blond wizard that was pinned on the ground beneath him. She made her way carefully towards them, holding her wand at her side unsure how to proceed. On the one hand, she wasn’t quite sure that Isaac in this mindset would stop. She certainly wouldn’t be able to talk him down. Even if she was able, then it would only leave Isaac vulnerable to attack from Andrew when he saw the opening. The thoughts whirled in her mind as she closed the distance between them. However, all those thoughts left her mind when she noticed another figure appearing from the darkness behind Isaac. Not even a second went by before Faye burst into a sprint. “No!” The words echoed in the street, louder than anything else in the immediate vicinity. It was true that Isaac and Faye hadn’t interacted much in the past few months, since seeing her friend at his worst -- at his most violent. She had been shocked, and unsure how to deal with these new thoughts and questions. It was one thing to know that Isaac was a Death Eater, it had been another to hear the delight that he had taken in causing the suffering that other followers of Voldemort caused. Still, those thoughts did not matter at that moment. All that mattered was that he was her friend. She would not watch him die. She wasn’t prepared for a life without him. A life clouded by the fact she had watched as someone she loved, regardless of his flaws, died before her when she had the chance to stop that.Â
The green light appeared from Sirius’ wand regardless, and Faye’s blue eyes widened in horror as she closed the distance between them -- blocking its way to Isaac. Tears began to form in her eyes as the fear that her best friend was going to meet his end. Still, her legs dragged her to him and she stopped, forming a shield between him and the curse. There was nothing she could do to avoid it -- nothing she could have said to Isaac that would have given him enough time. Instead, the blonde simply took the brunt of the curse. The green light dissipated as it connected with her chest, and there was but a moment of pain -- a flash that pulsed through her whole body -- before her lifeless form fell to the ground between Isaac and his almost-murderer. Her eyes were left wide from the horror, her chest did not rise or fall anymore, and her hand remained tight on her wand.Â

A smile began to tug on his face as he shook his head. “We’ll I’m glad someone can appreciate my charming good lucks.”Â
“How could anyone resist them?” Faye winked at the wizard and offered a smile.

Ethan leaned against the door frame, smiling as he peered across the room toward his girlfriend. Tapping his knuckles against the wood he smiled as he got her attention. “Are you free? My break has just started and I thought we could grab some lunch together?” The young man offered with a smile.
Blue eyes moved from their place on her notebook and looked up to find a familiar handsome man standing in the door frame. A smile immediately found its way to her pinky, glossed lips and she placed the pencil between the pages and set the notebook down against the bed. “That depends, where are you taking me?” Her smile grew wider as she questioned him, but she was already moving from the bed. It was obvious that no matter what the answer, she would be leaving the room with him.
“Didn’t anyone ever tell you it was rude to stare?”
“Oh I just can’t help admiring a masterpiece when I see one.” Faye’s gaze met his. “And you certainly qualify.”
“Sorry I didn’t realise anyone was in here.”Â
“There’s more than enough room for the two of us, Owen.” Faye said, looking up at the wizard who had entered. “Now don’t be a stranger and sit down -- I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever.”

Danny narrowed his eyes at the woman skeptically then shrugged his shoulders and took her hand with a light laugh. “You’re taking me somewhere to kill me aren’t you?” He questioned jokingly.
“If I told you the answer to that then you wouldn’t come with me.” Faye replied, her lips pressed together in an attempt to stop the smile that was tugging at her lips. It didn’t work all that well, because a laugh left her lips only a few seconds later. “You’ll just have to wait and see.”

