Hello!! Welcome to my personal hell! I've been urged by everyone ever to make a tumblr to birdpost!
I'm Orca/Pigeon and I've been rehabbing/rescuing birds since I was little (with a vets guidance, ofc) I am a bio and environmental sciences student, and very passionate about parrot and wild bird diets and health!
I figured I'd start by introducing my flock, or as I call them, the mafia!
Pistachio, the disabled Senegal! 🚺 11+ years old,
A sweet grumpy parrot, who has an incredible will to live. Midly visually impaired, BALD!! and not flighted, sadly. She is no longer a plucker, but has damaged feather follicles, so its unlikely she will ever be fully feathered, but hope is the last to die! She looks very menacing, but is very very sweet and vocal, and loves scratches. She was rescued from a horrific situation, and despite everything, fought for her life and survived!
Rootbeer, the European Starling! 🚺 1st year female!
Lacking brain cells and with a nest injury that left her with an Italian foot (🤌) she is an absolute pest.I love her. I picked her up off the curb when she was a fledgeling who couldn't move around well due to her injuries, and now she is a cursed resident of this dungeon. She is constantly wet, probably thinks she is a duck, divebombs mice, and rolls around when she's mad.

Flurry -🟡🔵⚪️ - 🚹 - The 🧿👄🧿 face maker. A sweet, but skittish budgie, actual age is unknown as he is a rescue, but I've had him for two years. Rescued and treated for mites and given time to acclimate, he became lively and curious in no time!
Kale - 🟢🔵🟡 - 🚹 - 3 years old - The bard. A big chonky boy, loooves putting on a show and sings to every object he can find, if there are none, his foot does the job just fine.
Cookie - 🔵⚪️ - 🚺 - 3 years old - The boss. With Schrodinger's gender, having had an adult male's blue cere for a year+, then suddenly developing a beer belly and a female's cere, it is likely Cookie has some sort of hormonal imbalance. He has a slight fat deposit on his chest, but is healthy otherwise! Big personality here, he runs the show and loves baths, but they must be absolutely FRESH.
Turnip - ⚪️🩶 - 🚹 - The runt, extremely sweet, loves naps and gets along with everyone. Actual age is also unknown, he came from the same home as Flurry, and was in a small cage with 20 other birds. With a partially amputated toe + a type ball and having recovered from heavy metal poisoning, he is a happy, healthy boy now!
