One sex scene to rule them all. And this one under the green light is something else.
This scene has been talked about ad nauseam, but I can’t help mentioning it because, it’s the best NC in the whole series. It blows my mind thinking it was the first NC scene MileApo did. I mentioned here, how much trust goes into scenes like this, how it’s vital for the actors so they can free themselves of all fears, go into character and be vulnerable. If the pool scene was a dance, the mirror one is a symphony with two musicians playing each other as instruments, with perfection.
One word to describe it is primal. They’re both driven by instincts, above all Kinn, reason takes a backseat.
It’s not the sex per se but what leads to it, all those emotions involved. They are overwhelmed by them, jealousy, anger, fear, disappointment, desperation, etc., everything which heads to the climax and Kinn losing it in Porsche’s arms.
Jealousy and anger: The moment when Kinn enters that bathroom we know there will be violence and blood and he will lose it, all except Porsche. Until Kinn yells at him, he’s persuaded that he’s safe, why not? He hasn’t done anything wrong. But Kinn’s jealousy and anger were already fed by years of Vegas wanting what belongs to him and Pete describing everything to his boss about what VegasPorsche were doing, hand-holding, etc.
Cruelty: ‘You’re way looser than I thought.’ Damn, that was cruel. And Kinn is lucky he only got a slap. He deserved a good old punch for that one. It was so uncalled for, he was Porsche first and the only man he had been with and he called him a whore. But I understand his anger. The moment Porsche talks about Tawan, he knows Porsche got that information from Vegas and no one else. And it only pour gasoline into an already burning fire of jealousy. Because not only Vegas and Porsche talked, but Porsche listened and believed him. And the only cure to jealousy is love and the moment he heard Porsche say he shouldn’t have LOVED him and he decides to leave, finally the green-eyed monster leaves. And he apologised.
Five senses: It’s the scene where one feels that all senses are involved and one can actually feel it. The touch, the moment where Kinn holds Porsche against the mirror. The smell, the way Kinn relishes Porsche’s scent. The sight, the way they look into each other eyes, pleasuring each other. The taste, how they devour each other’s mouth. And the hearing, their loud breathing how Kinn moans Porsche’s name.
The mirror: It was a great touch, one really doesn’t know where to look, both character occupying all the space, which isn’t that big. But what stayed with me is the way they are themselves a mirror, mirroring each other’s expressions. The way they climax with each other mouth wide open, the pleasure, etc.
High: They do look high, they are on drugs, it’s in the euphoria, Kinn’s expression of almost confused wonder and pleasure. Kinn’s drug is Porsche desire to please him, and Porsche does it this time being fully conscious. Porsche is domineering, in control, and for Kinn it’s the greatest drug, because Porsche WANTS him completely. As for Porsche he doesn’t hold back and seeing this man losing it in his hands is the best aphrodisiac possible.