Isabella laughed lightly as the blonde spoke then nodded her head in response. “Me too, looks like we both need to watch where we’re going.” She said with a slight smile as her eyes wandered back over to the group who had now dispersed. “I’m fine, don’t worry - are you? Sorry again..” She spoke quickly, running a hand back through her hair.Â
The blonde laughed lightly at the brunette’s comment and nodded. “It seems that way, doesn’t it?” She agreed, shaking her head at their mishap. “I’m okay, it's fine." She smiled. "Luckily, it’s more snowy than icy or we would have both ended up on our arses.” She laughed.Â
jenkinsthelion:
Danny shrugged his shoulders with a smile. “I always have time for you.” He laughed lightly.Â
“Great!” A wide smile formed on her lips. “Then follow me.” She said, holding out her other hand for him to take. “It’s not far -- promise.”
ofmeredithx:
She merely shrugged, turning her attention to the tree before looking back at the women. “Maybe I just begun to put my happiness before others for once— it was enjoyable.”
“I heard Christmas was a time to put others before yourself.” Faye stated, but shrugged. “But putting yourself first seems much more beneficial to me.”
“I never really enjoyed Christmas— until now.” Meredith had finished putting up the tree– alone, but nonetheless, she had enjoyed it, despite this normally being a tradition for her to do with Odessa. However, she had grown used to expecting the least, to avoid disappointment.
“What makes now so special?” Faye asked, tilting her head to the side as she looked up at the woman.
jenkinsthelion:
Danny cocked his head to the side ever-so-slightly and narrowed his eyes, studying the woman for a moment. “You don’t have to get me a present..” He protested with a shake of his head. “Nope, I’m on the night shift instead.” The young man sighed heavily.
“Don’t be silly, Danny, it’s all in the Christmas spirit.” Faye smiled and shook his head. “Great, then you have some time to accompany me somewhere?”Â
Isabella made her way through the town, teeth tugging on her bottom lip as she tried to figure out if she was in the right place. The young brunette was bundled in a large winter coat, scarf, gloves and a hat. Although she loved the winter, she never left unprepared. Her eyes scanned the area before settling on a group of people over at the other side of the square, seeing them cast a charm - a patronus.. Isabella thought, unsure of whether she was thinking of the correct spell. A smile spread over her face, now knowing that she’d found the right place. Quickly moving toward the group, the brunette then connected with the body of another, running straight into them. With a groan, the brunette rubbed her forehead.. “Shit, I’m sorry.. I wasn’t looking where I was going.” She said to the other.
The moment Faye came into contact with something hard, she tried to find her balance. The snow beneath her feet had become slippery with the amount people had been treading on it. Her hands flew out, trying to balance herself, which was becoming increasingly difficult. “No, no -- it’s my fault. I was a bit distracted.” Her thoughts had been Merlin knows where. “Are you okay?” The blonde asked, feeling the pain from the collision herself. She really needed to start watching where she was going -- at least there wasn’t hot coffee this time, she supposed.
violet-danes:
“If that’s the excuse you’re going for.” She replied with an amused look. “Now, that one I believe.”Â
“I thought it was a spectacular excuse.” Faye shrugged, smiling at the brunette. “You just looked so embarrassed by the idea.” She run her tongue along her bottom lip.
jenkinsthelion:
Danny couldn’t help but laugh at her comment. “I mean, if that’s what you want to do then we can definitely do that.” He nodded his head, quite frankly the young Gryffindor would do anything if it meant spending time with the blonde.
Faye thought about it for a moment, and eventually reconsidered. Maybe she shouldn’t be promoting early afternoon drinking. “No, I have a better idea. Besides, you deserve a present too.” A smile found its way to her lips. “Wait, you don’t have anything to do this afternoon, do you?”
jenkinsthelion:
Danny’s eyebrows raised as he was pulled into a hug and he could have sworn that his heart rate increased as he closed his eyes for a brief moment, savoring the feeling. “That wasn’t the plan, no.. It’s a present for you, not for us.” He said with a slight smile as he broke the contact between them.Â
“A present for me, when it’s alcohol, is a present for whoever presented the bottle to me.” For the most part. There were occasions when she would take the bottle and run. This was not one of them. “But I won’t hold it against you if you say no. It is,” she looked down at her watch. "1 o'clock." Faye laughed.

“It’s not bad luck if I give you an early Christmas present is it?” Danny asked the woman with a cheeky grin placed on his face as he held forward the gift bag in which there was a rather large bottle of firewhiskey. He was unsure if Faye even liked that, but he figured giving her that would have been better than handing over a bottle of straight vodka.Â
“Other people might say yes, but I’m open to gifts all year round.” Faye smiled wide, blue eyes peering down into the bag to catch a glimpse. Of course the moment she took the bag from him, she pulled the bottle out. “Firewhiskey! Perfect choice.” She place the bottle back in the bag and pulled him in for a hug. “Thank you, Danny. And I take it you’re going to help me finish the bottle?” She raised a brow, sending him a cheeky grin.
