What got you to start writing the lovable❤ bean dwight? 👉👈

I uuh, never really considered it “writing” them... but I suppose I am XD Though I think if I told myself that a few months ago I would have panicked because I am not fond of my writing at all.

But here, I’ll give you the long winded answer because I talk about it all the time to the people who will listen XD you guys here are just the next victims~

tl;dr It’s because I’m obsessed

So I started playing DbD back in 2016! When there was only Dwight, Meg, Claudette, Jake and Nea. At the time I liked Dwight best, I honestly can’t remember why. It was probably a little bit of everything, his outfits and his glasses I’m sure. None of my other friends gravitated to him either so that helped too XP

Since then I never really stopped maining him, even as new characters came out I never really resonated with any of them like I did with him. IDK why okay maybe I do a little.

Anyways, as most people know, I’m a furry artist. I come from a background of mainly drawing ponies (mlp g4 style) and dragons, and actually had a few pony ask blogs. For years I had loved my boy but had been unable to draw him. God help me I tried. I was following many DbD art and ask blogs back in Tumblr’s hay day and had always wished I could join in myself but was unable to.

So once I finally felt like I had gotten decent enough at drawing humans to give it a spin, and had picked up playing DbD more again (I never really stopped but I had slowed down for a bit) I made this blog. I actually had the blog idea for a few months before I made it, I wanted to see if it was just a phase before I committed to an ask blog. I was still very unconfident with my skills drawing humans but so help me god that was not going to stop me!! Unfortunately the state of Tumblr is nowhere near what it used to be u.u but I’ve still really been enjoying running this blog and drawing my boys!

I’d honestly never obsessed over a character before, like I’ve been in multiple fandoms and have really enjoyed the characters and stories but I’ve never picked out a single canon character and been like that’s mine until Dwight. And god damn this man makes me question my gender like never before.

I haven’t gotten any hate yet so I can’t be doing too bad. Everyone’s just been real nice. ;w; So I just keep drawing and writing more of the funky little guys.
