— Utahraptor
— Rhamphorhynchus
[ID: Digital illustration with some unnatural posing and proportions floating over a dark green rectangle on an off white background. Its head faces down to the center right, the majority of its body following the same angle. its front two legs are angled down, its right leg slightly drawn up. Its left long, side spike is unnaturally bent to stay in the frame. Its back legs are gathered underneath it, and its spiky tail is bent at unnatural angles, filling up space in the top left corner. In the bottom left corner is a watermark reading “LEAVES AND INKS” /end ID]

— Another austroraptor for the masses
Kinda going nuts over how all of the mainstream news headlines are going nuts over "the all-new aquatic T. Rex!!!", and not a one of them is bothering to mention that the full name (Tylosaurus Rex) translates to "King of the Knob Lizards"...
I just, the paper checks out, it does seem to be a new species, but did the authors not think "will this cause needless confusion"????? come on
my headspace lost world island didn’t have enough fliers so I made a bunch
Rhamphorhynchus was a pterosaur species from the late Jurassic and the namesake of the rhamphorhynchoid family. They spent most of their lives flying over coastal waters in what is today Germany.
On that pterosaur grind. I love these toothy fellas.
Well with the new light over Nanotyrannus i was inspired to do a couple of drawings, hope you like it
