Kahaku keeps bringing up the idea of Fushi having his babies. Fushi is on better terms with Kahaku, but its starting to annoy Fushi. So one day in a fit of annoyance he tells Kahaku “fine, but YOU have to carry it!” And Kahaku is like “um what?” And Fushi said “its too risky, I don’t know if I can even carry a baby. And what would happen if I had to shift or if a nokker attacked and stole the form that was pregnant? Its too risky! You’re the one who wants a baby so bad so you have to get pregnant. Aren’t you happy? This is your big break to have a baby with me!”
In reality Fushi does at least know that males can’t become pregnant, but he’s saying it to get Kahaku off his back. He’s not being serious. Meanwhile Kahaku is wondering if Fushi actually knows that men can’t get pregnant. Or maybe they CAN and Kahaku is the ignorant one while Fushi knows something he doesn’t. He starts to think about the possibilities. He considers himself a pretty well educated and worldly person and he’s never heard of a man getting pregnant before, but hey stranger things have happened, like Fushi and nokkers. Perhaps it’s possible somehow?
Kahaku desperately throws himself into research about if there’s a way for him to get pregnant, including scouring the library, asking (embarrassing himself) in front of his friends, and even asking god. Meanwhile everyone is like “bruh I actually feel a little bad for kahaku, look what you’ve done Fushi,” and Fushi is like “I was just messing with him!” And of course Kahaku is happily declaring he’ll be the one to carry Fushi’s children.
