Also Hubert:
My favorite non-spoiler screenshots. No thoughts behind any of their eyes. Claude looks high off his ass, Yuri is a supermodel, Caspar is loading, and Dimitri's making a face like he's just seen a woman's ankle for the first time.
I'm gonna avoid spoiling FEW3H for now, but I'm gonna say that if you think the lords are better off without Byleth you are a fool™️. I beg of you to have a little bit of comprehension. Just look at them. Those three are not okay.
I just saw the credits of 3Nopes and saw that Kusakihara is only credited as character designer and supervisor, he wasn’t a writer or supervisor for this game. It’s the Koei scenario writers that wrote this game, but the original writer didn’t work on it despite him having a whole chronology somewhere in his notes.
“Yokota: I think it’s amazing how you’re always so particular about little details like that. As reference materials for development, you even created a whole chronology for Fodlan from the very beginning, beyond just what would get revealed during the story. You’re the kind of amazing guy who’d write about events taking place thousands of years before the era of the main story.
Kusakihara: I think there’s a good ten thousand years’ worth in total. Though I’m also the kind of guy who wouldn’t put this chronology out there (laughs).”
So yeah you can safely discard this game as non-canon if you want.
Devastated to learn about losing Billy. He fought so hard. I wish his family well and hope he rests easy.
Arval is very endearing but c'mon something is definitely going on behind the scenes
Dimitri to Byleth: Please do consider returning to the Kingdom with me 💕
Dimitri to Shez: Lmao are you fuckin sure you wanna come back to the monastery? 🤨
Shez I'm starting to like you. Please don't fuck it up by killing my dad. I beg of you.
STAY FOCUSED WE MUST STAY FOCUSED
Imagine you're Shez and you somehow just defeated the Ashen Demon. You feel awesome, everything's going your way and then a bunch of mercenaries keep coming out of the woodwork to kill you.
You finally learn that Jeralt the fucking Blade-Breaker was the Ashen Demon's father and he's coming to rock your shit because you just took away the only thing that he was living for. His baby that he did everything to protect and his wife sacrificed herself for.
And those mercenaries? They're not just coming after you because their boss told them to. They're fucking livid because you killed that weird kid they trained with and watched grow up. The person who always had their backs in a fight and gave them little gifts all the time.
Nice knowing you, buddy.
FEW3H Theory:
Okay don't take me too seriously here, I just want to put this out there bc I literally cannot stop thinking about it.
So obviously at this point we know Shez is our protagonist, but as of now we don't know much about them. Why did Byleth try to kill them, who is Arval really? What is Shez's goal?
It might be a stretch, but there have been some theories about Arval being involved with the Agarthans. Is this mind goblin good like Sothis, or something more sinister? All I have to go on is vibes alone and this fella seems kinda shady. Personally, I think Shez is kinda shady too, but I doubt the protagonist is going to be unlikeable. Perhaps they are mislead? Made into a pawn? Anyway, something weird is going on.
Now hear me out, Shez becomes good friends with the classmates, we can see it in the trailer- but at some point I think Shez might betray them. I don't know if that would be Shez's intentions or Arval's, but we'll see. There's a couple clues that could support this:
-Claude's line in the first trailer. "Now that I know, I won't make the same mistake again."
-The fact that we see some of the house leaders working together (or at the very least are not at each other's throats in particular scenes)
-And finally, Byleth's general goodness that we know they have. They are the Ashen Demon because of their face, not their heart. I know they had a valid reason for their fight with Shez, it doesn't make sense otherwise. I will 100% support their villain arc if they go down that path, honestly, it sounds fun! But I'm not sure that's what's happening here.
Now, what do these things have to do with anything? That's where Byleth comes in. It's probably wishful thinking but what if they're able to turn back the hands of time far enough to prevent Shez's betrayal, and then maybe they become our protagonist again? I mean, we do hear Sothis' voice in the trailer (and of course, that doesn't necessarily mean those lines are in the game, but we can assume that it's a possibility), and we generally only hear her speak in Byleth's head. Now if Byleth somehow convinces the leaders of the threat that Shez/Arval poses, maybe they can find a way for everyone to work together?
I don't know! But it's fun to think about! Thanks for listening to my TedTalk.
i know this has probably been done before but I couldn't get it out of my head after finding out that byleth might be the villain in fe3hopes. behold: that one scene from princess mononoke but its dimileth

Do you guys ever think about when Dimitri saw Byleth for the first time in half a decade and told them "I should have known that one day you'd be haunting me as well?"
And do you maybe think about if Dimitri wondered why he never saw Byleth's ghost or heard their voice during all that time he thought they were dead?
Do you think that maybe he thought their spirit had faith in him to avenge them and that's why they never joined the other ghosts in tormenting him? Did he worry that they didn't care enough or maybe they cared so much that they left him alone? Maybe they knew that if they joined in it would break him completely, so they stayed away?
So maybe when he saw them, thinking that they were there to finally scorn him for not getting revenge, whatever hope he held was shattered because the one ghost of his past, the one person that he thought wouldn't torment him finally had enough of him and his failures.
Because I do. I think about it a lot.
I support her vengeance arc. She can step on me and I'd thank her. Slay bitch.
YOU GUYS GET IT
I gotta know what Shez did to piss off Byleth. I gotta know. It's keeping me awake at night.
Their first battle is a year before FE3H takes place, so Byleth is still working as a merc with their daddy. Did Jeralt's company target this purple stranger? Did they just get cocky and challenge Byleth to a midnight duel? They had to have done SOMETHING to deserve it, right? Byleth may be the Ashen Demon, but that doesn't mean they went around killing people for fun. Despite the lack of remorse on their face we all know that deep down they're a good person, and Jeralt raised his kiddo better than that so WHAT IS GOING ON?
I support her vengeance arc. She can step on me and I'd thank her. Slay bitch.
