Finally finished this drawing of my favorite dino the Spinosaurus!
Been wanting to draw the new species too. The colors are based on herons, kinda looks like various fish too. The other parent and kids are around there too. Probably down steam fishing.

This weekend we started a new series on #Paleostream!
Pocket Prehistory is a project in which I draw small extinct critters as museum specimens, life sized, on post card formats.
I only do adults so don't expect a T. rex fetus or something ;)
We plan to sell these as postcards on Dinocon in Birmingham this year.
rise and fall
A bunch of drawings of different theropod dinosaurs, mostly their skulls. I do these so I can have references physically on hand, and not have to look at pictures on a screen all the time. Hence drawing the skulls of Spinosaurus so I can exactly understand the difference between the two species.
For Erlikosaurus and Segnosaurs, I wanted to get an idea of what the head of latter might've looked in life. The only part its skull that paleontologists have found is the lower jaw.
With Giganotosaurs, in addition to understanding what parts of the skull is actually known, I included a few notes about possible soft tissue anatomy.

After a long voyage catching fish at sea, a Pelagornis returns to spend some quality time with her wife.
I am convinced that Pelagornis would have been incredibly gay in life, homosexual relationships seem to be VERY common in seabirds (albatrosses and penguins are the most famous ones, but it has also been documented in gulls, terns, auks and cormorants, aswell as just alot of birds in general).
More progress on my paleoart embroidery piece 🪡
Cold — ✧ Speedpaint ✧ Old art of one of my raptors. Don't mind the lower jaw. It's not recommended to pet her, she is friend-shaped but she may bite.
