Satine is very isolated, some of which she has done to herself, some of which has been forced on her, by the time she has Senaara and it really does become just them against the world.
Satine doesn't trust governesses, she knows they are lovely people, she was raised by one, but it doesn't feel right for her daughter. So what do you do when you're an extremely busy Duchess with a new born who is very clingy? You baby wrap that baby in Mandalorian tradition and continue on.
Senaara made a name for herself in council meetings at only a few months old for the sounds she would randomly make, that Satine would take as a sign of her opinion to humor those around her.
Satine is also protective, not in the overbearing way, but in the way that if everything went according to plan, the public wouldn't have seen Senaara's face at an event untill she was ten. Satine knows the pressure that comes with being seen as the heir and didn't want that for her kid. She made sure that if Senaara's face was seen it was only through required family portraits.
And then in the Clone Wars au, many photos get taken by space paparazzi and that's not very Satine approved(Padme handles it).
Satine also doesn't have the words for autism or neurodivergence, as in Mandalorian culture I like to think those qualities were just accepted and adapted around as a different skill set. She however understands that Senaara is different and does what she can to make sure her daughter is cared for and never made to feel different. She makes sure Senaara's clothes are comfortable, she makes sure that the chefs understand Senaara's food discomforts and can make her a balanced meal with her limitations, she makes sure Senaara's interest are cultivated and her emotions allowed to be explored. Perhaps it's because Satine is similar and never had the vocabulary herself to understand it, perhaps she just really loves her daughter.
Speaking of emotions, Satine knows Senaara is force sensitive. She has known since the moment she held her, she had it confirmed to her when Senaaraa was a few months old. So terrified that Senaara may be taken from her by the Jedi order, it becomes the one part of Senaara she has tried to hide or prevent from cultivating. She is ashamed of it but she fears both what the Jedi Order would do and what the Mandalorians would do if they found out. Senaara knows not to stim in certain ways because Satine doesn't like it, she doesn't realize those stims were using the force unknowingly.
In one universe of them this manifests in Senaara becoming ill from all the force that she is repressing. In the Clone Wars au it means Obi Wan and Anakin are about to discover something fun.
I think anytime anyone mentions any dynamic in my asks I will use it to ramble so I hope this was useful in some way. I really like Satine and Senaara too :)
